This is a true and honest review of how fantastic this emergency center is. We went because it was close to home and convenient, but the first impression was wow it feels clean and safe, and second was being met with the KINDEST staff. They offered my husband with a hurt foot a wheelchair before we stepped through the door (they saw him limping from the car and walked out to greet us). We didn't have to wait at all for him to be seen. When he went back for x rays I noticed while in the waiting room their kindness towards everyone that walked in. A young kid walled in with a bloody hand and they got him strait to the back to get bandaged up, etc. When I asked if I could go back and sit with my husband, they found me a chair (bc they were in the middle of cleaning and their normal guest chairs were damp- great sign of cleanliness!) and called me back (they could have just said no). The nurse and dr were so kind and thorough, and talked to us both like we were people. They gave him a boot so he could walk which immensely improved his injury in the days following. It's not often you leave urgent care feeling like your loved one felt safe and taken care of, or confident they had the treatment and proper care provided. We felt so relieved and grateful when we walked out. Hoping not to be back anytime soon :) but I will only ever go here for any urgent care needs. I can't recommend enough. read more

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a medical clinic. I had talked to a 24 hour doctor line who advised that I go to the emergency room due to the seriousness of my symptoms. Unfortunately I arrived at a shift switch, so the nurse who help me originally left. The nurse and doctor who I saw were rude, dismissive and flippant. I had been vomiting and had a high fever and the doctor insinuated it was from taking Advil or one glass of wine I had had 5 days ago. I was freezing and shivering and when I asked the nurse for a blanket he laughed. He literally laughed and said "nope". I wish I was making this up. There was zero compassion and I will never go back here again. It's unfortunate because a few years ago I received treatment here and it was so much better. read more

Doctor parrus and the nurses at Austin emergency center were great and took real good care of me. They are all awesome definitely recommend!

BE AWARE! Their Doctors DO NOT check your chart for medications~ I visited Austin Emergency Center recently and was impressed with the initial facility and customer service. I learned they DO NOT accept Medicare or any supplemental insurance, however was feeling so bad - I decided to pay out of pocket versus look for an alternative. When taken to the room, I documented clearly with the nurse several medical conditions I currently have - a Dr. Richard Mendelssohn. Dr. Mendelssohn performed a thorough examine and gave me three prescriptions to take to my pharmacy. I took my prescriptions to my pharmacy late...pharmacy called the next morning to make me aware prescriptions were counter active to current medications I am taking. I contacted Austin Emergency Center to let them know of the oversight - "Mark" answered and transferred me to another doctor, as Dr. Mendelssohn left. Again, this Doctor prescribed additional medication to replace the other - WITHOUT CHECKING MY CHART! Medication was counter reactive to my heart medications and depression medication.......WOW! again??? When I called back for the third time on this matter I was upset - "Mark" answered the phone and lectured me on how "not to talk to him". I was stern, direct in my delivery, thus far, an untreated patient, not feeling well and trying to get meds. At this point, their customer service was None-existent. Left a message for the Facility Director, Ms. Michelle Treble - it has been approximately 2 hours and no return call. Timing and diffusing is critical when dealing with any customer! My disappointment is huge....will never go back.....please stay safe! read more

From the moment I walked into Austin Emergency Center, Lauren the admissions rep was simply amazing. Dr. Johnson was patient, caring, kind, and very professional. This urgent care in Austin Texas has treated me better than any care facility that I've gone to in Texas thus far. Dr. Johnson explained everything very well without me asking, while also making sure from beginning to end he did everything he needed to do to make sure my health and needs were put first. For the first time in a long time I felt seen and heard by my care staff. Nurse Emily gave me clear guidance and instructions on what I needed to do to care for myself after the visit as well as giving me a warm blanket or checking on me while I waited for my results. During my CT scan, tech Mitch was very kind and caring and always checked to make sure I was ok and comfortable. My visit was fast, friendly, and unforgettable. Thank y'all for all that you do! This place is fraudulent and stuff here does not have your best interests in mind. Me and my boyfriend drove by for COVID testing August 19, 2021. First time my boyfriend was here it was drive through. This time when we both came by we were invited to come inside, which was weird, but we thought that they have some changes in their COVID testing procedure, so we did. We were put in the room and we waited for a long time. Then doctor came by and I told her that we were here only for COVID drive through testing and asked what all this about? Female doctor interrogated us and made us feel very uncomfortable. We were super confused at this point. I told my boyfriend this people are trying to scam us and will probably will try to make it look like a doctor's visit. And sure thing, few weeks later both of us received charges as emergency room visit at amount of $2,337.57!!! That we of course complained about and this medical facility told us that it was their system error? What a lame excuse, you people are scammers! How can sick people come to this medical facility and intrust their health to such greedy liars like y'all? Stay away from this place! read more

Just had a wonderful experience at AEC for a Covid test. The phone number to call was clearly posted outside, and our wait time was only about 15 minutes. All of the staff was extremely helpful and friendly! Would definitely recommend this location. read more

I've passed Austin Emergency Center many times, but never had a reason to go in. I had not been feeling well all week. Allergies had turned into a respiratory issue, and then on Friday night my head began to throb. I realized the signs of a sinus infection. I knew I couldn't wait until Monday to see my GP. So I went to Austin Emergency Center. Lynn was at admissions and answered all of my questions concerning insurance, etc. Mitch, the radiology tech, took me back to the exam room and took my vitals. Very personable, was not hurried, chatted, etc. Dr. Roland came in, listened to my ailments, asked me some good questions, listened to the answers, etc. again, not hurried, gave me personal attention. He them prescribed the medication that will allow me to get better. Emily, the nurse, followed up with the medications Dr. Roland prescribe. She went over each medication with me and answered all my questions. If you are unable to get to your GP within a reasonable amount of time, but feel you need immediate treatment, I would urge you to go to Austin Emergency Center. read more

I was in a very stressful place in my life and one night I fainted and fell on my face onto the bathroom tiles. The impact led to two seizures, an overnight stay at Austin Emergency Center Mueller, and a concussion. The doctors and nurses at the place were absolutely wonderful to both my husband and I (he was very stressed at the whole situation) and so incredibly thorough. I had a CAT scan and felt so well taken care of. It was a relief to get such incredible care in an emergency. My husband and I are so grateful for the quality of care and the kindness they all showed to us that night. They also gave me a doctor's note which really saved my life as there was no way I could have worked those next couple of days, but at the time I wasn't even in a position to know to ask for one (was still a little woozy). They gave my husband a cold press to help him feel better during this period as he waited for me there to get discharged. read more

They refused to tell me what my copay was and then charged me $150 when I walked out. The nurse didn't listen to my lungs at all and the doctor barely did even though I was there for difficulty breathing. Then they refilled my inhaler like I asked but when I went to fill it H-E-B said Austin emergency canceled my prescriptions. Not even sure how this place is open. Two thumbs down. read more

I was referred here because they were supposed to have good service. We waited over three hours in our car for my son to have his COVID-19 test. We had an entire football team needed to be tested and everyone has received the results as of today. We still do not have ours!! No one will answer the phone at this clinic. The service is terrible. And obviously their test results come back very slow. Do not go here! read more

Don't come here. They took 8 whole days to get my COVID test back and that's because I had to call them 5 times until someone finally decided to look my name up and give me my results. They have no organization to their testing and admitted to my roommate that they test and call people at random with their results. I don't recommend coming to get your COVID testing done here read more

My boyfriend had recently been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID, panicking we went straight to AEC since he's been treated there before and staff are always wonderful. We arrived and the instructions where very clear and easy to follow. All the nurses and doctors were very friendly and comforting in a very stressful situation. They called us when it was our time to get tested and the nurse calmed me down during the swab. So thankful to have chosen AEC on Muller will ser be going back every time. read more

Stitches they put in fell out after one day. Dont go there if you need real medical care. They can't even do simple basics like stitches correctly. What a waste of time & money! I'll never go there again. read more

Incredible service and no wait whatsoever. Rebecca, Diane and Dr. Linklater were all extremely helpful and assisted my mother when she was in severe pain. This was the best experience I've ever had at an ER. Quiet atmosphere, and very clean to top it off. I definitely recommend this facility. read more
