An amazing cocktail! GREEN FLASH gran clasico blanco tequila, housemade jalapeño herb syrup, (I am not a tequila person so substituted vodka for tequila.

We had a lovely time at Solage. Our bungalow was excellent. The bed and linens were so comfortable and plush. Loved the ceiling fan, and the turn down service that included nightly flavored water. The welcome snack and wine was a nice touch. Shower was spacious and relaxing. Bathroom had great lighting and a makeup mirror. And a separate toilet closet, which is always great. The patio was nice as well. Only areas for improvement are the charging nightstands. Mine did not work. The hair dryer is also much lower quality than you'd expect for a room at this price. And the water takes minutes to get warm. The pool and spa are truly where this resort shines. The spa is super cool, because they have a sauna, steam room, and different types of heated pools with their own benefits. We rented a cabana by the pool, and had a relaxing afternoon. Their onsite restaurants are also delicious. And the daily lemonade and ice tea stand was lovely.

Had a wonderful stay at Solage in December 2025. Staff made our birthday celebration special at every turn. Katherine at the front desk was super friendly and helpful at check in. Spa facilities were great! Loved the infrared sauna and eucalyptus steam room. Close to downtown Calistoga-- we took bikes out one day, and took one of their Mercedes resort cars out later. Peaceful environment and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

This is my first visit Spa Solage. It's absolutely fantastic experience. I got signature massage from Mel, was legitimately the best massage. She listened what I need. She is very sweet and amazing. I spent raining afternoon at the mineral hot pool and serenity magnesium pool. But a little upset with the steam room because it's not hot enough. I order Lobster roll for my lunch at solbar, it's was delicious. And we also dining for dinner here also. Start with Dungeness crab salad : Crab is fresh mixed with perfect ingredients and full flavor. Main course is short ribs, it's so tender and taste very good. Wild mushrooms is incredible also. Dessert is butterscotch.. omg!!! Too rich but perfect combination.

What is really Gem there are people who work there! I had a massage there with Amanda and she is professional in every ways! She was listening and delivered What I needed! It hard to find now a good masseuse even in 5 stars resorts. Thank you Amanda and I will see you again. You're absolutely right, great staff makes all the difference, especially when they're professional and talented like Amanda

The location is absolutely amazing. The Spa off the charts with so many therapy pools. Hot and cold plunges. Dry and wet sauna. The mud bath is a must. The cottages are updated and some have a fireplace , with parking just outside. The restaurant was not 5 stars. However you're in a region where you have so many options. They need to upgrade their rusty bikes. They have coffee at the lobby till only 9AM . Yes they have coffee machines in the rooms. But I like coffee from a regular old fashioned machine. Again the spa is 5 star!

**Location & Surroundings:** Solage Hotel is nestled in a truly picturesque location. Surrounded by majestic mountains, the hotel offers breathtaking views that make you feel like you're in a serene mountain retreat. The nearby grapevine villages add to the charm, offering a glimpse into the local culture and vineyard lifestyle. It's a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts and those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. **Hotel Aesthetics:** The hotel's architecture and design are simply stunning. It's strategically positioned to take full advantage of the beautiful surroundings. The pool area is a highlight, with its inviting blue waters contrasting against the greenery of the landscape. The bars not only serve exceptional drinks but also provide a cozy atmosphere to unwind and soak in the natural beauty. The village-style adventure theme adds a unique touch to the overall experience. **Culinary Delights:** The food at Solage Hotel is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. Each meal is meticulously prepared, presented as if it were a piece of art. The chef's dedication is evident, and it's worth noting that they go the extra mile to cater to young guests, ensuring that even children enjoy a gourmet dining experience. **Special Touches:** One of the hotel's standout features is the flower shop experience. Every morning, guests have the delightful opportunity to create their own bouquets, adding a personal and fragrant touch to their stay. This thoughtful gesture truly enhances the overall ambiance. **Exceptional Bar Experience:** The hotel's bar is a must-visit. Offering a wide range of Mexican-inspired food, drinks, and appetizers, it's a gastronomic adventure in itself. What sets it apart even more is the multilingual manager, who ensures guests feel right at home. The staff's friendliness and attentiveness add to the overall exceptional experience. **Spa Disappointment:** While Solage Hotel excels in many aspects, the spa falls short of expectations. Despite its beautiful decor, it lacks attention to cleanliness. The changing rooms and steam room were not up to par, and hygiene seemed to be an issue. Multiple employees were seen tending to activities around the spa, possibly affecting the quality of service. This left a disappointing impression. **Communication and Expectations:** Effective communication is crucial when it comes to spa services. Guests should feel heard and understood, especially when they have specific preferences or requests. It's unfortunate that you had to exert significant effort to explain your needs, which should have been addressed more seamlessly. **Birthday Acknowledgment:** While the spa staff did offer champagne and wished you a happy birthday after your treatment, it's worth noting that not everyone may want alcohol as part of their celebration. It's important for spas to be sensitive to individual preferences and offer a range of celebratory options, such as non-alcoholic beverages or customized treatments. They charge me for for "Swedish massage" but therapist did 90 min of massage for my neck and shoulder not even back ? I got busy with the kids and I didn't pay attention for my charge I just realized after I came back home . Absolutely not professionally done from start to end !

**EXCEEDED expectations*** Simply cannot say enough positive!! They accommodated our group of 63 Corvettes on less then 2 weeks notice, and it was FLAWLESS! Food was amazing, service was top notch, the property and grounds were gorgeous and immaculately kept! They ensured our group/guests were kindly guided in to reserved parking spots that had been roped off, so our Corvettes could stay together for the most perfect photo opportunities. We were then greeted and given direction on either dining facility (which was accomplished for me in less then 2 weeks notice thanks to Yasmin Cosens and Sean Murphy tireless efforts. I did a few "rounds" to ensure all our group guests were smiling and pleased before I sat down to enjoy my lunch, and was extremely happy to find out anyone I asked within our group was more then pleased with our accommodations, prompt service, top notch treatment and amenities as a whole. I wish this would allow me to upload pictures, they created and event that will be talked about for years to come!

3-28-22 Only way to describe this place: stunningly beautiful. The grounds, pool, flaming fire places in several areas around the grounds. Everything exudes class and elegance as well as the price tag to stay. Very quiet just before 7 a.m. Except for a few employees we only saw a chipmunk. Very peaceful refuge to relax.

Suite 216. Oh how I loved Suite 216. Two giant bathtubs. Indoor and outdoor. Two gorgeous showers. Indoor and outdoor. An indoor fireplace and an outdoor fire pit. The fluffiest, best bed. Does everyone get a place this amazing here? The first night we soaked in our own private giant outdoor marble bathtub for two under shooting stars. One shot a curveball. Shooting stars can arc? Maybe, only at Solage. There was a huge cart of flowers at the entrance. For us to make bouquets to bring back to our rooms. Stop it. There were five, no six - no eight - pools and jacuzzis. Clean and illuminated at night. Jets for your feet and all parts of your back. A magnesium pool for your muscles. Smoothies ordered poolside under a sunny and cloudless blue sky. A visiting butterfly. There was a masseuse named Lorianne who took me to another world and a facialist named Michael with 21 years of experience. He taught me things. Everyone here wants to help you relax. Thank you. There was a restaurant on property that made it so that we would ever have to leave. And why would we? It was either in-room dining by our fireplace or at SolBar for three nights. No regrets. We needed to spa-nest. It was amazing every time. A delicious sparkling Phifer Pavitt at check-in, and if you're nice, also at check-out. Be nice.

If you come here with any jewelry, BEWARE. My family and I had been loyal guests of Solage for almost 15 years. 15! We even spent Christmas here the year my mom passed away. Over the summer, my Cartier bracelet was taken from my room and the hotel did NOTHING about it. They claim that they asked around and "no one saw it" so they couldn't prove anything therefore it would not be covered by their insurance policy and simply moved on. Imagine having multi-generational customers and writing them off just like that. I was hoping to come here with my kids someday and show them the beauty and tranquility of the property but all trust is gone now. What I'm most upset about is that they did not attempt to make it right or even offer to help partially replace my jewelry item. There was 0 accountability or remorse. They've lost my business and the business of my family members as well. The property has also gone downhill a bit and the last time we stayed here we noticed our sheets were yellowed as soon as we opened the bedspread. There was also a belligerent and drunk family at the pool shouting for hours and every single guest at the pool complained about them but the Picobar/pool manager didn't do anything about it. I even heard one guest mention they were leaving early due to the disturbance. Their kids were putting their mouths directly on the communal water cooler spouts and drinking from them (among other things).

Is there still construction going on here that others mentioned in their reviews?

Yes. Seems they're constructing a restaurant/bar area by the pool. Additionally, they're redoing several bungalows and perhaps creating a few more. We were there prior to Labor Day. There was some noise from tools and beeping machinery but nothing… Read more

As soon as we arrived, as we were getting out of our car, we were greeted by name by Chris, one of the two owners. He was so welcoming and friendly! He gave us a quick tour and helped us figure out how to use the Keurig. It was close enough to 5pm, so he whisked us away to the beautiful wrap around porch for the daily wine and cheese social. There we met Brent, his partner, who was equally as charming and funny. They were magnificent hosts throughout our stay! We only wish we had stayed on a weekend so that we could enjoy the luxurious brunch we had seen in photos. However, since we woke up on a weekday, we each received a $25 breakfast voucher to use at one of 3 local eateries. We opted for Bella Bakery on Lincoln. Thanks for the rec, Brent! It did not disappoint and those vouchers were plentiful. I also really appreciated the little details, like the complimentary water, the snack bags for the next day, and the toiletries in our bathroom. Perfectly fluffy beignets, a croque madame baked in a delicate crepe, and berries tossed in a spiced wine syrup with cinnamon and star anise. It honestly rivaled any restaurant brunch I've ever had. The big wraparound porch was our favorite spot to relax, whether sipping morning coffee or enjoying a glass of wine at sunset. The hotel is over 100 years old and it's maturity is part of its charm. There was some work being performed in a guestroom on the 2nd floor but they worked on it for short periods every day. Love the strategy. There is no insulation on guestroom doors so it's easy to hear conversations and heavy slamming doors. There is no elevator so the 2nd floor doesn't appear to be Accessible. There are rooms on the 1st level however. The jacuzzi was wonderful and hot Tuesday morning but lukewarm on Thursday morning. Front desk staff state every now and then a guest inadvertently turns it off, and did so Wednesday night by pressing the Emergency button (instead of the timer for the jets). Bummer. It took hours for it to reheat. Maybe a sign for the jets could discourage that from happening again. Check In & Staff: Male staff were friendly and helpful - especially Manny!! The hotel does have a luggage cart but it won't help those staying on the 2nd floor since there is no elevator. However 2 of the guys volunteered to follow me outside to the car to retrieve my luggage. Soooo much appreciated! They not only carried them upstairs to my room but came back to carry them again when I relocated to a different room. They wouldn't even except a tip! Thanks guys! My heros. Other staff: The female staff at the front desk wasn't as friendly but maybe she had an off couple days. No eye contact, acknowledgement, or smile. She did engage however when spoken to. All other staff - housekeeping (especially), maintenance, painters, etc., were genuinely friendly and helpful. It made my stay relaxing which was much needed! Thanks again. Breakfast: Staff prepare a daily breakfast tray that's delivered to each room at your preferred time. Breakfast consisted of FRESH and DELICIOUS breads, lemon cake, a tangerine, and a warm pot of mild-blend coffee. Room: Towels were fluffy, soft, good-smelling, and appeared new! The linen and robes were fresh and clean. The room was well furnished and the environment inviting. The bed was on the firm side but was very comfortable. I had to remember not to sit on the edge too long though because the ribbing on the edge of the mattress hurt. There was no bottled water in the room but there was a carafe to be filled with ice/water at the Hydration Station located on the 1st floor. It would have been nice to have a Station upstairs too or bottles of water for upstairs guests. Having a mini fridge and safe in the room was a nice touch. A microwave somewhere for guests (use) would have been nice for reheating leftovers. Window screens would have been nice to enjoy fresh air in the room without bugs. Bathtub stopper should probably be replaced because it was old, discolored, and soiled. Bathroom walls could use a little touch-up paint but none of those issues were big deal breakers for me. The things that could have definitely been better in the room were the loud bathroom fan (and the inability to turn it off independently from the light switch) and the hum from the mini fridge. The fridge clicks on/off 24/7, and at night when its quiet the hum is annoying. Glad I brought adapters for electronics since there are standard electrical outlets only, and no place to plug in USB cords. Check Out: Payment for your room is deducted from your credit card at the beginning of your stay when you check in. To check out you can drop your room keys in the box at the front desk. I chose to wait (10 minutes) for staff to return to the desk for a receipt. Value: I didn't visit the hotel spa this visit. However even with the Spring Special the hotel seems a bit overpriced, and without the spa is probably closer to a 3-star hotel. Caveat though is that everything in Calistoga appears to be overpriced - after all it's a resort town. Love the peace and tranquility though. Overall a really nice stay and I definitely recommend.

The request was granted without issue. HOTEL: Mount View Hotel and Spa is a Mission Revival style boutique hotel and historical Landmark nestled in the heart of Calistoga. No onsite parking lot; however, we were able to easily find free parking nearby. Upon entry, visitors are greeted by the warmth of the inviting lobby and vibrance from its eccentric interiors. With peppy Art Deco décor and furnishings, the inn boasts a charming ambiance that takes guests back to the 1920's and 1930's era. We stayed on the second floor in Room 221, a chic bedchamber with nods to the early 20th century, furnished with a high-quality, comfortable bed, flat-screen television, espresso machine, fridge, and glassware for self-catering. HOTEL SERVICE: The front desk staff, especially Manny, was extremely friendly and helpful. One night, when I couldn't find unmetered parking, Manny assured me that parking overnight in the metered spaces along the front of the hotel on Lincoln Avenue would not trigger a citation, even during the metered times. Seeing that I was apprehensive to do this, he promised to cover the cost of a parking ticket, if I would receive one. He was right; the timed metered parking was not enforced the next day. The complimentary light coffeehouse-style continental breakfast with fresh coffee, tea, fruit, juice and pastries, delivered directly to our room each morning was also very nice. TRUE SPA CALISTOGA: The whimsical accoutrements continue in the spa. No showers, but small, private lockers with robes and slippers are assigned to each patron. Since we were staying at a spa hotel, we booked appointments for restorative spa experiences, for Thursday, the 22nd, at 2:00 PM. It was very convenient to stumble downstairs for facials and revitalizing body treatments + massages. Our appointments were for the Detox + Glow (90MIN) (BODY THERAPIES) package, a relaxing combination of upper body massage (neck, arms, and shoulders) paired with a facial focus using Blue Beautifly Organic Skincare alongside the Bentonite Clay Mud Mask to nourish the body and skin head to toe. 90 minutes for $280 included a fully body massage. I was assigned to technician Rosa Cisneros who was very nice. The sessions were soothing and relaxing; however, Mom and I were confused at the conclusion, thinking that we were still to receive a full body mud mask or wrap, as per the description of the Detox + Glow package. Due to no mud mask, we were given a 15% discount. VERDICT: Mount View Hotel & Spa is a charming establishment and perfect place to slow down time and enjoy a respite.

They have free bikes on the property, but boy are they weird! I think I might've been nine years old when I've used handlebars like that.

When we first arrived, we drove through a bridge and then we were surrounded by planted gardens and fruit trees with a few chairs and tables spaced apart. We called Kurt and he came right away to help us, directed us to a good parking spot, and then showed us around. We arrived around 10:00AM and it was still quiet with only one other couple by the pool. Kurt showed us where the switches for the hot tub jets were, the switch for the sauna, towels, bathroom, water, etc. The rest of the day was extremely relaxing. People slowly trickled in and seemed to hit peak occupancy around 1:00PM. There were beautiful views of the hillside and trees. Everything clean and neat. Plentiful umbrellas for shade. A quiet atmosphere with friendly conversations. There were always lounge chairs to choose from. I loved the layout of the place. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were all spacious and never felt crowded. Around 6:00PM the pool area starts emptying out, and weather quickly gets cooler. I'd recommend bringing a cooler with drinks and snacks to maximize your relaxation time. An amazing place to be and we'll definitely be back whenever we need to let go of any stress.

The floors in our room were not even but seemed like the threw cheap carpet over uneven flooring. I was not impressed, and the place isn't cheap. Maybe if we were able to spend more time and were able to experience more of the grounds and what the place had to offer. But it's a place where I've seen and feel like I don't need to go back. Cute area. Lots to do around there. But the place itself is lacking.

When you enter the hotel room, you enter a separate sitting room which has a big table and a booth with an entry way into the main bedroom area. It might be nicer if the room had more lounging space, and I would have appreciated a couch for more of a hang out area. The hotel provided a small snack (popcorn) and refillable water bottles, and there was a hot water kettle and pour-over coffee carafe. The bed was comfortable, but the shower left a little to be desired as the water pressure was low, making it hard to get all of my hair wet. I believed that we were staying in the older part of the motel facing the road so it wasn't particularly scenic. There are natural mineral hot springs pools, an area for adults and two pools and a hot tub for families. It was great to have these lovely mineral pools on property which were open from 8a to 10p. Front desk service was very friendly.

The marketing for this place is really well done, pictures show a large courtyard, seating area to hang out, and big rooms, but unfortunately this was a little deceiving. Long of the short: This is an overpriced small but pleasant motel with cute rooms, newish steam and sauna and a mediocre spa and pool. Everything here is nice, but this is not upscale nor a "boutique" experience as advertised. I caution against paying-up for these rooms or expecting anything resort-like. This is simply a good, clean place when staying in Calistoga, and a short walk to the downtown area. If the rates were lower with accurate advertising I would be happy to stay here. The positives were the newish steam room and sauna, both are very clean and in great shape and with quality towels available. The pool and spa were clean, and both heated by the pumped in underground hot springs which is soothing, however in need of new tile and/or an update. Plastic lounge chairs and tables are on the pool deck. The rooms were updated with decent sheets, cute bathrooms and include a balcony or patio, albeit with cheap plastic chairs. Staff was pleasant and I loved the calm vibe, but please note (like in other reviews) that you need to request a room away from the main road if you are looking for a quiet rest, otherwise you will hear some traffic. Due to the overly inflated rates I would not stay here again, but if the prices reflected the property, it could be a decent vacation in the Calistoga area.
