After a too-long COVID hiatus, we were thrilled to celebrate Auntie Viv's return to the shave ice circuit at the Dublin St. Patrick's Day festival. Using homemade natural syrups and old-school Hawaiian shave ice techniques and equipment, you can be sure that the ice is pillowy and soft, the syrups are colorful and full of flavor, and the add-ins are authentic. Viv has continued to provide her furikake snack mix during the holiday season, and it has made me MANY friends with coworkers who received a bag (quick tip to ingratiate your boss to you - give them this mix). I'm so excited that Viv is scheduled to participate in our end-of-school school event/fundraiser!

We hired Auntie Viv's to cater shave ice to our Hawaiian themed birthday party and she absolutely knocked it out of the park. The shave ice was incredible, and our guests were so impressed with the professional setup. Communicating with Vivian is a breeze and so easy to work with. I absolutely recommend you work with this business or eat their yummy shave ice!!

Auntie Viv's was catered at my sister in law's high school graduation and it was an amazing addition to a celebration environment. Not only was the shaved ice DELICIOUS and FRESH, not too sugary or full of artificial tasting syrups, but Viv and her staff were amazing. They were professional and their set up was beautiful. I was thrilled to see them again at the St. Patty's Day festival, we didn't mind waiting in line for it either!

I first met Auntie Viv and her husband Uncle Bill about a year ago at a friend's party where they were catering. At that time, they were just starting their business and were trying to figure out how to market it. We talked at length and I gave them a couple suggestions about using Yelp as a marketing tool. I also wrote a review here soon after. Fast forward to today. I got an e-mail from one of my co-workers about a package addressed to me that's sitting in the mailroom. I was surprised since I wasn't expecting any packages. The thought of calling the bomb squad crossed my mind, given all the suspicious packages we have been seeing on the news lately. Okay, just kidding. No actual Harvey was harmed during this encounter! XD The package turned out to be from Auntie Viv! It was a large bag of her artisan furikake snack mix and a big fridge magnet. In her note to me, she credited me for their success. I was taken aback by her thoughtfulness. Honestly, what I did had very little to do with their success. Her genuine personality, quality products, and superior service are the main keys to their popularity. As I'm writing this, I am still in awe by her kind and thoughtful gesture. Auntie Viv, Mahalo for your gift! I truly appreciate it. :-)

Prepare to become addicted! Whether it's the shave ice, snack mix, or furikake seasoning, you'll be hooked. I use the furikake on EVERYTHING. Auntie Viv herself is so sweet and wonderful. Can't recommend enough!

She sells shave ice in the summer time. Can't wait!

SUMMARY: Met Vivian, the sweetest lady you'll ever meet at a pop up show outside of Cali Craft a few weekends back. We got her Furikake Cracker Mix. So delicious! FURIKAKE CRACKER MIX (5/5) I'm probably spelling it incorrectly but it's a type of fried, seasoned topping for rice. Viv uses it to season Japanese style rice cracker mix. Holy goodness, this stuff was attic five. I tried not to sample it at her stand, but her charming personality convinced me like a Jedi mind trick. Sorry no pics of the packaging or the crackers, but trust me it was pretty darn good. Highly recommend you at least sample, but gotta warn you that you'll buy a bag or two!

My family had the pleasure of having auntie Viv's shave ice at the 2023 Dublin St. Patrick's Day festival. It was one of the first booths that caught my attention and I'm so glad I stopped! The service was wonderful quick and we received everything we ordered perfectly, auntie Viv herself was at the window and knew how to put a smile on everyone's faces! The weather wasn't typical shave ice weather but my kids and I wanted to go back for seconds and thirds! I am so glad she's back and can't wait to have another one soon

Got the chance to taste Auntie Viv's goodies and all I can say is amazing! First off, all the syrups that they use for the shaved ice is all homemade and made with real ingredients. I love matcha, so I was STOKED to find out that she has a matcha flavor available and it is amazing! She also makes fresh mochi as a topping for the shaved ice. Her mochi is so divine, it reminds me of what my grandmother used to make for me as a child, so I applaud Aunt Viv for delivering amazing mochi. Auntie Viv has some of the best shaved ice BUT honestly, the show stopper is her Furikake Mix! This is TO DIEEEE FOR! It has a nickname of Crack Mix, and honestly it is. Every time I see Auntie Viv's stand, it is always a must to get her Furikake Mix, and honestly she is a saint, because now you can order the mix online and they can ship it to you! The mix itself is sweet, salty goodness consisting of chex mix, pretzels, honeycombs, etc. It is soo worth it so definitely give it a try.

I found Auntie Viv's Shave Ice at the Wednesday Santana Row Farmer's Market and fell head over heals. The minimal time I've spent in Hawaii was full of mostly me shave ice hopping around Honolulu in between meals and beach time and it.was.glorious. Auntie Viv's took me right back. I ordered the small size for $6 (which still looked massive) and chose the mango, guava, and passionfruit flavors and was mighty happy with my decision, though next time I think I'll probably just go for mango and passionfruit because I like the stronger, zippier flavors. The woman working the front of the tent was so so so sweet and everyone working inside looked full of love and like they were having a great time, even though I was the only one at their booth at the time. My shave ice came up pretty quickly and a really nice man handed it to me and said that if I wanted more syrup to just let him know. And I know it sounds like just good customer service but he was so warm and said it so thoughtfully that I wanted them to adopt me and then I could just move into their booth and I dunno. Feel loved and eat shave ice, I guess. Which is really all we can hope for in life. Anyway... my order was beyond outstanding. I walked back to my car and two people stopped me to tell me how they liked my 'look' and one was a supremely fashionable woman so I know I was looking fly AF and I can't help but give at least half credit to the massive shave ice order I was basking in.

Had the pleasure of enjoying some true, authentic hawaiian style shave ice by Auntie Viv's at the St Patrick's Day festival in Dublin. What a treat it was! I've always been a fan of shaved ice but at most all places here on the mainland, the ice is rough shaved and the syrups are sugary and artificial tasting. Not the case with Auntie Viv's! Their ice is so fluffy soft and just melts in your mouth! And the syrups? Just as refreshing as actual fresh fruit! Really brings you back to the islands. Just thinking about it is making me drool! Wish I could have another with all the fixins! Looking forward to seeing them around at future events, especially during the summer. Until then I might have to plan my next trip to Hawaii soon!
