Live music, a food trailer, yard games... am I in Austin, just with a much better mountain backdrop? Seriously, this place is awesome. People are happy, the animals are happy, the kids are happy. But what about the ice cream? Well, this time I actually came to judge that, and the verdict is... it's the best ice cream in the area! I had the Purple Cow, black raspberry ice cream with white and dark chocolate chips, and it was so good. The ice cream here is definitely on the creamier side, which is exactly how I like it. It edges out my longtime favorite that's just three minutes away, simply because I prefer a creamier style of ice cream. My wife prefers a less creamy texture so whether you like this place or the other place up the road more really comes down to personal preference. We ordered the kiddie size and it was still surprisingly generous. Free sprinkles were a nice bonus too. The little shop inside is really cute. They sell jams, cheeses, mushrooms, breads, ice cream, and a bunch of other local products so it's worth taking a few minutes to browse. Overall, an awesome atmosphere, excellent ice cream, and a place I'd happily return to every time I'm in the area. read more

My food reviews never really are about service because service doesn't make the food but the service here was great. Friendly staff and helpful. You could make this a date spot with all they got going on. Smell is bad but at this point I wouldn't eat ice cream at a spot where I can't smell the animals because it's the best damn Ice cream I've had and I live in New York and tried the best of the best. Staff was super friendly and scoops were quite generous. The ice cream tasted fresh, creamy and a bit dense which is how I prefer it. There's a little store there as well that sells pints for very reasonable prices , 2 pints for $8. They will give you ice packs if you're traveling. I love the various seating spots and lawn games available as well as the music and other events they put on like yoga with the farm animals! My new favorite ice cream in the area! I love maple walnut ice cream and this one actually tasted like maple and the walnut pieces were not too big. My husband enjoyed his ice cream, too. The waffle cones were fresh. Two waffle cones with a few healthy scoops each were $11, which is very fair pricing. We got the daily special flavored soft serves, one peach and one sweet corn. Very disappointed in each. Neither had much flavor at all, and pretty sure the corn was just frozen kernels mixed in -- if not, it was some icy soft serve. Presumably the regular ice cream would be better, and the setting is fun. But this is perhaps the first time in my life that I threw away a half eaten ice cream cone! read more

What a wonderful local business here in the valley! This morning they hosted yoga with the cows lead by a humerus and skilled yogi, Aaron. The cows, corn, hills and sun provided the venue. Easily the best ice cream experience in the area. My kids absolutely love going here. Ever since they added more animals, live music, food trucks, a bigger farm store, this place no longer has real competition. As a country boy, I appreciate that this is a real farm (fresh dairy air and all). The views of the Holyoke range and access to the bike trail is A+. Ice cream in a cone is meant to be enjoyed outside... and there's no better place around. I'm still waiting to see my name on the board for free ice cream... I'll keep watching :). read more

Love this place! Ice cream is fantastic, the best moose tracks I've ever had, and portions are generous and reasonably priced. Without a doubt THE BEST ice cream I've ever had. We drove over 2 hours to try the ice cream and it was 100% worth it. We will be back again as soon as we can. The lemon blueberry cheesecake ice cream was delicious and creamy, my son loved his vanilla cone, my other son loved his vanilla shake and, lastly, my husband liked this root beer float but wished there was more ice cream in it.
