Santa Fe Chicken - $21 lol
    Sterling H.

Overpriced and lacking flavor. Did I mention overpriced? Options are limited in Gardner but go elsewhere. Picture is the Santa Fe Chicken. Price? $21. Thin chicken breast covered in cheese and tomatoes, scoop of rice, and broccoli. Yep, $21.

These are the street tacos. I ordered two chicken and one steak. They were excellent. Very tender.

Excellent service and very good food. On one day I had the street tacos (posted photo) and another day I had the steak sandwich. Both weee excellent. I recommend the street Tao is over the steak. But you decide. Try both.

Austin's is a pretty neat restaurant/bar with a ton of TV's to watch sporting events and games to play. Our server was great. Super friendly and always made sure our group had what we needed. The manager even came by to chat us up and to see if there was anything she could do for our table. I got the beef sliders which were cooked to perfectly! The sliders had plenty of flavor! I really enjoyed them putting lettuce and pickles on the side. I also got the chicken fingers and Parmesan fries. The chicken fingers were covered in a spicy seasoning which was awesome! Chicken was cooked perfectly as well. The chicken was moist and crispy all at the same time. Mixing them with ranch and buffalo sauce was a slam dunk! Austin's is a great place to hang out with great prices! Go and check them out for yourself!

They have everything a sports bar should have - plenty of TVs, a spacious bar, background music, daily food specials, daily drink specials, a happy hour, a patio, a game room, a nice atmosphere, and good service. My pulled pork sandwich with baked beans, slaw, and choice of fries (including sweet potato fries with no up-charge) was served in 12 minutes, and was a great deal at $8 (Sunday lunch special). The portion sizes were generous (too generous on the fries), and the pulled pork was moist and tasty with very good beans. The service was attentive, a manager stopped by to make sure everything was okay, and an employee was making sure everything in the dining area and game room was spotless. The music was a bit too loud for lunch, and the server could have been cheerful, but overall very nice!

Good food and good service. Liked the burgers. Plenty to eat and the fried pickles for an appetizer we some of the best I have had.

The place is decorated really cool with a front patio & open garage door windows with cool lighting inside. Tons of TVs and a huge bar! The good stops there. The margarita was way too sweet but the canned Nutrl peach seltzer was good. The chips & salsa & queso took 25 minutes to come out, I figured they'd forgotten and almost wished i hadn't ordered them. The muscly bartender guy was nice enough but a big air head bc he forgot the guy's drinks beside me 2x... and it wasn't even busy, maybe 25 people in the whole place. Worst part was that they added 20% gratuity automatically but didn't tell me! I was ready to go & he took forever so I just handed him my card. He returned just the signature slip & I signed it but also asked for a copy for my expense report. Took 5 minutes for that & when I got it, I realized they added 20% gratuity, but yet the signature receipt didn't indicate that anywhere that tip was already added, so I accidentally tipped 50%! I didn't realize til I got back to my hotel & they didn't answer when I called back (it was 10pm). I was so mad, and when I called back the next day, the lady told me to call again around 4 & when I did, they didn't answer. Don't get fooled by this place -- check your receipts & don't bother with the food! And don't expect good service either.... OOOOOF.

Pretty good eats, great specials, and a full bar makes for a solid dining option for solos, couples, or families. You'll find Murphy's Corner nestled into a strip center facing 87th. The owner apparently did catering prior to opening this space and you can certainly tell with the food. The menu has lots of options, from standard pub fare to housemade pizza to some rather artisanal salads. I'd suggest the chicken sandwich, hand-breaded and fantastic. Or even the Hinkle, roast beef & thinly cut pork tenderloin with a sweet pepper aioli, is a fabulous sandwich. But don't miss that happy hour from 2:00-6:00 on weekdays. The smashburger special runs $6 for a single, and even that is a fair-sized burger, and maybe share a side with someone special. The smashed patty(s) come with the usual accoutrements, including a 'special sauce' that makes the smash a smash. Secret of the pros: get two patties, because it's worth the extra $3 and it's sensational. If there is any knock, then it might be the speed of service. Having stopped in several times, I don't think I have ever had the kind of turnaround that I can get many other places. But the food often makes it worth the wait, so I can only knock it for one star. Pricing is fair and certainly on the level with the area, parking is shared with other spots along the strip, and the atmosphere is wonderful. There are a TON of TVs in all directions, and you can even sit on the patio in nicer weather. It's a neighborhood spot with great food, great atmosphere, and great specials. Get there.

A religious leader in our group ordered a non-alcoholic beer (which is available), but the bartender was noticeably rude, giving him weird looks and a heavy attitude just for having to go find one. Prior to that, I called ahead to inquire about hosting a work event, and the employee on the phone was extremely dismissive and rude, stating they flat-out would not hold tables for 25-30 of us, even though they had held an area for another work group previously. On top of the poor customer service, the food is subpar compared to other options in the immediate area. Unless you are going specifically for giant wings, there are far better places nearby to spend your money. The only bright spot this location has going for it was the awesome music bingo, but otherwise, I'd suggest heading somewhere else in the neighborhood.
