It is listed as 3-chili but I could handle it by avoiding the chili pieces. The Bullfrog with Baby Ginger has the bullfrog cut up in little pieces; no you don't see a whole frog! The meat was actually good but most pieces have bones in it, so it takes time to eat it carefully. There was ginger slices in it but it, but we thought the slices were quite large! The Stir-Fried Cauliflower with Preserved Pork was very delicious! It came in a sizzling plate. The Cauliflower was flavourful and was not crunchy and not too soft. I've never had preserved pork slices before; it was quite good, not as salty as Chinese preserved vegetables. The Drunk Oolong has comes in a small bowl a with gin and ice. On the side, they include pieces of the charcoal roasted oolong tea leaves so you can smell it; quite a good smell indeed. You can also order it without the gin, which is what I ordered for mine (since I don't drink alcohol). It was such a nice drink! The Lemon Taro Balls dessert was pretty. In the centre was a slice of lemon. The customer service was good. There is plenty of indoor table and counter seating, including a small private room at the back. There is also an outdoor patio during warmer weather. There is pop music playing in the background. There is no free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. All she does is just smiling at me. It feels like they rely on people not checking the bill or not understanding due to the language barrier. Our server, Sophia, was bubbly and friendly, giving suggestions and helping with the ordering process for the other person who wasn't as sure what they wanted. We eventually went with two appetizers and two entrees, which was more than enough food, and honestly, we could have only ordered one appetizer. The better of the two appetizers was the CAD 8.95 Hand Shredded Pepper Chicken/手撕椒麻雞/Shou Si Ji. The dish consists of cold chicken in a flavorful sauce, topped with some greens. The chicken was tender, with a mild, pleasant spice and a bit of numbingness from the Sichuan peppercorns, along with some fragrance, presumably from sesame oil. It reminded me a bit of salivating chicken you find in some Szechuan spots, but it was more aromatic and a bit less spicy. The other appetizer was the Steamed Edamame/岩鹽毛豆 with Himalayan pink salt for CAD 5.95. The other person chose between this and the vegetable dumplings, as he avoids pork, and it was, of course, lighter than the other appetizer. The decent portion of edamame was topped with some pickled carrots as a garnish. My main dish was the Braised Beef Noodles/紅燒牛肉面/Hong Shao Niu Rou Mian. The dish included several options, including size, noodle style, and spice level. I chose the large for CAD $20.95, medium spice, and for the noodle style, I chose flat/宽面, as it was closest to the prism style I like at Lanzhou spots in the States. Along with these, I also added a tea egg for an extra CAD 2.95. Outside the add-on, the dish also had a couple of large slices of radish. Compared to some spots in NYC, I slightly preferred the QQ/bouncy texture of the noodles at a spot near me. However, the broth was better here with a balanced amount of mala, though I would likely order spicy next time, as I tend to add chili oil to the relatively lighter Lanzhou broths. The beef was also much better, being tender with a mild chew regardless of whether it was tendon or other cuts. The tea egg was flavorful and worth the add-on, especially when the inside was dipped further into the broth. I can see why others order this. The other person went with the Signature Stir-fried Noodles/招牌炒面/Chao Tatiaozi. There was an option of protein, and he went with Chicken for $17.95 and added the same egg. I tried a bit, and there was a pleasant pepperiness with a bit of numbing flavor, but less than my dish. The noodles had a good bounciness and overall had a slightly better chewiness than mine. This was lighter overall, but also tasty. This spot has apparently come to the US already at the Mall of America, and I would love it if there were a location closer to me. Good place.

We waited 15 minutes to sit down which was understandable as it was a busy lunch, however we saw seats available. When we were sat down we only had 10 minutes to receive the lunch prices. When we ordered our food on the iPad we received our dessert first including ice-cream and deep fried bananas which we clearly did not want to start, and got bad looks when we asked to get our food first. We continually asked for water and they kept telling us it would be on its way. The sushi was alright but the dim sum wasn't anything to write home about. We finally received our waters as we got the bill. We had to re order dessert because it had already been delivered before. Cold service and not friendly. Tempura items were excellent, with crisp batter and came out piping hot. The salmon rose, spicy salmon sushi, squid sushi, flying fish egg sushi were all very fresh. Now the lunch. Really good options from cooked items to rolls to sashimi. Everyone starts with miso soup. The tea that is served is Chinese not green tea and everyone gets a pot for the table. What was ordered: Orleans chicken bento box - basically teriyaki chicken Fried chicken bento box - basically katsu chicken The quality? It was okay. For 10 bucks you have to manage expectations. The bento boxes all come with an avocado rolls, cabbage salad and seaweed salad and rice of course. The fried chicken was really thin but crispy. The Orleans chicken was flavourful and served on top of the rice. The service was a bit slow. There was one guy cleaning and serving (ordering is done via QR code). When we arrived the place was full and there were 2 other groups ahead of us. We watched tables being cleaned and set up and we knew there was a table vacant but for some reason we were not seated until almost 5 minutes after the last group. I am wondering if this was to help the kitchen by staggering orders but it was maddening to stand there and watch knowing there was a table ready. Payment is cash or debit only.

We have a party 12, it's hard to get reservations for that large of a party on such short notice especially for a small restaurant like Hub Sushi. However every time we call they were able to set a table aside for us no issues. This time around was no exception. We do eat a bit earlier at 5 pm so there was plenty of seating. We arrived early and received our table. I check in on Yelp and was pleasantly surprised to get a 20% coupon discount on a special roll. I proceeded with to ask the server what rolls the discount applies to in the menu. The server said they have a new owner and not able to honour the discount. That's how I found out it was under new management. They do have a VIP service where you register online and they give you a free order of fried gyoza or edamame for each visit which they did honour. Thank goodness! However they no longer serve with ponzu sauce. The gyoza was served with the his sweet and sour sauce. Service was terrible. Maybe it was under new management and they were still getting use to the kitchen but our food came very staggered and took a while considering we were not the only ones in the whole restaurant. They mixed up my sister's order of a teriyaki chicken sushi roll, they gave her the teriyaki dinner. But when they corrected the order, her teriyaki chicken rolls came with a piece of hair on the roll. She lost her appetite after seeing the hair and tried to cancel the order. But the server said they can't cancel it and will remake the rolls with no hair. They did end up charging for her order.she didn't end up eating it when the order came and was worried they just picked off the hair. My daughters waited for over an hour for their spicy seafood udon noodle soup. To have the server come to us an hour later to tell us they can't make the spicy udon seafood noodle soup. I asked why she said they don't have seafood and I said how about chicken? They proceed to tell me they don't have the spicy broth either! So we switched to a stir fry chicken teriyaki udon. It came over cooked and the noodles and veggies were mushy and soggy. I gave them 3 stars since the steak teriyaki, ebi sushi and Sashimi was still good. It's too bad that we didn't have a good experience here and will probably not come back

Every dish is well catered, the fish is always fresh, the grilled dishes (beef ribs & garlic cube steak) are always cooked excellently, the fried items are delicious, and even the desserts (the ice cream with the chocolate sauce) are amazing too. I only wish that other big AYCE restaurants can learn from echo and stop wasting their money on iPads or robot cat servers and whatnot, but on their food. The service is always nice.
