One thing I really appreciated was that they identified a honey bee colony on my property. Instead of simply treating it, they let me know so I could have the bees safely rehomed before they started producing honey inside my walls. That level of care and attention really stood out. The quarterly exterior treatments have been well worth it for me. Wasps and ants are a recurring issue around my home, so keeping up with regular service has made a big difference. If I have a specific problem between visits, like a wasp nest, they're quick to come out and take care of it. Most of what I need is included in the annual service. Mosquito treatment is an additional charge, but that's separate from the standard plan. I also appreciate that they don't push unnecessary interior treatments when there aren't any issues. Their pricing is competitive, and their payment and scheduling system is excellent. It's easy to manage appointments, and they're very responsive by text whenever I have a question or need service. Overall, I've been very happy with Atex and would definitely recommend them.

He figured out that the garage doors had small openings where critters can get in, so those will be sealed up when techinicians arrive this morning. He then went the extra mile to measure everything and give us a bid on termite control. You guys are the best!

I'm trying to understand why my experience is so different from these 5 star reviews…read more. After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter) which affects the bait being used, but they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

Instead we got to meet Daniel. Daniel inspected our home from top to bottom, every nook and crack and produced a highly detailed report of his findings. He took the time to walk us around the house explaining each part. Any time we had a question he stopped, listened intently, and then explained every item to us. We had a mixture of squirrels using our attic as their nut storage area and at least one rat using the garage to avoid the elements. We told Daniel that we wanted to avoid hurting the animals and that we also have pets we wanted to ensure were not affected. Daniel placed a one-way exit into one of the areas the squirrel had been using and he fixed up the garage doors to close the areas by the door that the rat had been using. Daniel also closed up a lot of areas all around the roof including various vents, eaves, etc/all. I cannot even count all the places but it was a lot. The materials used were all top notch. While he did set out traps in the garage we were fortunate that the rat ended up on the outside after the sealing of the garage. The squirrels left the attic and daniel then removed the one way exit after it was clear that no squirrels were left. Daniel came to our house probably 10+ times over the course of treatment, each time he provided us a detailed written report of the actions he took. He took the time to explain what he did, how things were progressing, shared pictures of the work, pictures of the exit system and how he was able to determine that they had used the exit gate to leave, etc/all. This is by far the best service we have ever had from any company on our house and we have had a lot of companies for a lot of items in the past 30 years. Daniel, and Centurian, are just awesome and worth every penny. All problems were completely solved and no tails were hurt in the process. Just a great company.

Not sure if they're more meant for trapping larger animals such as raccoons and skunks, but they couldn't solve our rat problem after a year of work. Would look forward to them helping to finish off the problem for good. I think at this point we would need drywall removal to get to the heart of the problem and it may be that they don't go that deep into a project?

Living in the Long Canyon area means I'm basically a high-end squatter in the middle of the woods, and apparently, I'm "invading" the local wildlife's favorite real estate. For nearly six years, Gary has been my primary peacekeeper. He is a rare breed himself: part master investigator, part roofing/construction expert, and 100% perfectionist. He doesn't just show up on time; he makes the right assessment the first time and handles the problem humanely and comprehensively. Honestly, why would you trust anyone else with your uninvited houseguests? If you're dealing with critters in Austin, Gary is the only name you need to know. My attic--and my sanity--thank him!

On a FREE inspection Gary found where the likely entryway was (broken siding under an eave that I hadn't noticed). Gary covered it with duct tape. And provided next step instructions on how to take care of it myself, or a VERY fair estimate on how much he would charge to patch it up once we knew the animal was evicted. I ended up taking care of it myself through Gary's advice, only because it was a safer part of our steep 2 story roof. I have now solved the problem with only the cost of a strong roofing adhesive and used some spare flashing I had laying around. I know 100% who I'm reaching out to next time a critter decides to enjoy my attic. Thank you Gary!
