The service style is that you order from a screen where you get to customize your bowl and there are a few people there to help if needed. I got the mango bingsoo. I've been going to Snow Bowl when it was MandRo Teahouse and when it was only one store in Fremont so when my friends invited us for shaved ice I was pleasantly surprised it's a new branch in the Tri Valley area. Nothing more to talk about as it's my favorite place for shaved ice whenever I have a chance in the East Bay. They changed their name which is smart because it's the shaved ice that sets them apart not the tea. Even though it's using Bingsoo (which is Korean shaved ice) I'm fairly certain it's actually Chinese but who cares when it tastes good. The plaza is big but it's right next to the McDonald's if you have a hard time finding it. Seating is somewhat limited and I think for shaved ice it's better to eat there rather than taking it to go. Service is good enough even if it's usually just one person. Tip is optional which is good. You order through a kiosk. Not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive I've had! They have the classics (strawberry, mango, injeolmi) and even drinks. Saw a few people order just their drinks, so I definitely have to try that out next time. My friend and I got their regular strawberry bingsoo, which came out to $14.40 due to tax. It came with a side of condensed milk and two pieces of mochi. You can also add more toppings at extra charges from $2-$3. Their shaved ice is creamy and flavorful. The strawberries are thinly sliced and I got to have one with each bite. A little gluttonous of me, but I wish there was more mochi or it was cut up more small to have a piece with each bite LOL. I got the mango bingsoo, my wife and son went with the strawberry, and my older son chose chocolate,so we basically covered the full dessert spectrum. First off,everything was really good. Light, fluffy shaved ice, tons of flavor, and not overly heavy like you'd expect. The mango was super refreshing, strawberry was a hit, and the chocolate one didn't stand a chance, it was gone in minutes. Now... I did add extra condensed milk (because why not live a little), which in hindsight may have been a bold decision considering my lactose intolerance. Let's just say... the bingsoo kept giving long after we left. Could be a coincidence, could be from something else--but there were some serious after-effects later that night. Would I get it again?
