Can't say a negative thing! It's a dive, but don't be afraid as those are usually the best places. The crawfish were big and plentiful. The crawfish po boy had ample and seasoned crawfish in it. Double coated fries were the icing on the cake. The crab legs were a bit spicy but not a deal breaker. Dessert was amazing. The caramel rum sauce on the bread pudding could be a dessert on its own. Found this place by chance when looking for a seafood restaurant in the area. Had the best fried catfish dinner! Service was great and food was served piping hot. Most importantly, the flavor of the food was delicious! The bar was great because of the number of customers sitting at it even though we weren't drinking alcohol this visit. The restaurant has a New Orleans type feel. Service is really friendly and good. The crab stuffed 'shrooms are really good. The chicken & andouille gumbo has a brown "beefy" sauce. I added Crystals and it helped. The Jambalaya is really dry. I like mine juicier. The fried shrimp was good. The grits is the shrimp and grits was bland and too mushy. The Beignets were okay. What is not to love about fried? Needing to be gluten-free unfortunately, I have to skip that part. Most of the menu was difficult for me but the Boudin stuffed Jalapeños with Cajun cream sauce on top will have me returning. Hubs loved his catfish and it looked amazing but it's not GF. I played it safe and ordered blacked catfish and received it grilled which was fine, still good. I chose the vegetable of the day and the okra. I was so truly excited to try this place, the owner has always been super kind and he used to do boils out of his home and connecting us to Cajun cuisine. They are still fairly new so I'm sure there's some staffing and other issues playing a factor in the background. Nonetheless, my visit was very underwhelming. We walked in and waited about 10 mins to even be acknowledged by anyone. So many employees walked by avoiding eye contact. Then of course the wait for the food, almost an hour. And the food wasn't even remotely warm when we got it. I could give my toddler the fries without even cooling it down. The pasta was almost cold, room temperature at best. The appetizer platter was decent, though the natchitoches meat pie was super fishy and we couldn't stomach it. I waited over 30 minutes for my food only for them to tell me they were out but still brought out my friends food...I had to ask where my food was and then they have me an attitude. After reading both good and bad reviews about Terrebones, I decided to give it a shot. As a Louisiana native, I know what good crawfish should taste like--and unfortunately, this wasn't it. The flavor was lacking. It tasted like it had been soaked in salt and jalapeños, but there was barely any true crawfish boil seasoning. I ordered 3 pounds for my first visit, hoping for the best, but was really disappointed. The quality was poor. So many of the crawfish were broken--tails and heads smashed. From the picture, it might look okay, but I suspect whoever prepped the plate placed the whole ones on top to hide what was underneath. Finally! Terrebonne's had a 2-day VIP Opening this weekend. It did not disappoint. The food looks good, and what I had was really good. If you are venturing over after eating in Colleyville and then Bedford, you will find exactly what you are looking for, with a few new added items. They do not have Crawfish yet but are expected to this coming weekend. I was by myself, so I didn't have room to try any appetizers, although I saw some of my Faves. I had the Envie and it was excellent. Perfectly Blackened Redfish, plus a healthy Skewer of Grilled Shrimp, all over Jambalaya. I also got a Bread Pudding afterwards. I'm pretty picky about Bread Pudding, and this version was perfection. Served in a Cereal Bowl with plenty of dark, rich Rum Sauce in the bottom. The waitstaff was very attentive. The kitchen was a bit slow, but we were warned of that, and I'm sure that will speed up as they find their footing. No Alcohol License yet - but it's coming - BYOB for the interim. This is a nice-looking place. Just what you would want for a Cajun Joint. They have the same Freezers full of Products to take home and cook, and well as hard-to-find authentic Spices on the adjoining shelves. It was my first time visiting Terrebonne's and it was very busy and packed especially for Sunday afternoon. I had to wait for a table which was okay. I thought it was a good signs for the place. The place appeared to be nice and clean. The service was nice and very friendly. She was very nice. I ordered shrimp Boudreaux pasta and dirty rice but they just ran out of the dirty rice. And they had long list of dishes that they were out off...they were even out of lemon at a seafood restaurant before dinner time. My husband had the crawfish Po'Boy and he got enough that he couldn't finish it all so he took the other half of the sandwich! Over all..we will be going back to try other food on the menu! Crawfish is unmatched. Po'boys are fantastic. The pasta dish (can't remember the name of it) is to die for and that red fish, that red fish is my favorite!!! Highly recommend. So I am posting this on behalf of my Uncle. I discussed this with him and this is what he had to say about his experience here. "We had been there about a month ago. Food was good, service was extremely slow, kind of rude and they weren't busy. Today, we waited 30 minutes before someone finally took our order and bought us tea and water. Not really busy today either. No biggey, it's Saturday, we're enjoying each other. Kat's meal comes out 30 minutes later (we've been there 1 hour now). I asked about mine, he said he would check, 20 minutes later, no response. No drink refills. I asked several different people to check my order, crickets... After Kat was finished, I find him again and tell him to just forget mine and cash us out. He takes my card and walks off... Now the food shows up. I told the lady dropping off I came here to eay "with" my wife, not after. She said the food comes from two different places, I said "I don't care, you are one restaurant and ive been here 1 1/2 hours"! Her response was "I DONT CARE EITHER AND WALKS AWAY!!!" I asked our waiter, "Who is she and can you get me the Manager!". His reply "she is the Manager" I kidd you not! We're done!!!" After hearing what he went through at this place, I will never be going there amd he is informing everyone of his experience. Stopped in today for the first time. Crawfish had great flavor! I ordered the crawfish and shrimp platter. 2 lbs crawfish with a half lb of shrimp. Fantastic! Only thing I would change with how this is served is that the corn and potatoes should be cooked in the boil. They are much more flavorful that way. First off the bad... The gumbo is way too salty. We talked to the manager and he agreed. I judge a Cajun place by their gumbo and it is two thumbs down. Everything thing else was great. The waitstaff was friendly, the crawfish was great, the fried pickles were good. If you order off of the boil menu you get your food quick. If you order from the kitchen you wait. So beware if you have people in your party ordering differently. As of this writing the place is BYOB even though yelp says there is a full bar. So for now bring your beer with you. Decided to spend Super Bowl here tonight. Started with about 3lbs of crawfish. Early in the season so size was mixed from field run to large lol! Seasoned to perfection though. Not too spicy where my son could eat about 3 before grabbing for his water. The shrimp po boy was good and the roast beef poppy was okay (gravy was a little too salty for my taste). So last year when Terrebonne's opened, it was a wait and well worth it. We have been there quite a few times. Hoping to get crawfish tonight, expected the wait. However, when no one was there to greet us and even get us on the waiting list after about 25 minutes, a waitress came out and told the others on the wait list the kitchen was backed up and so they weren't seating any of the others on the wait list. Actually, we never made it to the wait list. Very disappointing as our prior experiences have been good or better. GREAT CAJUN FOOD! Me and my boyfriend have been looking for a spot for months now and this place was amazing. The staff were great. Jared and crew were amazing in accommodating us with our dog as we just came from the dog park. We had the sampler platter with meat pies, hush puppies, egg rolls and boudin balls. Loved the taste of all except the egg rolls as it seemed like boudin balls stuffing all over again. We then split the crab and shrimp boil which had really good Cajun seasoning. Much better cooked-in taste than the "bag" places. The only reason I'm giving this place a four at this time is a lot of our shrimp(1 pound) was cooked a little too long making it tough to peel.
