    Burnt empanada!
    Gena J.

Ordered takeout... my order was completely incorrect. I was supposed to have a meal with steak and shrimp and I got this meal with steak rice and beans... And it was awful! My chicken empanada was completely burnt! Complete waste of $$$!

Take out burritos are really authentic Mexican style. Service is ok, overall shop is a bit humble still.

This spot always hits. I drive an hour for them Quesabirria tacos. And the service is always nice very friendly.

Very good and consistent place for authentic Mexican food. Their steak nachos were super good as well as the steak tacos. The Birria tacos with consume are excellent.

Oh good lawd!! I just came from this place and got the same thing I had before and it was really hitting hard! We were trying to figure out which tacos I had the last time until I told her I had the consume' sauce last time. I hope I spelled that correctly. She said it was only one particular taco that came with that with 3 tacos. She then told me that they never had a chance to put it on the menu. So she did spell it for me and they are called quesabirria tacos. I enjoyed them just like last time. When I was there I caught a glimpse of those nachos they have and now I want to try those also. The Pineapple drink: Now that there was the TRUTH!! They have different flavors including cucumber and I think avocado amongst others. All I know is that they use real fruit. I don't know if they blending the fruit, adding water and a little sugar to it, that I don't know. I'll have to ask next time I go, if they even tell me. A large is $3.75. It's between 24 and 32 oz, I don't know exactly. All I know is that I had to save it for when I was done eating because I would have had to pay another $3.75 for another one. If you hadn't tried that drink yet, definitely try it when you go back next time!

I've officially eaten food from here twice. I first tried this spot earlier this year when my sister picked up a to-go order for me. I got the quesa birria tacos. I thought it was just okay. The consommé could have used a bit more flavor. I tried the tortilla chips and guacamole also. Chips were nice and crunchy, and I don't really like guacamole anymore, but this one was good. Today was my first in-person visit. It's located in the Liam Avenue plaza, that strip of restaurants/stores located behind Waffle House and El Jinete. The place is half restaurant and half market. I didn't go to the market side though. I called ahead to order, so my food was ready as soon as I got there. I got 3 carne asada tacos ($3.50 each) and a small horchata ($2.25). It came with the standard raw onions, cilantro, lime, and red and green salsa. I also wanted some cooked onions and peppers since I saw several photos on Google reviews of the sautéed onions and peppers on the side. When I asked for it, the lady said it only comes with the raw onion on it and that they had no peppers. Which I already knew...but I don't think she understood that I wanted it as an additional side, and she kinda brushed me off so that was disappointing. So I just left and took my to-go food home. The tacos were still nice and warm with a good flavor. Horchata was delish. I will be back. This is the only taqueria in Dacula, so it's literally the best you can get in the area.

Menudo - look at the richness of color (only available on weekends)

It's official, Dacula just got a very solid authentic Mexican joint. If you're idea of tacos is Taco Bell, this place is not for you. Two corn tortillas filled with delicious carne asada, al pastor, chicken, chorizo, or for the adventurous lengua (cow tongue) and cabeza (cow head). Topped off with raw onions, cilantro and served with a side of lime and salsa. True authentic street tacos. We ordered an al pastor, chorizo and lengua taco. All were solid. Also the carne asada burrito, very generous with the meat and delicious. Will definitely be getting some carne asada tacos here in the future. The real crown jewel though is the menudo. This soup is for the lovers of authentic Mexican cuisine and those that are adventurous with their food. I haven't had menudo this good since my last visit to Los Angeles. It's easily the best menudo OTP. You can tell a lot of love went into the making of it. There is a lot of richness and depth of flavor in the soup. You can taste the peppers, spices and beef bones that simmered to perfection over a long time to make the broth. The cow stomach was perfectly cooked, buttery soft but the snap still in tact. Add this to the tortillas to make your menudo tacos. My only gripe is that the menudo is not available everyday. Sadly it's only a Saturday and Sunday soup. I'll definitely be back to explore the rest of their menu.

What a surprise! When my husband told me he had the best Carne Asada tacos at this little market down the street I had my doubts. I hate to admit it but he was right! The Carne Asada was tender and perfectly seasoned! They also have burritos, Tortas and multiple other items on their menu. The Horchata and the fresh watermelon juice it was amazing ! One stop shop where are you can eat grab some groceries at the same time! Great service, great food, give them a try you won't be disappointed!

Located in the plaza off Liam near TradeWind Coffee. Plenty of parking available. Inside is a small food market with fresh veggies, spices, canned goods, and more. There is a few tables set up for dining. The food counter is straight ahead. They offer typical items of a taqueria such as tortas, tacos, and even fresh juices such as guava spinach and lime/cucumber. I had the quesabirria and it was delicious. Great portions of meat that is flavored well. A must-have in my opinion. Great new market in the area, especially if you needed quick veggies and didn't want to step into Kroger or Publix.

    Still drooling over the quesabirria

But it's usually a good time here, just not a great place to come if you don't like noise. The play the music really loud most of the time. Today i ordered from the specialty menu and they didn't put green bell peppers in my carnitas even though it is listed on the menu as bell peppers and onion. Also the slice of cheese was a lot smaller than i anticipated ( see photo ). If i would have known beforehand they called a sliver of cheese a slice i would have asked for queso as it needed a bit of something. The flavor was lacking i believe and the missing bell pepper just threw the meal off to me. I didn't say anything but they wanted to charge 2.50 more if i wanted a small side of cheese so i just said never mind and dealt with what i had. I guess i know not to come here when it isn't busy anymore... i felt like they gave us the food and forgot about us, the server was nice but it's annoying to have to ask for things more than once when they are not busy. I wont be coming back here for a while. Today, we were the only customers here besides one other couple on the other side of the restaurant.

I've been to this location a few times and 3 out of the 4 times was excellent. Love that they have a playground for the kids to play at, however, they require food to be a to go order. That said, DO NOT order the bulgolgi tacos at the outside bar. I thought I'd just get it in a to go box and could eat at their outside area but it was literally a bag of nachos with all the components in seperate containers. Ended up taking it home (it doesn't reheat well) Lastly, while the drinks at the bar were very well made and strong, the bartender was very inattentive and it took me several frustrating attempts to get his attention. Right next to it is a brewery/bar and it can tend to get super busy when that place is popping too. Inside of the restaurant is full of beautiful colors and great decor. We took an elevator to go upstairs in the patio area. There was TVs everywhere in sufficient air-conditioning in order for you to sit outside. The service was great. Our server definitely took care of us really well. The food was mid, it wasn't overpriced, I feel like it was priced average with all the other restaurants that I've been to. The flavor is a little on the bland side for my taste. The queso was a little watery. The Paloma was fabulous! You can definitely taste that they make the drinks with good ingredients. Overall, it's not gonna be my favorite place for flavor but for vibes only.
