While away for work a group of me and my colleagues went to get dinner. When I arrived I walked in and had to wait for my entire party to arrive. When they did we were sat in the back in a secluded area. Emily was our server and she was nice but the service, all in all, all in all was slow. I ordered the lemon drop martini and it was ok followed by old fashioned which was good. I ordered the chicken fajitas for dinner and they forgot the flour tortillas so had to wait on that. It took a while for the food to come out. When it finally did and I dug in, the meal was just ok. Some of the chicken was hard. Nothing special about the meal. This is the third time I have been here. It is located right outside the Arizona Grand Resort. I am traveling and had to stop here. The ambiance at night is awesome. It's all lit up and I love eating outside. The food is always amazing. This trip I was on a search for jalapeño margaritas and this place did not disappoint. We had a group of four tonight and was seated right away and they brought out our chips and salsa and we continued ordering sides of dips. It all tasted so very good. They have choices of three tacos on the menu which we all chose to get. I believe there were maybe 8 choices and we got almost all the options between us all. We did not care for the Mahi taco. It was a bit fishy and dry. Other than that our food was top notch. Lots of other options on the menu to try. We would definitely go back here. read more

Nice place and experience. Chips & Salsa were good and fresh The street corn appetizer was better than I expected it to be and would definitely recommend it! Carne Asada Chimichanga was a nice plate, and tasted amazing, the crema, guac, and pico were all delicious. The last thing we ordered were the churros! So good I forgot to take a pic and they come with caramel and chocolate dipping sauces. I will be back again with other friends and hoping to try other menu items. read more

BEWARE! They mix flour and corn tortillas in their bowls of chips! This is not mentioned when the chips are served, nor is it mentioned anywhere on the menu. If you are gluten sensitive or have a gluten allergy be advised that you could be easily poisoned. When we asked the server about the chips he just shrugged and said, we sprinkle flour tortillas among the corn. Initially, no apologies or accommodations were offered. It was only after we asked to speak to a manager that we were offered commercially made tortilla chips from a bag (instead of the contaminated ones they make in-house). Aunt Chilada's is conveniently located close to several hotels, with a direct path from the Arizona Grand Restort & Spa, and has of indoor & outdoor seating to also accommodate larger groups. Service is very friendly and fast. Be aware though - portions of most dishes are humongous! I ordered pork tacos which weren't quite as big, still couldn't finish it, and also would have loved a bit more finesse with toppings in the spirit of modern Mexican food. But when we recognized how hard the leadership is working and enjoyed our server Josh so much it washed any experience challenge away. The food is very good. The menu is rather limited. This allows them to focus on what they do well. First of all, they have great Pork Green Chile. It's hard to find. The Chimi was great. Street tacos are really good too. Margs don't disappoint. What a mess. This was a over 1.5 hour ordeal for us and we still have not gotten our food so decided to just leave because it wasn't getting any better. This place is attached to the resort and it is a disaster manage expectations food may be fine but service and experience is a total cluster. Ok, so here's what happened ... No exaggeration. We walked in on a Thursday evening. There was a conference at the Arizona Grand and so they were busier than normal. Not a problem. We were told that we'd have to wait like 30-35 mins for a table. No problem. After 50 minutes, still not a problem, the hostess says, "Our kitchen is backed up so anything you order will be an hour and a half." Now we have a problem. Honestly, she could have told us this ... oh I don't know several minutes before. So, we left and went to The Craftsman in Tempe. Great place!! So, go there instead. read more

The atmosphere is fun! Love the views and the walk from the resort was beautiful. Love the chips mix with the flour tortilla, and the salsa was great! Margarita was perfect, not too sweet like most. Order was mixed up and they made good on it with a complimentary mole ice cream with churros. More on that later! The refried beans were delicious, no shredded beef available which was strange for a Mexican restaurant, so we ordered the carne asada, which was overcooked and tough. Fajitas were decent, we had chicken and carne mixed. The Christmas enchilada was ok, red sauce was better than green. Overall, it was overpriced for not great food. That being said, the service by Isaiah was personable and warming! He was friendly, attentive and seemed to love his job and the menu! Now back to the dessert. If you like cinnamon, you will love it! Awesome Street Tacos! The "It's Tot Time" and "The Pork Show" versions are a delicious and clever innovation. I also had the LALO tequila margarita with mango, which was fabulous. We got there early in the evening just before the dinner rush. Service was fine, ambiance was fine. We received out chips and salsa, the salsa tasted like it was out of a jar. I ordered the taquito plate. The food LOOKED great, however, the beans tasted like Rosarita canned beans, the rice was over cooked, not fluffly and light. The carne asada taquitos were over-fried, the meat inside was too hard and the tortilla was chewy not crunchy. I would never recommend this place to a friend and I would never go back. I rolled up here solo as this was on my radar from an IG Reel post about the food. It was Friday, July 21st, 2023, at 630pm. I honestly don't know why I thought the dinner rush was the prime time to visit. Regardless, I was able to muscle my way through the sea of patrons at the bar which had open seating. I was greeted immediately by a bartender with a beer and menu. Then a different bartender had chips and salsa, yet a third bartender ordered my Tres Enchiladas de Harina. This place was popping! Standing Room Only in the bar, the wait for a table was 20 - 30 minutes I'm sure. The conversation competed with the music overhead. The ambiance was lively and loud. By the time I was halfway drank my beer, and only 1/4 into my chips and salsa ... my food was delivered! Crazy fast on a busy night. I was hangry so I devoured it with a smile. I ordered the red sauce chimichanga w carnitas, it was not saucy or cheesy, it's as if the sauce and cheese were microwaved too long, it was extremely dry on top, and the rice did not taste good at all. Absolute worst experience. Waited at the bar while we were waiting to be seated, for a drink. Bartender skipped over us time and time again. Eventually one patron got loud. Bartender put that patron's drink on my tab. I'm ok with it because he actually got us service after TWENTY FIVE MINUTES of being IGNORED. We get seated, well, as I write this, we have been seated for more than an hour, with kids, and still do not have our food. It's not just us, it's every table around us. They do have a private party but apparently that's who gets all the service. I will NEVER come here again. This is completely ridiculous. my husband and I haven't been to aunt Chilada's in quite a few months but we're looking forward to an amazing meal as always. We were totally disappointed with the quality of the food and the service. The menu had gotten smaller since we last went there and the prices skyrocketed! my husband had a bland burrito with nothing inside but chopped up chicken that seemed like it had just been defrosted from the freezer. the queso dip had no flavor and my fajitas had very little chicken for 27.00.
