Dear Augie's. You have a bee issue on you patio. We love bees but one time I was on your patio recently was stung in the neck. Oh well. I'll still come back. 3rd time back since bee sting and still a bee issue. Please, please do something about excessive bees on patio. Some folks are allergic to bee stings. There are literally too many bees for this patio for one to feel comfortable. Parents be aware for your children. Not really safe at this time. The flies we can deal with, but bees sting. Good food. Good atmosphere outside. Luckily there were not a lot of bugs! I would give 5 but I am extremely sensitive to smoke and they allow people to smoke inside. Food is okay, pretty good size burgers actually and the sunset really is nice to watch their over the lake. My only issue is every time I go there the service is so so so slow. Sometimes you wait forever even for just a drink. read more

Just sat outside and ate. They have a snack bar type menu. I ate a chicken fried steak sandwich and fries. It was pretty good. The wait staff is kind of slow but it was very busy on the night that I went. The waitress was very nice though. They had live music that night and it was good. read more

She is a service dog for me and my traumatic brain injury. She has task she performs. No paper work like I was told to provide. Do what you want. Love, love, love this place. It's a cotton pickin dive an a half on the lake. HaHaHa It's on the southeast side of the dam on the south end of Eagle Mountain Lake. Everybody needs to stop by this place if ur out on the lake for the day. The beers cold and the food ain't to bad either. The only set back is the smoking. Inside smells like ur typical bar but if u don't like that they do have a large outdoor covered patio. So boat on in and try the chicken fried steak sandwich an a cold beer. Yum!! read more

They screw our order up and didn't bring us condiments! So Food is cold by the time she brought us a napkin and condiments. So upset they don't care! Quaint little place right on the lake. Poor, poor service. The waitress in the outdoor area ignored us for an hour now. I had to place a to-go order inside yet we're still waiting for our food. Order placed at 1:36. It's 2:21 and still nothing so my 2 star rating is gracious. If you're looking for a place to drink and not eat, this is the place to go. The ambiance is great. Sign says $3 to fish but they actually charge $6 for kids. Took my daughter to fish for first time and being a kids first time she obviously needed help. They said if I do much as helped by by touching anything I was fishing too and had to pay as well. My uncle whom is a marine veteran, was kicked out of this place because he had a service dog. FYI, it's against the law for the owner of any establishment to ask a persons disability, or refuse to let their service dog into your establishment. Should have your license revoked. Absolutely disgraceful. High stress will induce a seizure, and the owner being so rude and aggressive towards him could have very well caused my uncle to seize. She's lucky he didn't. Owner of this establishment obviously has no respect for our vets, or the disabled community. Despicable. Should be ashamed. Doesn't belong in the service industry. read more

I have been here a few times and always varying Friday night and Saturday afternoon and evening. Sunday I arrive at 10:45AM. Knowing I will have to wait for service. The chubby chick and the strong aroma of 4/20 blew me down. I can stand the odor however, her demeanor was SO horrible. She didn't offer a menu to ponder as 15 minutes were not that big of a deal. Especially for a place that should accommodate customers whom are wanting to have a gala. Her eating her food while explaining "chomp, We don't open for 15 minutes, chomping". Terrible. My daughter is well liked here as are her spending sprees. It's 10:59 and I only wanted to speak to someone, without food in their mouth, about her upcoming birthday. 11:00 AM. I thought the place was a pretty cool place....even named a drink after my band......until......my band was canceled after playing just 5 days days before, with what they said was a good night, better turnout than any other band on that night yet this year. After being lied to by the owners reasoning for canceling us. (Dockes needed working on).....ppphhht..... we just played there 2 nights ago and docks were fine. Only to find out they're booking another band at the same exact minute of the day they're cancelling us. How do I know?? They accidentally sent they're text to me. When fronted out about the lie she cancels the rest of our shows for the year. Why would we want to play at your dump if you do business this way. Not to mention it took 45 minutes to get a simple drink. Then I watch the same thing happen to the people who came out to see us. VERY VERY POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES AND SERVICE. If you go sit outside by the lake, inside is just a Smokey bar, you can set under the covered part or in the sun. This is a great place for a burger, fish sandwich, etc. and a cold beer. This was my very first experience on Eagle Mountain Lake. Augies is right on the water so you can drive or boat up. We got a table outside on the patio over looking the lake. The sunset view was great! We got there a little after 8pm and the band was just gettin' set up. I had the catfish which was absolutely YUMMY! I also recommend the Onion scoops which were to die for and the bottlecaps were good too. I asked my husband to save me a bite of his cheeseburger because that's what this place is famous for... unfortunately, it was so delicious apparently, that he gobbled it all up before I could get a bite in for review purposes. Maybe that says it all anyway... So- The band got going around 9 and the crowd began to get frisky. Now the show REALLY begins. People watching is fabulous at this place. We were highly entertained all night long!!! The band was Fortysomething and they played all the great classic rock hits. The music was EXCELLENT and people even dance at this place! Woo hoo! We enjoyed the music, drinks, and people watched until the place closed down. The service got a little slow when the place got packed and the maze of tables and chairs you must get through to get to the bathroom was almost comical but all in all I loved it! This place definitely gets my stamp of approval and next time I am gonna get a bite of that hamburger! read more

I personally will not go back here. The service is mediocre (maybe even under it), the food really is pretty bad, and it took two hours for the people I was eating with (just four of us) to get our food (from taking drink orders to getting the food). If I hear that they are doing better, I will try this place again (for the fourth time). In the meantime, I will not go back. read more

This place is very deceiving I must say. After eating here for the first time I'm hooked. This was the best catfish I've ever had! by far out beats the expensive resteraunts! the blue frozen margarita was delicious ,beautiful view. Very nice people working here!!I don't eat bacon but took a bite of my daughters BLT and it was the best ever! This is defiantly going to be my lunch time go to spot from now on.
