I started out…read morewith Dr. Weinman, who was my favorite dentist of all time (I have had about 12 dentists throughout my life). He had a fantastic bedside manner that put people at ease, was very gentle, and I liked that he never once tried to upsell me on procedures or treatments I didn't need. So, I was sad when I heard he was going to sell the practice, because I figured I'd never find another dentist who I liked. But then Dr. Korn came into the picture! I find her style to be very similar to Dr. Weinman. (Which makes sense, because if I am not mistaken, I believe he was her mentor?) Dr. Korn is fantastic. She takes time to answer questions, she has a gentle touch, and I trust her with pointy/loud tools in my mouth. She's done a fair bit of work on my teeth, including repairing a chip in between my two front teeth. I can hardly remember precisely where the chip was now, because it looks so natural and has held up to my (probably overly rough) flossing. There's great staff in this office, from the front desk to the hygienists. Cheryl, one of the hygienists, is wonderful. Great bedside manner, and she's also gentle. Plus, she is compassionate and nonjudgemental, which is important if you have any shame about the state of your teeth. Also, my husband has Lauren as his hygienist, and he absolutely loves the way she cleans his teeth. Bonus about this office: It is spotlessly clean and beautiful inside. Looks modern and upscale (but not pretentious), so that can help put you at ease. (You can know you're not going to be uncomfortable in some dingy old office with questionable stains on the carpet, dental chairs with weird odors, mouse droppings in the corner, and out-of-date dental equipment. I've been to a couple like that! LOL.)

I had noticed two…read moredifferent gray/dark areas on two of my lower teeth and was concerned about the little gap I could feel where the bottom of the tooth ended and where the gums began. First appointment was just an initial check-up and cleaning. The staff are all very friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I was a bit nervous about my next appointment though, where the doc would get rid of that decay and fill it over. Never had a cavity in my life, now I'm 43 and it's all coming apart!! I went in for the fillings and wow, let me tell you - #1, I didn't even feel pain from the lidocaine injections given to numb you all up for the actual procedure. Just a bit of pressure. #2, I felt absolutely nothing during the actual removal work. And no, half my face wasn't out of commission nor did I drool or speak very incoherently lol. I do not have insurance, so I was pleasantly surprised by their prices. 10/10 will return as long as I live in this area!! NOT RELATED TO THE PLACE OF BUSINESS, JUST AN OBSERVATION FOR PEOPLE WITH NERVOUS HABITS---- However, I will warn any people with nervous habits that involve chewing or biting on your lips: the total numbness is going to cause you blisters the next day. I noticed myself doing it soon after the appointment and thought "OKAY you're going to have to stop doing that..." but alas, by the next day I had a weird looking sore on my lip where I bite it, pretty subconsciously, until now. Luckily that healed quick. But that's my own damn fault.

The staff was super friendly. My wait was minimal. Did a great job telling me what to expect, and it was an overall good experience. If you're looking for a dentist in the area, I recommend them. ========================================= I was seen by Dr Brent Popovich and his team, and they were great. I ended up here because I had to have a root canal about a week before moving to New York. (I know, right?) My dentist in Florida provided the root canal, but because of the time involved in getting a crown, I was going to have to do that when I got to New York. Even though this place had no reviews on Yelp, it did have great reviews on other rating websites, so I decided to give them a try. From the beginning, this was a very good experience. I called to schedule an appointment, the phone was picked up immediately, and the person on the other end was polite and friendly. They took my information, and were able to schedule an appointment within a few days of my planned arrival in New York. They had the availability to schedule me on a day that would be most convenient for my schedule despite the short notice. From the outside, it looks like a pretty small place but very well kept. There's plenty of parking. Inside, the lobby is open and bright. I showed up about 15 minutes early to my appointment, and was greeted right away. They knew who I was without telling them, and I was taken back almost immediately. The wait in the suite was short, the dental hygienist was friendly and professional. Dr Brent was in shortly after, and they got right to work. For this visit, I just had a permanent filling to replace the temporary one from the root canal. They will be getting authorization from insurance to proceed with the root canal, which will happen over the next couple of weeks. I will update my review as appropriate, but so far it's been a great experience.

I called TrueSmiles Dental and informed them that I've been having a horrible TMJ flare up for a month and was in search of a new dentist. I was able to get a new patient appointment within 2 weeks. I was incredibly nervous and anxious as I feared I cracked some teeth from my flare up. I had several x-rays taken it and a thorough cleaning done. Dr. Masoud was so kind and thoughtful. She examined my jaw and checked my teeth for signs of grinding. I've complained of TMJ pain to my past dentist and they never addressed the issue. However, Dr. Masoud prescribed me some medicine and suggested a mouth guard and injections. I really cannot thank her enough for looking at both my teeth and jaw. Inshallah, this will be the end to my jaw pain. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Masoud, especially if you suffer jaw pain.

I am very happy with how things worked out, and I would highly recommend then to anyone looking for a good place to go. The first positive is ease of scheduling. As a new patient, I was able to get an appointment scheduled in just a few weeks. At past places, it has always seemed like it can take 6 months to get an appointment scheduled at a "good time." As a teacher I don't like taking time off for appointments, so I try to go 3:30 or later and those are always booked, here it was easy to get an appt relatively soon. The staff was very friendly. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was very personable, she talked and was friendly, but didn't go overboard. Sometimes I find the hygienist gets too talkative when they have the tools in your mouth and it is a pain to talk, didn't find that here. They didn't suggest all sorts of work and things that needed to be done. My teeth aren't perfect. But I brush twice a day and try to floss most days a week and I feel that I have pretty good oral health. But some of the places i've gone seem to always suggest lots of different things I should have done, and I'm never very certain on if it needs to be done or if they just want to make money, but I didn't see that here. Overall, I am definitely not someone who loves going to the dentist, but the people at Batavia Family Dental made it an overall good experience.
