We didn't understand what we were walking into when we made an appointment for my wife and I. Consult, massage, adjust, therapy. I was like, we didn't come for a massage, but isn't a feel good massage, it really is for therapy. Thought was a normal chiropractic office, it is not! The dr and staff really go over the specifics that are creating the issues. They focus on those issues and do what's needed for rehabilitation. A lot of state of the art machinery. I hurt myself doing one of the pettiest of all my daily chores, throwing out the trash. Immediately I couldn't take a step without extreme pain shooting through my lower back and leg. I barely made it back upstairs to my apartment, you can imagine the shock. Feeling helpless I really thought, "I'm getting old, I'm falling apart, it's happening, it's over!"... I know... the drama. I spoke to my gym trainer for advice and he told me to find a chiropractor. The next day a google search quickly pulled up the new Reform Chiropractic facility in El Monte... I called and was glad to hear they could see me that very same evening. When I walked in the place was inviting, noticeably clean, and polished. The ENTIRE staff was friendly and greeted me with big smiles. Receptionist Sol is literally a ray of sunshine with her kindness and smile, and her along with Esme were very accommodating with scheduling specially since I have limited available time. For my consultation I met with Dr. Sanchez, who was very knowledgeable, and patient. He explained everything in detail and made me feel like I had nothing to worry about. Immediately after my consultation and X-ray review I began treatment with Alfonso, one of the therapists who went HAM (I was warned it would be painful). I cuss a lot so after throwing a few F and B words here and there to get me through my massage I was hooked up with cryotherapy (helps with inflammation, feels good after the whooping they give you)... I was super sore for a few days, and once the soreness was gone I was in much less pain and had gained most of my mobility quite quickly. It occurred to me I could get treatment for other issues and pain I've been dealing with for years, I was scared to go there cause I had just lived with these aches for so long. I continued treatment/maintenance care for a few more visits and after each visit there was major improvement. I suffered for YEARS from headaches/neck pain and often had a hard time sleeping, I had little faith it would go away but literally after 2-3 visits focusing on that area, Dr. Sanchez and massage therapists Marc, Kira, and Iza corrected that issue for me. No headaches and no neck pain since! I've had the pleasure of meeting and being treated by Dr. Rivera, and Dr. Garay as well and they too are really good and knowledgeable at what they do. I'm glad to have had the amazing team at Reform walk me through my healing journey. I am able to do so much more, feeling stronger and new after each visit dealing with much less pain in my lower and upper back and I'm even doing the big girl weights at the gym now. I'm recovering from a bad car accident and this place uses different techniques to put my body back to where it belongs. Not only do they do chiro, they have used a spinal decompression on me, the massages are better than outside masseuse and uses different machines for the back, and even ice it after the session. I've been here 3x. During the first appointment they are supposed to take x-rays, medical massage, physical therapy introduction, and spinal alignment. I only received the medical massage and x-rays (maybe they were too busy to give me the whole introduction). To come back for another medical massage, I had to sit there listening to the physical therapy introduction. And then do the spinal alignment. They won't let you get a massage until you've done those things at least once. The last time I came in, I was firm that I only want the medical massage, cryo vest (included), and spinal decompression (free). You have to be very specific about what you want or they will just naturally schedule you for things like PT or spinal alignment. Also if you don't tell them you want the spinal decompression, they won't always provide it with your appointment. Lets start with, Dr. Sanchez does not wear masks as a standard. I had to request him to put a mask on. He is a very insecure person. For some reason he believes that he will be best friends with every customer that comes in. If he feels that we haven't reached that level of closeness, he freaks out and tries harder to force it. He says things like " I don't feel like we are connecting here." And he will stop your appointment to confront you on why you don't love him. Dr. Sanchez doesn't seem to make the distinction between personal and professional relationships. Even though I was avoiding Dr. Sanchez; he would come by and stick his face into mine during my spinal decompression (where you are literally trapped and strapped to a table). And he wasn't wearing a mask. He was holding his scrubs over his face. I really like the medical massage here, but dealing with Dr. Sanchez is not worth it. I came here to get services for my pain. It's not my job or responsibility to make Dr. Sanchez feel better about his insecurities or our "relationship". read more

I'm coming off a season ending injury in my freshmen year of football from a fractured forearm injury and luckily I got recommended the place and it has been a blast ever since. Dr. Eric James Pitpitan is very patient and very thorough when he is taking care of you or showing you exercises for a specific part of the body. I like when he is very thorough because doing the exercise right with the correct movements will just make you stronger over time. What I also like about this location is that it is very roomy and has a lot of space. If you get a chance, there is this back massage bed and is the best before your appointment with a doctor because it makes you feel relaxed and honestly makes the back feel good.
