We've been there at least three times and we love it! There are multiple protein choices and I love the barbacoa and pastor, the char of meat is perfect. We can also choose corn or flour tortilla, I like both but especially flour one. We also added fajita and it was also great. The salsa station was clean and various of options. The service was also good.

Loved this place! We went earlish on a weekday which was nice because it wasnt too busy. They have a small parking lot with which we got lucky with. It was really easy to order, we just walked up and they called me with my order a few minutes later. I loaded my carne asada with flour tortilla tacos up at the salsa bar and they were truly 10/10. The red salsa had good spice and their green salsa had a nice tang. Flour tortillas were soft, carne asada was perfectly cooked. Would recommend if you're in the area.

Big fan of this place! I was walking around Tempe, looking for a quick bite and happened upon this spot. They do counter service, so it's pretty relaxed. The tacos themselves are bare bones, but the toppings bar is where it's at! Considering it's a chill and inexpensive restaurant, the quality (meat and tortillas) was above expectations. I'd happily grab tacos from here again!

A great taco place to try in downtown Tempe! The interior has a counter to order from, lots of stools and tables, and multiple TVs. They also have a salsa and topping bar. There's almost as much outside seating as there is inside, with great views of the street. I ordered an Al pastor burrito with beans and cheese which was $11. It came out super fast! The tortilla was great, the meat was neon red but so good, and the beans were so rich. An excellent easy meal!

Im from Texas and these tacos were some of the best ive had in a minute. Vibes were immaculate, blasting peso pluma, of course the tacos were gonna come out absolutely delicious. When I come back to Phoenix, I will go out of my way to find this place again. P.S. get the barbacoa, you won't regret it.

Coming from Hawaii and the lack of quality tacos...this was heaven. We couldnt decide what to order so they gave us a little sample of each meat to try. When we brought the food back to our hotel, the others were on the patio drinking and couldnt stop salivating. Will be back next time when we are in Phoenix.

10/10! This will be one of the reasons I return to Pheonix alone. I made the mistake of order just two tacos at first because it was my first time. Not pictured here are the two I ordered to go. The service is quick and the team was kind. It's one of those spots that invites you to stay a while. There's music playing, a game on, indoor and outdoor seating. Safe to say I'll be back!

This is the best spot for a delicious and affordable taco Tuesday! The insides are not ideal to accommodate rushes, especially if you're there during peak lunch hours. We came at noon on a Tuesday and it was SO busy. Hardly anywhere to stand & look at the menu, nowhere to stand and wait for your food. Things are far less hectic once lunch dies down. I ordered the 4/$11 taco Tuesday special. 4 tacos (any meats and any tortillas) + 1 medium drink for $11! I was so surprised by the amount of meat they put on each taco. They were loaded! I also paid about $4 for the container of chips, and grabbed salsa at their complimentary salsa bar. They had cabbage, cilantro + onion mix, pico de gallo, cucumbers, pickled onion, green salsa and spicy red salsa, guacamole sauce, limes, and probably more that I'm forgetting! It was stocked to the brim with enough plastic containers to go around. My only complaint is that they lost my ticket. My friends got their food (I ordered literally at the exact same time as them, BEFORE one of them actually) and we all got the 4/11. I waited about ~10 minutes longer than they did because we discovered they lost my ticket & order somehow. They slap the tickets up in a conveyer line, but I did see some on the ground. Not sure how to prevent that from happening again. The workers were super kind and friendly, and quick on their feet! I 100% would come back here for another taco Tuesday deal, just maybe around 2pm this time to avoid the rush!

First time at this location. It's small and parking can be tough. We purchased the special and it's enough food for one. As usual Taco Boys do a wonderful job on their flavoring. The staff are moving. When they call your name, they're ready for you. It's somewhat noisy and busy. But the food is great.

My fiance has been raving about Taco Boys since he stumbled across it during a work trip last year. So when we were in town for his birthday we decided to have lunch so I could try it out. It's located amongst other businesses in the Tempe core, unfortunately parking is all paid but there are a lot of lots and street parking to choose from. They offer indoor and patio seating, including seating at the bar outside, which is what we opted for as it was a nice day. You order inside and the food is up within a minute. My big problem with Taco Boys is they don't offer any seafood or vegetarian options, everything is meat based. I'm pescatarian but I decided to try the pollo as my fiance was raving about it and there were no other options. He ordered two pollo and two al pastor. The tacos come out with just the meat on either flour or corn tortillas. However, they have a bar with salsas, pico, onions, limes, lettuce and other toppings you can add to your taco, which I really appreciated. I loaded my taco up with lots of the salsa and fresh ingredients from the bar, so honestly one taco filled me up. The chicken had a good, grilled flavor and the tortillas appeared to be homemade (not sure). I can definitely see why this is a popular spot for carnivores, but I think they are isolating a big population of potential customers by only offering meat options.

excellent, authentic, and affordable place near ASU. there's a self-serve toppings bar and everything is fresh. the meat were all tender and seasoned well. I got the pastor, pollo, barbacoa tacos ($3.79 each) fajita style -- highly recommend fajita style (+$0.49 each) as the bell peppers and onions elevated the tacos!

popped in after a walk around tempe town lake - they have a great taco tuesday deal $12 for 4 tacos + a drink but i didn't take advantage. they have a little toppings bar as well to dress up the tacos. nice patio & bar area. tacos were pretty good! my friend got the quesadilla that looked AMAZING

The service is order at the counter and then they call you when the food is ready. The music was so loud I had the ask the cashier guy to repeat what he said several times. He also got the order partially wrong. I asked for five pastor tacos on corn and one asada on flour and the asada fajita style. I got three pastor tacos fajita style and one asada plain. Sadly I asked about my other pastor taco that was missing and he said he did not charge me for it and I order another before tasting the ones I had. While the pastor looked really good even though it was not of the spit it had very little flavor to it. Sadly pastor is my favorite and I would not get it there again. The asada was on the other hand very flavorful and tasty. Probably because it's mesquite grilled. I would go back for that but I probably wouldn't drive 10 miles again to get them since there are closer taco shops with good asada and better pastor. They have a very large selection of beers on tap in their "tap room " and the taps take up a whole wall. Also the parking situation is a hassle because they share the lot with several other restaurants and a Dutch Bros. My wrap up. Good, not great. Go for the asada and beer. Get a ride and don't drink and drive.

Sometimes the best meals happen because your original plan falls through. That was exactly the case…read morehere, and honestly... I'm not even a little mad about it. I ordered the veggie tacos with roasted sweet potatoes (skin on, which was absolutely the right call), pepitas, feta, and all the right toppings. Whoever prepped those sweet potatoes deserves a raise because they were cut into the perfect sized pieces. Every bite had a little sweetness, a little crunch, a little saltiness... it just worked. My dining partner ordered the barbacoa tacos, and I didn't even have to ask if they were good. The involuntary "Mmm..." after the first bite answered that question. Four tacos disappeared in record time, followed by, "I could've eaten two more." That's about as glowing of a review as you're going to get. Now let's talk about these tortillas. Handmade. Corn. Tortillas. Are you kidding me? They're the kind of tortillas that had me question every tortilla I've ever eaten. Soft, fresh, and somehow they manage to steal the spotlight even with everything else on the plate being so good. The chips and guacamole were excellent, too. The chips have to be made in-house and they disappeared at an alarming rate. The salsa that came with them had this smoky, fire-roasted, chipotle flavor that kept me reaching for another chip... and then another... and then suddenly I realized I'd eaten way more chips than I intended. The bottled table salsas deserve their own paragraph because they completely confused me... in the best way. They bring three to the table... a green, a red, and a darker red. I kept tasting them individually thinking, "Okay, these are alright." Then I started mixing them. Game over. On their own, each one was solid. Mixed together? That was the magic. I don't know if that's what they intended or if I accidentally stumbled onto the perfect combination, but from that point on, every taco got the salsa trio treatment. The only tiny hiccup was when we first walked in. We were greeted, asked if we wanted menus, and sat ourselves. We waited for a bit thinking someone would come take our order, only to realize it's actually counter service. Once we figured that out, everything was smooth sailing. Not a big deal at all... just something first-time visitors might want to know. Follow the sign "order here" I also loved the layout. You can actually watch them making the food, which somehow makes the wait even harder because everything smells incredible. Two tacos ended up being the perfect light meal for me. Could I have eaten ten? Absolutely. Those two statements can both be true. Meanwhile, my dining partner polished off four barbacoa tacos and was talking about ordering two more. We only ended up here because another place happened to be closed, and honestly, I'm glad it worked out that way. This ended up being one of those meals we keep talked about on the drive home. Oh and the bathrooms?. I walked in and immediately thought, "Whoa... this is a cool bathroom" The lighting had this pinkish-purple glow that made me feel like I'd accidentally wandered into a trendy lounge instead of a taco shop. I honestly wasn't even sure there was regular lighting in there and I didn't look... because the vibe seemed so intentional. Finally, the music. .. upbeat, dance-worthy, the kind that had me bouncing in my seat while waiting for my food. Between the atmosphere, the lighting, and the music, the whole place had me want to hang out a little longer. Zero regrets. I'll absolutely be back... and next time I'm ordering more tacos.

My disappointment seems to be this last year with the sushi just hasn't been the best or fresh tasting. The Las Vegas roll was always nice and warm but with an awesome cold center and fried to perfection and the sauce just right. Lately it's been the opposite. Super over fried were all you can taste is old burnt oil and it dried out and the sauce just bland and not helping at all. The other thing that bothers us is the lack of wasabi they give! They said they would see what they could do. After waiting at the bar another 15 minutes with our drinks, they found seating for us. Still, the restaurant is practically empty and even emptier throughout the evening. Perplexed and feeling a bit weird, but we were hungry and stayed. The server took a while to get to us as she was busy socializing with another server sitting down having a bite to eat. When she finally came over, I ordered the PLATO DE BARBACOA $38 agave smoked short rib, pickled onions, salsas, cilantro, corn tortillas. This was delicious and super tasty. The description states shareable but only enough for one person. My husband ordered the carne asada tacos* $ 18 -black angus flank steak, cilantro, onion, housemade flour tortilla. He said they were good. Our friend ordered the HALF CHICKEN $ 32 - boneless heirloom chicken, citrus cured, mole negro, arroz rojo. I'm not sure where the half chicken went but this couldn't have been more than 4oz of chicken. It was dry, no flavor and the bean & rice were terrible. terrible. I can't believe it was $32 for what he received. Our other friend ordered the GRILLED SEA BASS $27. Mediterranean branzino, mole blanco, blistered peas. She said it was okay. Cooked well but not much flavor. I was really looking forward to checking out the Glenrosa but my first experience and opinion of the Glenrosa was just not great. Service and food very mediocre. Except the short rib. That was delicious.
