I was there on August 6th. The staff member checking the ID totally bend my ID and cracked it. Then he even asked for another card with my name! I understand it's protocol to make sure it's a valid ID, but come on! Cracking my ID was unprofessional! The only reason why I didn't ask to speak to a manger was because I am renewing my ID next week and I didn't want to make an unpleasant evening for my friends. Once club was over, this white guy which was a staff member was running up and down the stairs tasing the air. Then he got into an intense argument with a young black woman. As a staff member or a "want to be security" you are there to calm any situation. Arguing with drunk people is by far the dumbest thing an employee can do. It was unpleasant to see and hopefully management can pay attention to the publics feedback. I liked this club but I'm not sure if I want to give it another chance. read more

i really enjoyed my experience here! the place is very large and comfortable, the bar stools are really nice, the staff is super friendly, and i have to say- the food is really good! we shared the Bavarian pretzels and i had some of the fried shrimp. both were tasty! the drinks were also well priced (unlike sevilla's who totally gouge you!). overall, i really like this place. considering i think i'm a bit too old for the club atmosphere, this was more comfortable than i expected! i'll be back! read more

It is a really nice place.Really nice awesome atmosphere. The security when checking IDs and purses tend to get a little too serious but for the nice place that it is, I understand that. The drink specials are awesome and it's a good place to hear live music as well as a DJ on occasional nights. The drinks are made pretty strong which is a plus however the bartenders need to take a course in customer service. One of the bartenders yelled at me because he could not hear over the loud music my request for my debit card back. This place was pretty cool. Came out from Orange County to watch Richard Vission and Bad Boy Bill on a saturday night. Mixed drinks - great price and they put enough alcohol in them. The place is pretty big, the layout is good. We found parking a block behind the building on Lemon Street, it's street parking (you pay only if it's a weekday). Price is to get in is awesome. I do not fault the bartenders on this. This bar kicked me out for getting sick in the bathroom. Never mind that I have the stomach flu and tried push through this visit for Valentine's Day, they'll throw you out for any reason, even if they don't make enough to be open every day at a reasonable time. Not a riverside local, but wow, didn't realize this place was so sexist! Was having a good time to start, girls were dancing on the main stage, when all of a sudden, my gay male friend wanted to get up on stage too. I usually love coming to this place and having a good time but last night was a bit upsetting. My friend and I go up to the bar, I ask if they accept Apple Pay, which they say no, fair enough, my friend jumps in and says he's got it and will pay for my drink with cash instead. He underestimates how much he actually has so we leave the tequila sunrise at the bar. The bartender physically pulls it back and of course we're not offended, it's part of her job. We weren't able to get cash out because we both didn't have our cards on us so we told her we wouldn't take it. 5 mins later on the dance floor, TWO bouncers pulled my friend outside and told him he was getting kicked out for "stealing" a drink. I'm not sure if the bartender lied or what exactly happened but y'all have access to your security cameras, that was really out of line and uncalled for. He had just bought our drinks prior to having to leave that drink behind so I'm genuinely at a loss for words. read more

i am an avid supporter of AV, i lived in the area and LOVE coming w friends, but after tonight i will not be back. i came tonight w some friends, wearing a durag. i have come in a durag before. tonight security took my durag from me, and said they "had to take durags and bandanas" but didn't take my friends head scarf. and i didn't put up a fight bc i know that this is just a policy that they have to enforce-- i've worked in customer service for YEARS so i know what it's like to enforce policies that aren't personally yours! but when i tried to get manager information at the end of my night the security guard walked away from me-- i'm just trying to understand this policy bc it FEELS extremely racist!!! i didn't cuss anyone out, i wasn't rude or disrespectful, i made sure of that! and still no one could provide me w an explanation and actually showed me they don't care at ALL about what this feels like for Black people or Black women which is extremely rude and messed up!! until i can get this figured out i won't be back. read more

I just have to mention this... ever since posting this their employees are harassing me on here and social media being extremely rude (I have proof) Let's leave this in the hands of the big boys; the BBB. Absolutely horrible establishment. They have no idea in regards to customer loyalty as business owners. I have been going to pixels since back when they first opened and started going to aura vista once they opened that establishment. They did not let my fiancé and I in because I was wearing an "Adidas jumpsuit". I saw the owner and approached her immediately very kindly about not being let in and she said "yes, you cannot wear this attire tonight" ...what does "tonight" mean? I've worn the same exact outfit matching with my fiancé and have been let in before; Talk about racism especially in today's epidemic ...I will make sure to tell everybody that I know not to come here anymore. You cannot screen individuals and discriminate who is walking into an establishment. That in itself is called racist/ bias. (Just so individuals are aware I am a Sicilian/ Russian woman whom this situation occurred to) Off-topic and irrelevant to what just happened to my fiancé and I; however, has anyone ever seen a Hispanic or African American bartender at either of their establishments (not that they own aura vista because as a business owner myself I KNOW FOR FACT they do not own that location) ... kind of feeling racist vibes now that I think about it. Get some REAL money and actually own your property. I OWN everything MY establishment run out of. HATER. Do not come here at all. Honestly I've never had a problem with this place until last weekend. I came her with my fiancé and his two cousins. We got there a little early and where able to get a table in the front. We started out sitting and having a few drinks. Once the music got better and people started dancing we all decided to stand up and dance too. Our drinks and jackets were all on the table and out of the corner of my eye this guy who was with his two girlfriends put his gum on our table next to all our stuff...no napkin no gum wrapper just his nasty gum. I looked at my fiancé like "did that really just happen?! How nasty can you be?!" So I taped the guy on his shoulder and asked him to take his gum off the table that we are clearly sitting here. The girls he was with were staring me down but I really dont care...clearly he was guilty because he grabbed it right off the table. So I thought that was the end of it so we kept dancing. Next thing you know the guy gets tired of holding HIS gum and throws it right by our feet...either you're lazy af or you're just gross. At that point take responsibility for your shit..we all know it's yours. So once that happened I kicked his gum back and all of a sudden the 3 of them want to get all tough over something that's theirs lol....grow up people and learn to throw your stuff away! Especially your gum! So when they started yelling at us for kicking HIS gum back we told the guy sweeping the floor to come pick it up since they were to lazy. Why be so strict at the door and take peoples gum packs away but when it's right in your face the bouncers do nothing? Double standard!! read more

Horrible place!!! Went here Saturday night and the bouncer slammed the bathroom door on my cousin who is a girl and instead of taking responsibility for his action decided to kick us out. I've been here a couple of times mainly for the music they play downstairs on Friday nights. However, the last friday i went was such a bad experience i had to make a yelp account just to share it. To start with, the staff is so damn rude. My friend was holding a water bottle while in line(we weren't even close to the door yet) and one of the staff members snatched it from her hand and threw it away. My other friend went to use the restroom at another place and when she tried to join us in line that same staff member yelled at her to go to the back and if she didn't listen she would be banned. Maybe my friends were in the wrong both times, but he treated them both like kids, yelled at them and was super rude in front of everyone. There's different ways to talk to people , especially girls. I go up to the door the girl looks at my id and then asks me to see a debit or credit card that matched. I asked her why and & she said "new policy". But she didn't ask no one else & I've never been asked to show a debit card when trying to get in a bar. I was uncomfortable the whole time after that and kept checking my bank account. I knew I shouldn't have showed her, but i was already in a bad mood and just wanted to forget and have a good time. When we were leaving there was a guy outside who was visibly wasted. One of the staff members pushed him so hard he almost fell. A couple minutes later another staff member flagged down a cop car and next thing you know all these cops are surrounding this poor drunk guy. I get it, super drunk guys can be a problem, but why take that extra step and get him in trouble when he clearly needed help. I'm sure his friends were still inside and probably had no clue. It just made me sad. Maybe i see things different. But I'll never be coming back to this place. I can point out one or two bartenders that were amazing. And again the dj downstairs was the reason i kept coming back. But never ever again. Rude rude rude staff. read more

The venue is beautiful and the music was great. The reason for my low review is that it was insanely hot inside! It was so aweful that I will never return again. I asked one of the employees if the ac was on and he stated that the owner does not want to run it because he's cheap! Meanwhile I paid $20 for my husband and I to enter and $58 for 5 drinks! Such a fun new place in riverside. Drinks were great and reasonably priced. Music was on point both up and downstairs. All the staff were friendly which is so important. Plenty of seating here which is a must. Shout out to Ian and Brent for making some awesome drinks. Will definitely tell my friends to come here as well.. Only thing is that it was crazy hot in there. Stay clear from this place. The music is great and bartenders are pretty decent. But, security and staff are completely unreasonable/ dishonest workers. I've gone here a few times and have never had issues. I think since they are getting more popular now they believe they can get away with almost anything. Just like a few other yelpers here, I was escorted out for a ridiculous reason. I was walking into the club while my friend was paying for me to get in right behind me. The rude girl came up to me and said I couldnt walk in and that I had to leave. I was trying to explain that my friend was already paying for me and so I was just going to come in because I was actually headed for the bathroom. They didn't want to hear what I had to say and told me I had to leave. Since, I was just trying to have a good time with my out-of-town friends I decided not to cause a scene and just go somewhere else. I tried to go to pixels after giving up on this place. But the staff at AV club also work for the same owners of Pixels, and they somehow communicated with the bouncers not to let me into Pixels bar because apparently I was "fighting" at AV Club. I have never once gotten into a fight at a bar because fighting is just not something I do. I'm the most easy going person you could probably meet. I have never been dealt with so rudely and dishonestly like this before by an establishment. If you are looking for a hassle-free night then I urge you to stay clear from this place. read more
