I've been seeing Dr. Melissa Lo since August of 2015. Prior to that, I've never had acupuncture before. The Monrovia office is located at a corner house located on the southwest corner of Walnut Ave and Ivy Avenue. (Ivy Avenue parallels Myrtle Avenue). There's street parking or a small lot behind the house. I've been here not only for acupuncture, but also had cupping, Meridian Therapy, and Moxa. The office inside is nice and they have multiple rooms for patients. The staff is good about calling you ahead to remind you of your appointment. After your session, they offer you some hot tea. You can also get herbal supplements if needed. They accept most insurance. Melissa definitely knows her stuff and cares about each of her patients. Other than pain management and other problems, Melissa is also known for treating infertility. She splits her time between the Pasadena and Monrovia office but I've only been to the Monrovia location as it's close to my office. I could just pop in during lunch for an appointment then head back to work! 21/100 Reviews for 2016

First Time and Great Results!…read more Hurt and shifted a disc in my lower spine. I was referred by a friend to CYY for a first time experience for Acupuncture. I tired compression braces, aleve, Icy hots, Solonpas patch's, yoga rollers, exercises and I kept re-injuring my lower back (3rd time). When I made my first visit I was on my 7th day of recovery and was not able to stand straight without a compression brace. Lower back was completely loosened after visit. 2nd visit I was able to move with full motion, no back brace. I stand all day and do mfg work so I highly recommend this place if you need to recover fast. Price was very affordable, since I spent about $125 at target for all the braces and medication. My lower back loosened up in one visit and I had a second to fully be able to twist. I feel I had a lot of pressure release with the acupuncture and cupping. You can feel the relief if you are hurting really bad. Highly recommended thank you CYY!

I tried multiple other therapies for my pain, but nothing ever helped. After a few sessions with Dr. Chen, my pain and discomfort improved greatly. He is very knowledgeable and very gentle throughout the acupuncture process and I felt very comfortable. I would definitely come back for other concerns and will continue to come back for my hand pain flareups. I highly recommend this acupuncture clinic if you are looking natural and effective approach to improving your health. There is usually a wait on the weekends, so I recommend coming on a weekday.

I mean working mom life, you know how it is I went to L acupuncture And I opted for an acupressure massage with Chinese medicine All I can say is my massage therapist is so skilled My massage therapist is Hui 慧 She knew where I was in pain even without me telling her feel the tension relieved immediately Treasure: the Chinese medicine... like this black thingy They also do cupping And chair massage IG: socalhkfoodies

I got acupressure therapy which included a…read moredeep tissue massage, hot stones, a black Chinese herbal paste and a head massage at the end. There's a diagram that outlines all of these acupressure points that she kept pressing which she pointed out in the hallway before we went to the room. The masseuse used special techniques to stimulate acupressure points by kneading and rolling to the point where she actually stopped to tell me part of my scapula was "not good," and I could tell because it got increasingly painful as she worked on it. I added cupping to the massage, which was my first time trying it, and I have no regrets. It adds a slight bit of pressure to the back but not at all to the point where it becomes painful. She used the one that vacuumed the air out so no fire was involved. I didn't realize that the color of the circles meant something, so I learned a lot about my body's circulation and stagnation. It's honestly so worth it to get a massage like this to relieve the stress your body holds because I don't believe a typical massage can get it out as this traditional Chinese massage can. There's plenty of parking in the structure located behind the building.

I first went to see him at the end of 2016, I had migraines that were no joke. I'd be vomiting every time I had an episode, and I had no relief from any of the Western doctors or tests I'd tried. Dr. Zhao's acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine were a game changer. After four months of treatment, my back pain was completely gone, and I only had one migraine before my period, which is a total win. Fast forward to the beginning of this year, and my husband and I had been trying to conceive for over 1.5 years with no success. We were both tested and everything fine, even the ovulation-inducing meds our OB/GYN prescribed didn't work, my on is going to refer us to the reproductive center. We turned to Dr. Zhao again. After two months of acupuncture and medicine, we finally got the news we were waiting for. I'm pregnant, and it's all thanks to Dr. Zhao! I already had a blood test, and the result was positive. Dr. Zhao is amazing, and I'm so grateful for his help! And the staff Morgan is also super nice and helpful!
