It turned out to be a bereavement gift from my employer. Inside, I found a box of cookies from Insomnia. The cookies are the soft and chewy variety. There were 4 types, including sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies with M&Ms and white chocolate macadamia cookies. Enjoyed all of the cookies that I tried here. I did find it interesting that they were mailed from Massachusetts, given this is a franchise with locations in many cities, including in Seattle. At least now I know what I can expect if I encounter an Insomnia Cookies storefront.

It edges out my longtime favorite that's just three minutes away, simply because I prefer a creamier style of ice cream. We ordered the kiddie size and it was still surprisingly generous. Free sprinkles were a nice bonus too. The little shop inside is really cute. They sell jams, cheeses, mushrooms, breads, ice cream, and a bunch of other local products so it's worth taking a few minutes to browse.
