The chicken was shredded and could've used a little more seasoning for my taste. I'm also not a huge fan of lettuce in a burrito, so that may have played a part in it not being my favorite. That being said, I'm definitely coming back because those tacos were SO good. Next time, I want to give the burrito another shot and order it my way. They're also very quick to get the food out, and the seating area is outdoors but has fans in some spots.

All of these specific tacos were priced between $6 and $6.75 per taco, not bad in Austin, and not bad considering the quality of said tacos. As you can see from my order, I opted on the more "novel" choices and they did not disappoint; that said, I do HIGHLY recommend the two variations of the migas taco and the shrimp macha taco. Oh, the shrimp macha was so FIRE, the flavors were bold and smoky with a kiss of heat. The migas tacos were FULLY LOADED, and the scramble with the tortilla chips were flavorul. TIP: They will ask corn or flour --- do flour. Everything is handmade, but those corn tortillas fall apart with all the sauce. Flour = durable and flavorful. I had plans, but the Universe had other plans for me that were superior. Try Veracruz All Natural --- and if your limited on $$$, you can snag 3 EXCEPTIONAL LOADED TACOS for about $20, that you will not find anywhere else!

The tacos were absolutely amazing...Moroccan spiced lamb taco, rib eye barbacoa taco, and pork belly pastor taco. Fantastic but deserts were mediocre and the southern donut dish was gooey and bland and the orange tres leche cake was just a dry cupcake with a little whip cream on the side. I only gave them two stars because I ate there while staying at the Hilton on a Tuesday and they are open until 1:30 am. I decided to eat there again on Wednesday and they closed three hours early and with no warning because they were slow. Pissed me off. If you have hours, stick to them and don't just arbitrarily change them. read more

Got here after a long day of work and I'm glad. This place was awesome, the design and style of this place was neatly modern and the food was even better. We left our food and drink choices up to our sweet bartender, Briana, whom by the way I think is impeccable... Needless to say, she did an outstanding job. And, as with President's House, it's respectable by hotel dining standards. I stopped by for breakfast on my last day in town and was seated promptly. After considering the assortment of omelets, sandwiches, and other fare (including, surprisingly shakshuka), I opted for the migas tacos. They came filled with beef, eggs, jalapenos, pico de gallo, and cheese, and they were paired with potato wedges. The tacos were definitely a knife-and-fork rather than a handheld affair, and they delivered all the right flavor notes. The accompanying potatoes were well-seasoned and perfectly crisp. All told, it made for a salty but satisfying and filling meal.

The bar had a terrific selection of liquor as well. There is very comfortable seating in the area, with small tables each surrounded by four cushioned chairs. There is also a long high top. Additionally, the bar counter is very long, accommodating many patrons. The bar area is open until midnight. The restaurant has hours set for each of the three standard meals of the day. At both breakfast and dinner, the service was terrific. The server was attentive to us, keeping an eye on our drinks, not disturbing our conversations, and ensuring our needs were met. For breakfast I ordered the crispy French toast, but unfortunately, I was not a fan. My server offered to bring me something else to replace it, but the coffee I drank and the beautiful fruit on the plate got me through enough. My companions enjoyed the pancakes, folk yolk sandwich, and the avocado toast. At dinner, the NY Strip was tender and cooked perfectly with delicious fingerling potatoes. The bone marrow was a great experience to try too. Overall, both the Capital A bar and restaurant are top notch!

Two words. Girl dinner. Espresso martinis and truffle fries…read more 10/10 absolutely you need to try both immediately. I've gone two years in a row for a work conference and the way I plan time around those espresso martinis and truffle fries. I'm not even kidding. It's reasonably priced, nicely laid out, and a great location if you are doing anything near the capitol building.
