The owners, Roy and Tess, were incredibly patient and took the time to thoroughly explain each service, which made me feel really comfortable going in. I did the infrared sauna pod for 40 minutes followed by cryotherapy. I came in with a really sore lower body from frequent heavy strength training, and I could already feel a difference after just the pod session. Once I added the cryo, it took everything to the next level--I left feeling lighter, mood felt boosted, and noticeably less sore. The owners of this place are absolutely insane. They have zero Customer Service actually got into an argument with their nurse in front of me regarding the procedure I was going to get. My second visit they were 45 minutes late and the door was locked so I had to wait outside in my car because it was freezing outside. I barely got an apology for that and he almost turned it around, saying it was my fault! It's insane. They're very unprofessional. My brother and I swung by here a couple weeks ago to use our Groupon voucher and also to experience cryotherapy for the first time! We came earlier than opening time and were chatting it up with some other ladies who were also waiting outside, who swore by cryo and do it regularly. They were about to run the LA Marathon and were doing some pre-run therapy. When it was our turn, we just signed a waiver and stepped right into the facility. Roy, who owns the place with his family, told us all about the benefits of cryo and told us about all our options in terms of how cold we wanted to go based on our cold tolerance. When it came time for our appointment, we just robed up and stepped into the state of the art full body cryo chamber for 3 full minutes...which seems short, but feels like much longer if you're freezing your butt off inside! I literally felt like Goku stepping out of that chamber - all regenerated. The effects lasted about a day or so for me, so I think it would be ideal for either pre or post athletic event. Location is simply perfect, there is tons of parking available in the shopping plaza lot right next door and the location couldn't be any easier to access. Walking in you feel like you are in this oasis spa that the owners have created. The layout and colors are simply amazing and makes you immediately feel welcomed. Walking in I was greeted and welcomed in by Brianna at the front desk, she was of course polite and knowledgeable about the business i.e. How it works, prices, and procedures. Shortly after the owner Roy came out and introduced himself and just went into depth details and gave me plenty of examples of how and why Cryo is Amazing and works. Walking out i of course made a purchase and made a future appointment to come back for myself and my mother. On my actual visit with my mother again we were greeted and welcomed, Roy remembered who I was which in any customer experience having them remember you is a great feeling. Come dressed as casual as you would like, Cryo will give you a room to change provided with a robe, socks, gloves, and slippers. You will remove all your over clothes and just leave your underclothes on. A key will be provided to lock away your belongings. He discovered the cryo method that worked better than PT and opened this business. They put you into a small chamber with -150f~190f liquid nitrogen for 3 min and it brings my body temp from 85f to 49f (sort of like the opposite of sauna ) I was skeptical at the beginning but really surprised how much energy it gives me and my sprained ankle & left knee pain got better after 3 weeks! Roy is a former JPL engineer, so every machine in Aurora has been vetted. It's like a high-tech mom-and-pop business, which is the perfect combination, for me, since tech is so cold; and cryotherapy even more so. The bottom line is their technologies work. Their whole body cryotherapy machine healed a Brazilian Jiujutsu wrist injury I had for months overnight. Of course, there are other benefits, most of which I probably couldn't even describe because they are internal, but the healed wrist is undeniable. Their NanoVi machine has me intrigued. It made the pain from a sore shoulder, also from Jiujutsu, disappear immediately after the treatment. I went in here for the first time this afternoon. I was amongst the first to arrive. Roy helped me out with everything and he was such a nice and well mannered person. I just got back from my first session of Cryotherapy! And it was AMAZING! First of all, I do Crossfit and I am also a reservist in the US Army. My husband, who is in the Air Force and does Body Building, recommended me to try this due to all the benefits. We live nearby so we use to walk by all the time - it's right across from the gym we frequent. Earlier this week I ended up with a slight wrist injury while doing a movement at Crossfit. I have the Army's Physical Fitness Test scheduled this weekend and was worried about the pain so I decided...what the heck, let's give it a try. It takes a lot to wow me but after walking out of my Cryotherapy session, I was instantly WOW'ed! The pain I had in my wrist went from a level 5 to level 1 - before the session it hurt to rotate my wrist. After the session I had full mobility of the wrist without pain and only when pressure was applied is when the pain would be present. Not only was I WOW'ed by the Cryotherapy session, I was also WOW'ed by the service I received from Roy! He took time educating me on the benefits of Cryotherapy along with how and why it works. Honestly, they deserve 10 stars! I took my sister there because she has been experiencing intense pain since she was diagnosed with stage three inflammatory breast cancer. Roy, the owner, is very knowledgeable about his craft and has a heart of gold. For someone who is rather claustrophobic, my sister was totally on board and successfully completed her first session of three minutes. Her core body temp dropped to 49 degrees. When she got out, she seemed to be experiencing much less pain than when she went it. She transitioned to the NanoVi zero gravity chair and was pain free for about 20 minutes. It was quite amazing. While she is still experiencing pain, it seems to be less than before. She still has two more sessions left so we will see how it goes but I am a believer. read more

WHAT! REALLY!? No clue why this place has 4.5 stars. Aurora Cryo Spa is such a clean, nice designed, up to date, chill Spa. As soon as I walked in I was welcomed by Roy and later on, by Breanna with a warm hand shake and smiles. I had made my appointment yesterday with Tess. After we all greeted one another, I filled out a standard waiver form, I got my blood pressure checked and that is it for the introduction. READY TO CHILL! Almost... before the full body cryo session, I went into a locker/bedroom like room to change and place belongings, a personal locker with key ,to place all of my belongings, a brand new robe, new socks, and a pair of crock like shoes and NOW,it's SHOWTIME! As Roy was setting up the Cryo station (tube like machine) we were talking about the benefits of this therapy and the elite athletes that use this, including Tony Robbins, who has a Cryo Station in every one of his homes! I feel like a new woman! My first experience with cryotherapy and it was amazing! I phoned in and spoke to Tess who was super pleasant and helpful in scheduling same day appointments for me and my buddy. Once we got there, we had only a couple of simple waivers to fill out, then we were taken into a changing area. We were given a key for our own locker to store our clothes (ladies - underwear is okay, but no underwire bras or body jewelry) and change into a robe, long socks and gloves. Then we were ready! Roy took our body temp before/after. When I first got into the machine, it was already a little cold, but as it got colder and colder Roy had me doing 360's and I was happy to do them! When I was done, my temp got down to 46 degrees! I felt invigorated and pain free. There is a T.V. in front of you while you are in the machine, but Roy did an excellent job at distracting me. He explained every step and let me know how much time I had left. The facility is very clean with beautiful turquoise walls, an aquarium and air diffuser so it smells nice! The location is on Myrtle, but easy to access if you park in the Pavilions parking lot near Baskin Robbins. I can't wait to do it all over again! read more

I am a student of Tony Robbins and his teachings. Tony lives what he preaches. My daughter and I walked on hot coals with 10,000 other people, including Oprah, at one of his seminars in LA. The only downside is that Aurora Cryospa is closed on Sundays but I guess that's because they're a family business and need at least one day off. Location, location, location! Beyond tired of driving to the West Side for treatment and was thrilled to hear about a spot down the street. I read the one-star review and it is hard to believe that management would leave anyone hanging as I never once got that vibe. After running my first marathon, I visited another location and immediately felt great after with a faster recovery time than I was told I would deal with so I knew Cryotherapy would help me with a new back injury. A friend had recommended trying out Cryo spa. This place was in driving distance and I didn't have to deal with the westside traffic. I was having chronic shoulder and knee pain from lifting. I've been a regular client at Aurora Cryo Spa for about four months now. I was suffering form a very bad arthritis flare-up that my meds weren't handling. The night after my first cryotherapy was the first night in months that I slept without waking up in pain. It took more sessions before the benefits lasted more than a day. At one point, I did the therapy everyday for two weeks. Since then I've been able to back it down to once or twice a week without pain. I was in the area for work and walking back to my car, I noticed Aurora Cryo Spa. No clue what cryo was at the time so I was curious. I walked in and a tropical fish tank greeted me along with a friendly receptionist. Then Roy, the owner came out to meet me and explained what cryotherapy was and showed me around. He is knowledgeable and has many years of experience. So on a whim, I tried the whole body treatment. I was glad to try something new but I will never ever complain about the cold ever again! Wow! I was relieved the treatment was over then a day later felt more energetic and did notice a difference. Cryotherapy in a nutshell is where freezing liquid gas cools your skin temperature by 20 degrees or so to constrict blood vessels. It was invented in the 70's in Japan to help people with arthritis pain. Today, it's known for pain relief used on athletes or to relieve soreness. The staff is very attentive. They pay attention to details and during my treatment suggested I move around a bit to get my mind off the cold.
