The floating experience is AMAZING ~ especially if you have aching joints and bones like I do. I have psoriatic arthritis, and floating feels incredible on my body. It's such a relaxing experience and gives me a chance to completely unwind. After your session, you can shower and then relax in their lounge area. They have an oxygen bar, coloring books, journals, tea, and water available, and there's no time limit, so you can take your time and enjoy the space. They also have a separate area stocked with hygiene essentials, hair dryers, straighteners, and other little things you may need. The entire place is incredibly clean, peaceful, and relaxing. True Rest is one of the very few places in the Austin area that offers float therapy. As a first-timer and now a member, each float benefited me personally with relaxed muscles, soothed joints, and therapeutic sleep. Working at a desk job all week tenses my shoulders and back. It's uncomfortable and stresses me out. But I've felt rejuvenated after each float session. I like to compare it to an experience at the chiropractor, but without the cracking of the spine or neck. The magnesium in the 1,000 lbs of epsom salt in the float pod naturally decompresses my spine, which in turn relaxes my muscles. I'm often in such a relaxed state that I fall asleep while floating, which I hear is the optimal state for a float. Each float pod is in its own private room, and there's a shower with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash to wash off all the resaltan afterwards. They also have a free oxygen bar after floating, and a delicious sweet, Egyptian Licorice tea that I like to drink afterwards. They have a get-ready room for anyone needing to go to a function afterwards, and their restrooms are always kept clean and well-stocked. I have also used their vitality suite, which offers a Norwegian sauna, red light therapy, and a cold plunge. I take advantage of all 3 during my sessions and I've been satisfied with the benefits that come from pairing all 3 together. I think a membership there is worth it as it really cuts down the per session cost. That said, I go weekly that serves as my end-of-week reset before the next work week starts.

The women at the front desk were friendly, welcoming, and informative. The spa slippers, robes, and lockers were all very convenient. I also appreciated how well-stocked the locker room was with large towels, tampons, shower caps, combs, hairbrushes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, blow dryers, changing areas, showers with body wash, and other essentials. The only thing I think they could add is small hand towels for guests who may need them. We really enjoyed all of the spa amenities, including the relaxation lounge, pool, jacuzzi, and both steam rooms. The massages were relaxing, the warm Himalayan salt stones were absolutely AMAZING, and the soothing music created a peaceful atmosphere. I also loved that the relaxation lounge had comfortable areas where you could even take a nap. The reason I'm giving four instead of five stars is because of a few service issues. Although our massages were scheduled for 2:00 p.m., we weren't taken back until well after our appointment time. We also weren't given the opportunity to choose our preferred massage oil because the selection wasn't fully stocked. My massage therapist asked about my problem areas but didn't focus on the areas I mentioned. Finally, it didn't feel like we received the full 50-minute massage. By the time we returned to the locker room, it was 2:55 p.m., even though we weren't taken back until after 2:00 p.m. The setup process--including selecting oils, getting settled on the table, and preparing the warm towels--also took about 10-15 minutes, which seemed to cut into our massage time. Would we return? Absolutely! Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back. Next time, we'd probably try different massage therapists, explore other massage options, choose different oils, and add a few more enhancements to make the experience even better. Forgot to add... I definitely recommend visiting on a weekday for lighter traffic, easier parking, and better pricing. We went on a Thursday, and it was perfect--we were able to enjoy all the amenities without having to wait for anything. Since we had dinner reservations afterward, we didn't get a chance to try any of the food or drinks. However, we did appreciate the complimentary water available in both the relaxation lounge and the jacuzzi area. Keep in mind that the jacuzzi area is shared with all spa guests, so be sure to bring a swimsuit, coverups, wear your robes, or other appropriate attire. Overall, it was a great experience. Enjoy!

No 'pods' where cold air seeps in which means you stay warm throughout the float. We lounged in our robes as we waited for our services to begin which was right on time. I had the body scrub and massage 1st and 2nd. Leo do both of those services and he was fantastic. He gave me a deep tissue massage which I needed for my muscles to relax. It was great and my body felt like butter afterwards. He was very kind and attentive to my needs. After that I had a facial which made my skin look 20 years younger and healthy. After that we got to lounge drinking mimosas, tea, water or coffee and then got whisked away to relax in the salt cave. Both my friend and I felt lighter and relieved of any stress we had. Then we got a meal that we chose off the menu. It was a half day of pampering and didn't want to leave. I didn't take any pics as I locked our phones away so we could truely relax. Tip: arrive early at least 30 mins to fill out paperwork and change and get a little relax time.
