We were looking forward to trying this place based on their online menu. Got there and expected a Moe's or Chipotle style ordering system and instead were told to order everything at the register (only 1 cashier) then take a seat. The menu board only gives names and the type of meat, we had to reference our phone to see the menu options. The line was long because it takes the cashier a long time to enter each order. I ordered the carnitas bowl #2, and my husband had a steak burrito. Both of our orders were made wrong, I was given chicken (#1) and my husband was given a burrito packed with everything he specifically said he didn't want. The queso was super thick and got cold really quick. Fail. The tea is orange flavored...meh. The best part was the seasoned chips. I was disappointed they didn't have nachos or quesadillas. If the order process were changed to select as you go, we would try this place again. read more

Coming from California we love our burritos, came here for the first time with family because of the reviews. At the register i asked the cashier if the steak burrito was Carne Asada but he didn't know neither the 2 in the kitchen until they made s phone call 15 minutes later they confirmed yes it was Carne Asada. So we started ordering , steak burritos and chicken burritos add ons upon add ons our order carne up to 50 something which i didn't mind if the food was good. So when our orders came the burritos weren't really what we expected, i paid 10 bucks for a burrito half the size of a California burrito that doesn't even cost 10 bucks. I know im not in Cali but a burrito should be a burrito, the size was not the only thing it was the how they rolled and wrap the burrito not all the way through with the tortilla. Anyways the meat and ingredients tasted good but not Mexican, the size for the price not so much. When you put up a sign next Mexican in front make sure it's Authentic Mexican. Nothing short of excellent!!! Excellent food! Excellent service! The location is less than ideal for us and we'll make the trip ANY day! We love the Chicken Fried burrito with all the fixin's (make sure to get the City Limit sauce added!!), but the queso!!! Still warm, creamy and delicious after the 30 minute drive home. And best chips around, hands down!! Thin and crispy from being made FRESH and dusted with a special flavor that makes them oh-so-addictive. But here's the thing....if you get anything less than excellent food and/or service, the owner wants to know! so he can make it right! Who does that these days??? GREAT local business!!! read more

LOVE Austin's Burritos!! We happened upon this spot and while doing a quick run into Publix - and so glad we did! We are huge Chipotle fans, but after visiting Austin's, we have a new favorite. I always get the Hill of Beans bowl with added corn and house salsa and cilantro. The portions are large and I usually make two meals out of my bowl. Matt, the owner, put a lot of thought and creativity into the design of the space and it shows. The restaurant is quite unique. If you haven't tried it you're missing out! read more

I love getting new restaurants in flowery branch. It feels almost like the town only has large chains. I came in for lunch to try it out. I ordered the steak roadie, diablo queso, and the rice and beans. The entire feel of the restaurant is laid back and casual. They are not chipotle and they are not moes comparing the two would be ridiculous. The roadie is a smaller version of their burritos mine was great! Not too dry and plenty of mixed filling. The queso is what you call REAL yes it gets a skin over the top of it if you don't touch it for 5 minutes cause that's what real cheese does. The rice and beans reminded me of my Salvadorian mother in laws rice and beans sooooo good. I was pretty impressed. The only complaint I was concerned with is that the manager was avoiding table touches ( comes and checks with the tables) but as I was typing the owner walked up and had a in depth conversation with me. I have eaten here twice now and loved it both times. The first time I got the smaller carnita burrito and it was so good. Everything is very fresh and looks and tastes great. The carnitas are amazing fall apart in your mouth good. The second time I got the bowl and it was even better than the first time. So glad they opened here. read more

I went in and noticed it was a half Mexican so I ordered a burrito called a Roadie. It was bland and I had to get sauce to give it some flavor. The thing that was bad.....the tortilla was soft, pasty and started to fall apart. Then I noticed I was getting tortilla pieces sticking to my teeth between my teeth and cheek. I have gone here about 5 times, and today will be the last. I've ordered a #1 Roadie Burrito every time I've gone, and the last time I was there (before today), my burrito was TINY (and they don't give you chips with your meal unless you ask first and pay $.75 -so I was starving). To avoid this from happening again, I ordered a regular #1 burrito and my mom got the #1 Roadie today. We got the same toppings on each burrito. When it was done, more than 5 minutes later (with us being the only customers), my mom's burrito was noticeably bigger than mine!!! My mom went to the front and showed the girl the size difference and she told my mom, "maybe unwrap it, and see how it looks then, and we can always replace it if it's still too small". Well, it looked the same when we unwrapped it (shocker), and we ended up just eating it, anyways. The girl never checked on us to see if we were satisfied, which we were not!! It was free Queso Monday, and we were highly disappointed because the queso was cafeteria-like and almost solidified while we sat there. Tasted bland and was a nasty consistency. The chips were cold and stale. The burritos fell apart (again), almost like the employees haven't been trained thoroughly. I'm really not trying to knock down a locally-owned business, but I've tried this place a few times now, and have seen truly NO improvement. It's sad. I would not recommend eating here. I am going back to Barberitos because it's much more consistent, tastes better, and is CHEAPER, too!! No wonder Barbs is ALWAYS busy (unlike Austin's)!!! And just a side note, I don't know how Austin's was voted Gwinnett's "Best Mexican Restaurant"! The heck!? read more

I live in Suwanee but will drive to Dacula to get their fresh salad with guacamole! The best!!!

I hesitate to leave this review because the Hamilton Mill/Dacula area is seriously lacking small business restaurants, but I was disappointed. I waited 30+ minutes for a roadie burrito with only 4 people in front of me and 6 employees working. Then my order was wrong on top of it all. If this place wants to keep up with surrounding restaurants, they need to speed up the process or hire people who act like they care. The line at Moes can be out the door and I wait less time than that. Food was good and I'm willing to try again and adjust my review if the service improves. read more

Ate at Austin's for the first time today and I can say we will definitely be back! Food was so fresh and had great flavor. Customer service is impeccable. The owner, Matt, came and talked with us at our table and was super friendly. He even gave us a burrito to take home and try for free.
