Every time we vacation in PC, Auntie Em's is a must stop. We first found Emily at the farmers market and followed her to her storefront. We dont visit PC often but over the years, Emily still remembers me and my wife! The pies here are phenomenal! Pick any one and you'll be happy. Cookies, scones, savory and sweet pies. There should be Michelin star or two hanging on the wall. Today, We picked up a chicken pie and a couple slices of pie for dessert. We really liked this place! It's kinda small and tucked away. We tried their cookies, their apple and strawberry rhubarb pies, and their banana bread. It was all super tasty! Not sure I could identify my favorite but was impressed with the breads and pies in particular. We're suckers for the chocolate chip cookies and it didn't disappoint. The service was great. We have followed Emily and her baking for many years and are now so grateful for her permanent location. Anything and everything we have from this shop is simply the best. This is our "go to" place for scones, cookies, banana bread, pies, etc. and the meat and savory pies are solid bets for any meal. We ordered a couple pies here, one was the chicken pot pie, another a fruit pie (I'll be honest, I forget what it was at this point). Overall, their pies were delicious and very well executed. While the chicken pot pie was solid, it wasn't quite as mind blowing as some reviews led me to believe. I do wonder if some of this had to do with cooking at altitude (we did the take and bake option since we had access to an oven and wanted to try a fresh pie). While it wasn't mind blowing, it was overall delicious. Both pies were reasonably sized and I felt well portioned with ingredients. More specifically, I appreciate they did not skimp on ingredients, and I like that they used what seemed like high quality ingredients. We stopped in Friday afternoon for some cinnamon rolls. They were so delicious! I love that they're made from sourdough. Just enough cinnamon gooeyness and a flavorful cream cheese frosting! Stopped here on our way home after a great vacation in PC. Very unwelcoming and unfriendly vibe. The lady behind the counter could not have been less interested in taking our order and seemed annoyed that we threw our coffee cups in their trash, which is odd. The bacon scone was served cold, overly crumbly and way too herb-forward. The cinnamon rolls were fine, but nothing amazing and certainly nothing to wait around for until 10am when they open (what bakery opens at 10am??). Unbelievable pies and friendly staff/service! The saucy apple is delicious, but words cannot describe how insanely good the vanilla bean sugar pie is. I bought a cookie from them at the Park City Farmers Market. The girl working the booth was really nice and friendly. I just got a sugar cookie, but the man in front of me got like 10 slices of pie (apparently I needed to get one). The sugar cookie was really good! I would say it's similar to a homemade cookie. It was fresh and not too much. I'm glad it didn't have any frosting behaves then it would too sweet. The center was nice and soft and chewy. Auntie Em's is serving up amazing desserts. My husband and I grabbed a slice of peach pie from her stand at Park Silly and loved it. I'm not a pie crust person and this was a delicious and perfectly textured crust. The fresh fruit spoke for itself. Auntie Em's cookies are also sold at one of the markets on main street. We had a third left over and the next morning, I had it for breakfast. It was so good hot and somehow better cold the day after. This great little place can be a bit tricky to find, until you realize that it is right inside the Kimball Art Center. We placed our order online (highly recommended) and were glad that we had because the varieties remaining were very limited by the time we arrived at 12:30pm. We ordered the Triple Berry Crumble pie and the Cherry pie. They are pricey at $30 each, but very generous in size and fillings. Each pie will feed 8 people with very nice deep slices. We took the first to share with friends for a dinner together, and we kept the other for ourselves. The first pie we ate at room temperature with ice cream and bourbon whipped cream. The crumble topping was outstanding. The berries were spiced with a very subtle and appealing flavor. The pastry was good, but a little hard around the edges. The second pie we cut into slices and wrapped the edges with foil to hold in the cherries. We then heated it in a 325F oven for 25 minutes and served with cream. This pie was absolutely amazing! The pastry was crispy and flaky, even after 2 days in the fridge. The filling was tart and just sweet enough, with lovely gentle spices. The edge of the pie was a crunchy treat. With the cream, it was a heavenly dessert. We love pie, and we will definitely go back. Next on my list is the Chicken Herb pie, which looks amazing - stuffed with lots of meat and topped with sesame seeds. read more
