Terrible experience--I would not recommend this spa…read more I booked a 90-minute back facial for Friday at 4:00 p.m. The treatment started at 4:03 and ended at 5:13, meaning it lasted only 69 minutes--more than 20 minutes shorter than advertised. The most alarming part was the lack of privacy. The treatment bed was positioned directly beside a large window, and the blind slats were left open throughout my appointment. Nearby residences were clearly visible through the window, meaning anyone looking toward the studio could potentially see directly into the treatment room. Because a back facial requires the client to remove clothing from the upper body, leaving the blinds open was extremely careless and made me feel exposed. Ensuring complete privacy before asking a client to undress should be one of the most basic responsibilities of any spa. I have included a photo showing exactly how the room and window looked. Even during the shortened 69-minute appointment, at least 40 minutes consisted of two separate periods of simply lying there while products or masks sat on my back. At other spas, the aesthetician would usually provide a short hand, arm, or shoulder massage during this time. Instead, I was left waiting and became very cold. I even told Yulia that I was cold, but the experience remained uncomfortable. Much of the remaining time was spent slowly wiping products from my entire back using two very small cotton pads. The actual extraction lasted no more than three to five minutes. At the end, I asked why a treatment advertised as 90 minutes had finished so early. Yulia was dismissive and said that I "didn't have many things to clean," so the treatment was faster. That does not justify cutting more than 20 minutes from a service advertised and priced as 90 minutes--especially when so much of the appointment consisted of inactive waiting time. The studio itself is very basic and located in an outdated building, which I could have overlooked if the service had been good. Unfortunately, the serious privacy issue, shortened treatment, minimal active service, physical discomfort, and dismissive attitude made the experience completely not worth the price. I had originally planned to book a facial here as well, but after this experience, I definitely will not be returning. I'm now looking for a different spa.
