Andrea is amazing! She is very professional and has a great eye for alterations. My wedding dress needed quite a bit of alterations, and Andrea and her team took their time and made sure everything was perfect by the time the dress made it back to me. She made me look and feel great in my wedding dress. There's no one else I would have trusted with such an important task! She also made me a beautiful veil. I would highly recommend August Veils to others.

We had a decent budget but we literally could cut it in 3 and still afford a beautiful dress here! My sister hates attention on her and can't make a decision easily. She gets very overwhelmed and most of the places we had a consultant breathing down our necks! Not here! We were able to try on 15 dresses in a hour. After a full day of shopping we went back to the shop and got a dress she fell in love with here. And on top of it all the dress was only 500$!!!! I could not believe it. We were looking between 2k and 3k but this dress was the one! I just got back from the wedding and this dress was a show stopper!

Came here hoping for a MIRACLE as my Wedding is 50 days away and a decision HAD to be made. I found a $400 used dress that fits great(minimal alterations) that I actually love more than my original. Having already spent thousands on my first dress, I really could not justify spending thousands more. I'm super happy and cannot wait to become a Mrs. In this beautiful gown.

Although we have only just begun our wedding planning journey, working with Nadine at A & Be Bridal…read morehas already been one of the most memorable and meaningful experiences of the process. She was an absolute 10 out of 10. What made Nadine so exceptional is her unique background as a former therapist. Rather than focusing solely on dress styles, silhouettes, or trends, she guided my daughter through the process by asking thoughtful, insightful questions about who she is as a person and how she wants to feel on her wedding day. Her approach brought so much clarity and meaning to the experience. Nadine was incredibly intentional in how she selected dresses for my daughter to try on. She explained her process along the way, using each dress as a point of comparison to help narrow down preferences and discover what truly resonated. Her method kept the experience from becoming overwhelming and helped simplify what can often feel like an endless sea of choices. Beyond her expertise, Nadine was simply wonderful to spend the morning with. She was calm, joyful, authentic, down-to-earth, and immediately put everyone at ease. She created a space that felt supportive, thoughtful, and fun. The way she weaves her therapeutic background into the art of bridal styling is a true gift. She helped my daughter connect not just with a dress, but with how she wants to show up and feel on a day that reflects who she is at her core. We left feeling grateful, understood, and excited. We are so thankful that Nadine shared her gift with us, and we cannot recommend her highly enough!

We were also able to customize the skirt with a split that I liked with another AK dress style. I brought it to bridal alterations and the fit is so good that I only need a bustle. The bridal tailor was very impressed and said this is rare, only 1-2% of dresses she sees. Very welcome news and I feel like a&bé and Lauren in particular deserve a special shout out for her excellent guidance and spot on accuracy. A big relief not to have to spend another hundreds or thousands on alterations.

The Monique L. boutique in Los Angeles only had certain styles available and for a hefty price tag of $650 each and the one that I wanted was discontinued. I then searched wedding websites galore to try and find used ones that might be for sale.....no luck! I eventually found Marina's wedding sash rental company. My prayers had been answered and I got to rent the exact Monique Lhuillier belt that I had been hunting for.....for a fraction of the cost! What a genius she is for creating a company of this sort. She also had belts and sashes from "Vera Wang" and other high end items like "Toni Federici" veils, "chanel" brooches and things of that nature. Everything that you could want to complete your couture look. She was very helpful in advising me what would go best with my dress and she also gives discounts for renting multiple items. I ended up wearing two different Monique Lhuillier belts....one for the ceremony and a different one for the reception. Marina was very easy to work with and made the whole process very simplistic.

All Marina's jewels, sashes and accessories are not only amazing to look at, but you're bound to find something you'll need for your wedding attire. Best something borrowed you'll ever find. Good Wedding Luck~ Happy Bride

Teri designed a $1700 pretty simple, silk dress for my wedding in September of 2015. Teri is very…read moregood at explaining how the architecture of a dress works, which is why I picked her over a boutique designer. She was never super friendly during our visits, even forgetting that we had an appointment once or twice. She was pretty cold when I brought my mom and mother in law in.. not very fun during a very exciting time. The most important thing... the dress never had much done to it whenever I had an appointment! She would literally start sowing on it when I'd come in and made very simple and sometimes careless details that I had to ask to have redone with more care. The worst thing, the day of picking up the dress, she was not done with it, finishing it in front of me. She DID NOT FINISH THE SEAMS UNDER MY DRESS. It was literally tattered seams underneath and I had a train, so if it flipped over, it was tattered shreds. She said this was normal, to preserve the soft look on the outside. I took it to two seamstresses afterward and no one said this was normal or acceptable. But we had no time to fix it before the wedding so I wore it anyway. During my wedding I felt self conscious and worried that my dress would show the tatters or would fall apart... as I had jeweled straps and the jewels were very lose. I had to donate my dress afterward because it was just falling apart... and they would only accept the dress because they could use the fabric to practice on lol, they couldn't even fix it to be worn again. Sorry ladies, don't let this happen to you. Get the dress and the experience you deserve, somewhere professional.

After trying on dresses at many stores in the Portland area, I never found something that was exactly what I was looking for. There were elements to several dresses that I loved but none of them combined into one. Here's where Terri at Embellish Design comes in. I decided that having my dress custom-made was the way to go. I contacted Terri and went to her studio in her house in NE Portland. Let's just say that the woman is AMAZINGLY talented. She went to Parsons School of Design in LA and her abilities are incredible. We sat down and discussed different dresses and styles, fabrics and details. She brought out fabric samples and talked about the pros and cons of each. The experience was incredibly fun...we built a dress that was exactly what I had wanted on all fronts (fabric, shape, detail). Her work was incredibly gorgeous AND the cost of the dress when all was said and done was cheaper than any of the dresses I had tried on in the shops. She also has a party dress business called Olivia Luca.
