But as I also have a 6 week old baby and no one else to watch her, she had to come too... My appointment started out with my 2 year old sitting on my lap in the chair while Rita the hygienist raised up the chair and looked at both her teeth and mine, and given that she's going through her painfully shy phase, this was a miracle... Rita then lowered the chair and held out her hand to take my daughter to my mom in the waiting area, and my daughter happily went with her (again, miracle!) Rita then x-rayed my teeth and was very gentle, I wasn't uncomfortable at all (unlike previous dental X-rays). She then started my cleaning. Halfway through my cleaning, my youngest started howling and we could hear her all the way in the waiting room. Rita paused my cleaning, had my mom bring in the baby and gave me 10 minutes to nurse her right in the chair. Once the baby was happily asleep, Rita resumed my cleaning. I didn't actually get to see the dentist as he got called out on an emergency, but he looked at my x-rays later and called me to tell me everything looked just fine. My 2 year old had a great time in the waiting room, there were tons of toys for her to play with and the receptionist even gave her a prize for being so good. The whole experience was so positive, both for me and my kids and I will never be switching dentists ever again! My two year old is still talking about going to see the doctor that helped her teeth!

They said I had 2 suspected cavities. That was 2 years ago. Still have no tooth pain but recently got insurance and forgot why I never went back. The receptionist acting as thought I had questionable insurance and later called back to let me know they did accept my insurance -as if I won the lottery- but there would still be a $25 deductible. I asked 5 people at work and NOT ONE said they pay a deductible for cleanings. Brighton also wanted $100 for any work I might need done and said it as if I should expect something to be wrong, even though I've never had a cavity and have no tooth pain.

The endodonist quoted me $3000 cash only which I didnt have. I stopped by Sheridan Family Dental to for teeth cleaning and was told I missed the appointment. I must have written it diwn wrong. They refused to reschedule me. i then asked id they could refer me to an oral surgeon to extract the bad tooth since I couldnt afford the root canal and crown andrhe dentist came out and said i was no longer their patient cause I didnt follow the treatment plan. I had a very scary experience here. Note that you are not able to see a doctor unless you comply…read morewith both a panoramic x-ray and a set of bitewing x-rays. This is a total of about eight x-rays. It does not matter if you come with x-rays from your previous provider, and if they are recent. You cannot schedule a cleaning without the step because they insist on examining your teeth first. This makes me uncomfortable because it is a business decision and not a health decision and it is decided before you ever see a provider. Once you get the x-rays, the dentist gets results that are fed through AI software that provides a color-coded map of your teeth. They use this to tell you where you need various fillings. Based on the use of the software, I was told that I needed eight fillings. I did not have any teeth pain. I did not find this to be accurate or in line with what my previous dentist found and asked for a reevaluation with a different dentist at the same location. The second dentist indicated that some of the proposed cavities were artifacts from the software (anomalies in my teeth unrelated to decay), and that all others were not serious enough to immediately treat, but could be watched while I use a special medicated toothpaste. I am happy with my current dentist doctor Kang Who provided reevaluation at no cost, but I am very disturbed that the initial Dr advised drilling into eight of my teeth prior to this reevaluation. I would not trust any information drawn from this software. The office staff at the desk were very kind to me and helped me to schedule the second evaluation.
