Breakfast basket every morning! This one had a Valentine's card and candy.
Megan A.

What a gem! My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Napa for my 40th birthday, and he could not of found a more perfect place to stay! The cottages are right on SR128 and were super easy to find. Every time we drove back, we could clearly see the signage, and especially at night, it was pretty well lit. Kate was such a great hostess. Every morning she dropped off a basket filled with fresh baked pastries, fresh cut fruit and a carafe full of juice. She left Jelly Belly's and a personal note for us upon our arrival, and for Valentine's Day, left another little note and two chocolates in our breakfast basket. This place just reeked of charm! This cottage was one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed. The fridge, microwave, bedding, shower, hardwood floor, breakfast table- everything was spotless! She even included a wine bottle opener in the coffee/tea/sugar basket, so there is no need to bring your own, or go out and buy one. The shower was older, with classic tile work, yet big, and again, spotless! The cottage smelled clean and was bright and inviting. Simple and beautiful artwork by local artists hung on the walls. The cottage theme was simple and shabby chic. Rustic mirrors and simplicity throughout. The interior paint was calming, rustic and matched the overall theme perfectly. Parking was right outside the cottage; clearly marked to match your cottage number, so you ALWAYS have the same parking spot during your entire stay and was just steps away. I really just can't say enough good things. From check-in to check-out, this place was just wonderful. If you are looking to stay somewhere unique, charming, clean, comfortable, private, and close to the wineries, and are tired of "Big Hotel", this place is for you. Kate, thank you so much for making my big birthday getaway a memorable and comfortable one. Your hospitality and warmth made Aurora Park Cottages the perfect place to turn 40! We truly did not want to check out!

My family and I spent two wonderful nights at the Aurora Park Cottages. Like so many others have commented, Kate was a wonderful host who made sure that everything was just right. We stayed in the Aurora House, a spacious and lovely two bedroom cottage. There are queen beds in each bedroom, which were comfortable and outfitted with soft down bedding. In the living room there were two comfortable loveseats, two armchairs, and a "fainting couch" by the front windows. There was a big coffee table in the middle that was perfect for family games, though an extra lamp or overheard light to illuminate the table would have been nice. The breakfast nook had just enough space for the four of us to sit down in the morning and for my daughter to do her homework in the evening. Each bedroom and the living room had their own climate control systems which worked surprisingly well. It was quite chilly during our visit, but between these devices and the gas fireplace we were comfortable our entire time there. There were TVs with DirectTV in both bedrooms and the living room, so there was no fighting over what anyone wanted to watch. The Aurora House has a full kitchen with stove, microwave, and full size refrigerator. There is no dishwasher, but this wasn't a problem at all and a dish rack and detergent is provided. There's a drip coffee machine, with coffee grounds provided, and a tea kettle and handful of teabags. If you choose to do your own cooking, you'll have to bring your own cooking oil and spices if you need to use more than just salt and pepper. The kitchen is otherwise well-stocked with plenty of dishware, flatware, cooking utensils, and pots and pans. Every morning at around 8:30, Kate came by with warm pastries (croissants, cinnamon rolls, blueberry scones), a large bowl of cut fruit (watermelon, blueberries, raspberries, pineapple, pear) and a carafe of juice. When I booked this cottage I wasn't aware that this was included, so this was an unexpected surprise and made our stay even more enjoyable. Be aware that the Aurora House is located right by the highway, and in the morning the traffic can be noticable. However, the double-paned windows do an excellent job of muting the noise and we slept soundly until we decided that it was time to wake up. As mentioned above, Kate was an outstanding host. She called us on the day of arrival to let us know that the house was ready and provided us instructions for the remote check in and the simple check out. I called her as we left to thank her for an excellent stay and we chatted for several enjoyable minutes. When we return to Napa Valley someday, we will certainly look to stay here again.

Provided breakfast every morning! Delicious

My wife and I booked one of these cottages for a few nights while exploring the Napa Valley and we are very glad we did! Super clean, great accommodations, friendly service, provided breakfast every morning and easy parking. Spaces are large enough for trucks or SUVs no problem. Kate was a wonderful host, every morning she makes and walks your breakfast to each cottage (there are huge bird houses outside your door that she places the breakfast basket into so you can get at your convenience). Seriously debated even writing this review just so we can keep this place a hidden gem a little longer, but the effort and love that Kate puts into the place and making sure her guest are comfortable has to be recognized. Will definitely be staying here next time we get in the mood to pay too much for wine.

Husband took me here for the night after wine tasting and we had a lovely time! Comfy bed, warm showers, beautiful views and a delicious breakfast basket.

We came here for our wedding anniversary. We decided to visit the Castillo De Amorosa that was a few miles away. We had a great time here! We got the queen cottage. It had a cute nook area and breakfast was included. They give you a parking spot and it's right in front of your cottage. The front desk lady also gave us a voucher to use to call a bus service to pick us up. We would just call right before we would leave and they'd come in 15 minutes. At night it's a little busier so give them 30 minutes. This voucher was free of charge. You can go anywhere within the 3 mile radius from the cottages. They drove us to the Castle, the blue bar, also to the downtown area at night. It was a great experience! The cottage was also very clean and accommodating. Next time I want to get the cottage house. I can't wait to come back!

Who doesn't prefer a private cottage over a hotel room? Aurora Cottages are in a perfect location on the north end of the Napa Valley, close to the quaint town of Calistoga. Large bathroom, soft but comfy beds and nice little kitchen complete with microwave, small refrigerator, coffee and teapot with great teas and the local Coffee Roasters brew. We absolutely loved the breakfast basket with fresh baked croissants, juice and fruit each morning. The view was nice from the porch....truly a quiet respite after a full day of wine tasting and exploring. The innkeeper couldn't have been nicer and the cleaning staff did an excellent job.

We had a lovely stay at the cottages! Some of our favorite things: 1) The bed- SO comfortable. Bedding was soft and tons of pillows! We inquired where it was from. 2) Little touches- Water in the fridge, container of jelly beans by the bed, fresh daffodils on the nightstand with a personalized handwritten welcome card, fresh coffee grounds for the morning and the perfect light breakfast delivered to your door in a cute basket in the morning. Perfect to hold you over till lunch! 3) Your own private deck with a table to enjoy a afternoon glass of wine or your coffee in the morning. 4) Cottage was very clean! You could tell they put your health into consideration *covid cautious visitor* 5) Kate who runs everything was amazing! So friendly, warm and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will DEFINITELY be returning. Soon!

Loved this little cottage. Soo cute and clean! Perfect place to stay! Nice and quiet. Quick little drive to the wineries. Will definitely stay here again! The breakfast was delicious, especially the scone!

Even if you think they are kind, this place is little bit expensive. As you know, they are really kindly and These rooms are really comfortable. Good coffee, wifi, Welcome fruits. That's good. But I think this place expensive compared to other hotels I have been experienced. The reason is 'Wonderful Breakfast'. I don't agree to 'wonderful breakfast' that they are called 'wonderful'. When I took the basket from host, It looked very wonderful. But thats all. They give me basket just two kind of croissant and scones, And orange juice. I just wanted a greek yogurt and whatnot. Why do they say it is wonderful? If I had known that the breakfast, I never hasn't go to this place.

Small dining area (mini fridge, coffee maker to the right)

Words to describe the cottages here: warm, cozy, intimate, private and pleasant. My boyfriend and loved everything about this place. We loved the small wooden patio in front of the cottage, the small dining area with mini fridge and coffee maker, the queen size bed with amazing soft sheets, and the small living area with a large, comfy sofa. Our stay here was relaxing and I highly recommend others to book a place here. Kate, the owner was so helpful. I called to inform her about my interest and she immediately gave us the run-down on what to expect. The overall experience and the booking process went 100% smoothly. 1. Call to book your stay 2. Provide payment information 3. Call the night before to confirm your arrival, payment (charge is made day of arrival), and cottage # 4. Enjoy your stay Don't forget to let Kate know when you'll be visiting the different wineries. She provided us with a cooler and some ice packs to keep our drinks cool. Oh and do prepare to see animals roaming around the area at night. It was a surprise to us but we enjoyed every bit of it. It's not like you see a skunk or deers running around your front door every day. That was fun.

Beautiful sunset!

We stayed here Feb 14th-16th. The inn keeper was very friendly and attentive. She traveled a lot and my husband & I really enjoyed listening to all her adventures! Didn't really hear any road noise at all. Our cottage was located at the end of the street. Walking distance to downtown Calistoga. Yes, the main road is busy but ask the innkeeper for the shortcut route, cuts through residential areas so only on busy road few minutes. Lucked out on the weather, it was in 80s except for rain when we checked out. If you like cottage charm this is definitley your place! It was clean and big. Loved having the patio. Will come back for sure next fall or winter!

As soon as we arrived, as we were getting out of our car, we were greeted by name by Chris, one of the two owners. He was so welcoming and friendly! He gave us a quick tour and helped us figure out how to use the Keurig. It was close enough to 5pm, so he whisked us away to the beautiful wrap around porch for the daily wine and cheese social. There we met Brent, his partner, who was equally as charming and funny. They were magnificent hosts throughout our stay! We only wish we had stayed on a weekend so that we could enjoy the luxurious brunch we had seen in photos. However, since we woke up on a weekday, we each received a $25 breakfast voucher to use at one of 3 local eateries. We opted for Bella Bakery on Lincoln. Thanks for the rec, Brent! It did not disappoint and those vouchers were plentiful. I also really appreciated the little details, like the complimentary water, the snack bags for the next day, and the toiletries in our bathroom. Thank you for making our first experience at a B&B a wonderful one! We will absolutely be recommending this B&B to our friends and family!

Perfectly fluffy beignets, a croque madame baked in a delicate crepe, and berries tossed in a spiced wine syrup with cinnamon and star anise. It honestly rivaled any restaurant brunch I've ever had. The big wraparound porch was our favorite spot to relax, whether sipping morning coffee or enjoying a glass of wine at sunset. Solage is nestled right on the Silverado Trail in the heart of Calistoga, and the location is unbeatable--you're basically three minutes from downtown and a short, scenic drive from St. Helena and Yountville. The property itself is stunning. It's got that modern wine-country vibe with about 100 detached studios spread across 20-plus acres. When you're sitting in one of the natural hot spring pools or hitting the cold dips at the spa, it really does feel like world-class luxury. Between the mud slides, the gravity chairs, and the fitness classes, you can easily spend your whole trip without leaving the gates. The Food: Solbar is a must. We had the seven-course New Year's Eve prix fixe with wine pairings over numerous years, and each were equally unique and incredible. It's that perfect balance of farm-to-table "health" food and total comfort dishes. For something more low-key, Picobar by the pool has some of the best Baja-style tacos I've had in NorCal. Plus, the whole place is super dog-friendly, which is a huge win for us. The Experience & Pro-Tip: Definitely book through AmEx Platinum if you can. We used the Fine Hotels + Resorts program and snagged a $300 credit, a late 4 p.m. checkout, and an automatic upgrade. I will say, even "perfect" places have their off moments. This year, despite requesting a room close to the spa months in advance (and confirming twice), they initially tucked us away at the far edge of the property. I wasn't thrilled about hiking across 22 acres in my robe and sandals! I spoke with the front desk, and the concierge actually went back and reviewed my recorded calls to verify the request. They did move us about 30 minutes later to a spot half the distance away, though it lacked the private fenced patio and fireplace of our original booking. I was too tired to keep fighting it and just wanted to get to the spa, so I settled in. Despite that hiccup, the service and the atmosphere here remain some of the best in the world. It's not cheap, but for the memories and the access to Napa's best vineyards, it's worth it every time. Can't wait to be back next year.

Compared to Stanly, the rates for rooms were more expensive while I felt the Stanly offered a much better campus. Despite the comments about the campus, the food onsite was pretty good and the reviews will be posted in their respective pages. The room service could have been better as they missed delivery of the pre-ordered breakfast in the morning as the night shift didn't properly fill in the order request and didn't get placed, but the team quickly remedied the situation and delivered not too long after our original request time. The rooms were comfy with a good layout, but the garden out back were covered with fences and it didn't feel as freeing as Stanly Ranch's rooms where the back patio is uncovered. Overall, I'd visit Stanly or Auberge du Soleil when going back to the Napa area.

The hotel is over 100 years old and it's maturity is part of its charm. There was some work being performed in a guestroom on the 2nd floor but they worked on it for short periods every day. Love the strategy. There is no insulation on guestroom doors so it's easy to hear conversations and heavy slamming doors. There is no elevator so the 2nd floor doesn't appear to be Accessible. There are rooms on the 1st level however. The jacuzzi was wonderful and hot Tuesday morning but lukewarm on Thursday morning. Front desk staff state every now and then a guest inadvertently turns it off, and did so Wednesday night by pressing the Emergency button (instead of the timer for the jets). Bummer. It took hours for it to reheat. Maybe a sign for the jets could discourage that from happening again. Check In & Staff: Male staff were friendly and helpful - especially Manny!! The hotel does have a luggage cart but it won't help those staying on the 2nd floor since there is no elevator. However 2 of the guys volunteered to follow me outside to the car to retrieve my luggage. Soooo much appreciated! They not only carried them upstairs to my room but came back to carry them again when I relocated to a different room. They wouldn't even except a tip! Thanks guys! My heros. Other staff: The female staff at the front desk wasn't as friendly but maybe she had an off couple days. No eye contact, acknowledgement, or smile. She did engage however when spoken to. All other staff - housekeeping (especially), maintenance, painters, etc., were genuinely friendly and helpful. It made my stay relaxing which was much needed! Thanks again. Breakfast: Staff prepare a daily breakfast tray that's delivered to each room at your preferred time. Breakfast consisted of FRESH and DELICIOUS breads, lemon cake, a tangerine, and a warm pot of mild-blend coffee. Room: Towels were fluffy, soft, good-smelling, and appeared new! The linen and robes were fresh and clean. The room was well furnished and the environment inviting. The bed was on the firm side but was very comfortable. I had to remember not to sit on the edge too long though because the ribbing on the edge of the mattress hurt. There was no bottled water in the room but there was a carafe to be filled with ice/water at the Hydration Station located on the 1st floor. It would have been nice to have a Station upstairs too or bottles of water for upstairs guests. Having a mini fridge and safe in the room was a nice touch. A microwave somewhere for guests (use) would have been nice for reheating leftovers. Window screens would have been nice to enjoy fresh air in the room without bugs. Bathtub stopper should probably be replaced because it was old, discolored, and soiled. Bathroom walls could use a little touch-up paint but none of those issues were big deal breakers for me. The things that could have definitely been better in the room were the loud bathroom fan (and the inability to turn it off independently from the light switch) and the hum from the mini fridge. The fridge clicks on/off 24/7, and at night when its quiet the hum is annoying. Glad I brought adapters for electronics since there are standard electrical outlets only, and no place to plug in USB cords. Check Out: Payment for your room is deducted from your credit card at the beginning of your stay when you check in. To check out you can drop your room keys in the box at the front desk. I chose to wait (10 minutes) for staff to return to the desk for a receipt. Value: I didn't visit the hotel spa this visit. However even with the Spring Special the hotel seems a bit overpriced, and without the spa is probably closer to a 3-star hotel. Caveat though is that everything in Calistoga appears to be overpriced - after all it's a resort town. Love the peace and tranquility though. Overall a really nice stay and I definitely recommend.

No onsite parking lot; however, we were able to easily find free parking nearby. Upon entry, visitors are greeted by the warmth of the inviting lobby and vibrance from its eccentric interiors. With peppy Art Deco décor and furnishings, the inn boasts a charming ambiance that takes guests back to the 1920's and 1930's era. We stayed on the second floor in Room 221, a chic bedchamber with nods to the early 20th century, furnished with a high-quality, comfortable bed, flat-screen television, espresso machine, fridge, and glassware for self-catering. HOTEL SERVICE: The front desk staff, especially Manny, was extremely friendly and helpful. One night, when I couldn't find unmetered parking, Manny assured me that parking overnight in the metered spaces along the front of the hotel on Lincoln Avenue would not trigger a citation, even during the metered times. Seeing that I was apprehensive to do this, he promised to cover the cost of a parking ticket, if I would receive one. He was right; the timed metered parking was not enforced the next day. The complimentary light coffeehouse-style continental breakfast with fresh coffee, tea, fruit, juice and pastries, delivered directly to our room each morning was also very nice. TRUE SPA CALISTOGA: The whimsical accoutrements continue in the spa. No showers, but small, private lockers with robes and slippers are assigned to each patron. Since we were staying at a spa hotel, we booked appointments for restorative spa experiences, for Thursday, the 22nd, at 2:00 PM. It was very convenient to stumble downstairs for facials and revitalizing body treatments + massages. Our appointments were for the Detox + Glow (90MIN) (BODY THERAPIES) package, a relaxing combination of upper body massage (neck, arms, and shoulders) paired with a facial focus using Blue Beautifly Organic Skincare alongside the Bentonite Clay Mud Mask to nourish the body and skin head to toe. 90 minutes for $280 included a fully body massage. I was assigned to technician Rosa Cisneros who was very nice. The sessions were soothing and relaxing; however, Mom and I were confused at the conclusion, thinking that we were still to receive a full body mud mask or wrap, as per the description of the Detox + Glow package. Due to no mud mask, we were given a 15% discount. VERDICT: Mount View Hotel & Spa is a charming establishment and perfect place to slow down time and enjoy a respite.

It is a very popular place so I will give them that. Thank you Eli for giving my family & I a very wonderful & relaxing memory. Best to you and Happy New year. P.S. They have free bikes on the property, but boy are they weird! I think I might've been nine years old when I've used handlebars like that.

When we first arrived, we drove through a bridge and then we were surrounded by planted gardens and fruit trees with a few chairs and tables spaced apart. We called Kurt and he came right away to help us, directed us to a good parking spot, and then showed us around. We arrived around 10:00AM and it was still quiet with only one other couple by the pool. Kurt showed us where the switches for the hot tub jets were, the switch for the sauna, towels, bathroom, water, etc. The rest of the day was extremely relaxing. People slowly trickled in and seemed to hit peak occupancy around 1:00PM. There were beautiful views of the hillside and trees. Everything clean and neat. Plentiful umbrellas for shade. A quiet atmosphere with friendly conversations. There were always lounge chairs to choose from. I loved the layout of the place. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were all spacious and never felt crowded. Around 6:00PM the pool area starts emptying out, and weather quickly gets cooler. I'd recommend bringing a cooler with drinks and snacks to maximize your relaxation time. An amazing place to be and we'll definitely be back whenever we need to let go of any stress.

Honestly, this place isn't worth it. It seems like it was a legit old motel 6 that got renovated…read more And not well. The floors in our room were not even but seemed like the threw cheap carpet over uneven flooring. I was not impressed, and the place isn't cheap. Maybe if we were able to spend more time and were able to experience more of the grounds and what the place had to offer. But it's a place where I've seen and feel like I don't need to go back. Cute area. Lots to do around there. But the place itself is lacking.

When you enter the hotel room, you enter a separate sitting room which has a big table and a booth with an entry way into the main bedroom area. It might be nicer if the room had more lounging space, and I would have appreciated a couch for more of a hang out area. The hotel provided a small snack (popcorn) and refillable water bottles, and there was a hot water kettle and pour-over coffee carafe. The bed was comfortable, but the shower left a little to be desired as the water pressure was low, making it hard to get all of my hair wet. I believed that we were staying in the older part of the motel facing the road so it wasn't particularly scenic. There are natural mineral hot springs pools, an area for adults and two pools and a hot tub for families. It was great to have these lovely mineral pools on property which were open from 8a to 10p. Front desk service was very friendly.
