Great food! Always served hot and fresh. It's usually really crowded and noisy here if you come during lunch or dinner rush. So loud that you can hardly hear the server or the person sitting next to you. They have live bands sometimes on weekends and special events. Service is kind of lacking during slow times and have to ask for items several times as the server forgets you are there. But it's usually a good time here, just not a great place to come if you don't like noise. The play the music really loud most of the time. Today i ordered from the specialty menu and they didn't put green bell peppers in my carnitas even though it is listed on the menu as bell peppers and onion. Also the slice of cheese was a lot smaller than i anticipated ( see photo ). If i would have known beforehand they called a sliver of cheese a slice i would have asked for queso as it needed a bit of something. The flavor was lacking i believe and the missing bell pepper just threw the meal off to me. I didn't say anything but they wanted to charge 2.50 more if i wanted a small side of cheese so i just said never mind and dealt with what i had. I guess i know not to come here when it isn't busy anymore... i felt like they gave us the food and forgot about us, the server was nice but it's annoying to have to ask for things more than once when they are not busy. I rarely leave negative reviews, and certainly don't make the effort to login to multiple platforms in order to do so, but this experience warrants passing along for the safety of future customers. Friday night I sat at a table with 9 other friends for dinner/music. Our checks were all inflated at the end of the night with drinks never ordered/served. We paid, thinking each of us were paying for the majority of our table... but discovered we were ALL overcharged. ****One person in our party became very ill after merely 3 beers, at 6'2" and 225lbs, had to be carried out and reports feeling drugged!**** Luckily, friends were around to quickly detect sickness and drive him home. We asked to review security footage from the night before and gave account of our night to the manager on duty Saturday morning. His lack of concern indicates a dangerously apathetic level of commitment to the safety of his patrons and the integrity of his staff. Police report is being filed, charges WILL be disputed and we will not return to Del Rio. Many friends and neighbors have come forward and reported nearly identical experiences; and one can only imagine how much worse this could have been if someone much smaller and/or alone had been the victim. The food was good. The service was mediocre (waitress forgot to bring my drink until my meal was half gone). But when it came time to pay the bill, There was a big problem. My tab came to $28. I put my card on top of the $28 tab waiting for her to bring the receipt so I could sign it and tip her. She comes back with my card, and a receipt for $35+ not what my bill was. I was encouraged to sign that one and provide a tip. I pointed out the error to her. She acted dumb at first but then she took it to the manager and got it voided out and brought me a bill for the original amount. It turns out she'd already charged my bank for both of these transactions. I ended up paying twice. The restaurant apologized said it was an accident but offered no help. When I insisted this was not right, the manager suggested I was being aggressive because I pointed out the clear wrong doing. He then accusing me of being out of control because I objected to their treatment. What legitimate organization charges your card before giving you the opportunity to sign and add a tip? I didn't believe their excuse, they were not busy and she didn't have enough tables to get confused and accidently charge me for a different table. But it was the "General Manager," who look like a kid. He said that he had credited the $35 and it'd be in my account tomorrow and Del Rio is not responsible for any possible overdraft amounts. Absolutely awful experience. This was one of the most unprofessional bars I've ever been to. The staff was incredibly rude from the moment we walked in, and customer service was nonexistent. At one point, our credit card was literally thrown back at us instead of being handed to us professionally, which was unbelievably disrespectful. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and the way some customers were treated left a very bad impression. The bar also appeared dirty and poorly maintained, which made me question the overall cleanliness of the establishment. To top it off, they weren't checking IDs consistently, which seemed incredibly irresponsible. Between the rude service, lack of professionalism, and overall negative experience, I won't be coming back and would not recommend this place to anyone. The woman that works the front and threw our credit card at us should NEVER be in a customer facing job. I do not write reviews, but be weary of this place ... TERRIBLE! This was my first (and last!) time visiting this lovely establishment. I was dining alone (hubby was traveling) so I sat at the bar. When I walked into the bar area it was hard not to notice a group of 5-6 very loud individuals on the one side of the bar so I went to the other side to create a little distance. As I sat down, one of the older gentlemen from the loud side of the bar approached me and in the slurring stumbling effort asked me if I was married. I quickly said yes in hopes that he would leave me alone. Then he proceeded to ask me why my husband was not with me. I ignored him and didn't make eye contact (not that he could see straight). He eventually went back to the other side of the bar but proceeded to harass me very loudly from across the bar. He approached me another time slurring "why are you mad at me?" I ordered hoping he would stop but he didn't. When I got my food I ate a small amount and asked for a container and the check. I can't even comment on the food because I didn't even get a chance to eat. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. The most disappointing part of this horrible dining experience is the bartender and owner did nothing aside from continuing to serve these individuals who were clearly over served. I should also point out that I arrived at the restaurant at 5:30pm so it's not like it was late. Sort of sad when the drunk and stupid have more rights than a civilized customer ... he should have been tossed out on his ass. I sure hope this man that couldn't form full sentences was not driving. Went friday night group of friends . After I ordered my 4 beer half way through I could barely stand or walk. Then the waitress overcharged about 80 dollars in drinks that we did not have. Other people at the table got charge for drinks they did not get. Went to management next morning told him what happened and had him pull the tapes to see who could have drugged me. Kind of hard to see because of half the table. Told me he would have her call me when she in at 4. Never got a call. But after talking to other friends and people who go there. Told me that 2 band members were drugged up there, few weeks ago. There is a creepy man that hangs out at the bar and stares at folks at night.,apparently he's a local....But I believe the police should investigate the fraud and drugging.. read more

My family and I have dined at Del Rio for years. Most of the time the service is good. The food is always delicious. This evening I placed a Togo order. The young guy that I spoke to seemed confused. I repeated my order three times. He read the order back to me. My husband picked up the order and it wasn't close to being right. I called back and spoke to the same guy. I explained that I was missing part of my order. I told him again three times what I needed. When I got back to the restaurant my order was ready. The problem is, wasn't what I ordered. I asked to speak to a manager. Kimberly came out and asked what was the problem. Again I explained what took place. She never offered an apology. I found her unprofessional and rude. After all that took place, one would think she would have comped the food. Or at least apologize. I have in my adult life worked In some type of customer service, including restaurants. I understand mistakes but I also understand the need to make things right! read more

We came in with 6 adults and a toddler. Our waitress was kind and took our orders promptly. This was early evening on a Saturday. We didn't have a wait and the servers put together several tables in the bar area for us to all sit together. I had the chicken soup and it was amazing!!!! Who knew to order chicken soup?? I have a gluten intolerance so I verified the soup and fish tacos were both something safe for me to eat ( they used soft corn tacos) . I ordered a frozen margarita . There was small, medium and large. I chose the medium and it was HUGE!! I can't imagine the large ! The staff here was really good and everyone seemed to enjoy the food. We will be back!! read more

Rating a little higher than I should but I think many of the 'bad' reviews are a bit unfair . . . Stopped by on a Friday night and was not disappointed. Hours - The website and info online says they close at 10pm on Friday but the place was packed after 10pm. Maybe the kitchen closes at 10pm. Live Band - was pretty awesome. Country music and it was good. People dancing and having a good time in the bar area. The dining area was quieter so you can enjoy a conversation while eating if you are in that area. Very well done balancing the music and dining area. Service was ok - it was busy but the servers had a lot of inefficiencies and forgot things, like water, silverware, drink refills, etc. Server and Menu both remind you that food can take some time to come out so please be patient. Nice touch but better to also check on the guests WHILE they wait. Food - La Lancha which is grilled chicken and shrimp, covered with cheese. Yeah it is as delicious as that sounds. HINT: get the cheese on the SIDE use it to dip the super amazing chips into instead of ordering the cheese dip. Plus you can control how much cheese you want on your meal. Perfect for the lactose intolerant . . . also get a side of the corn tortillas, it is perfection. The chicken is overcooked so you need cheese or salsa to eat it alone, the tortillas with avocado, lettuce, and whatever makes it delightful. Camaron Poblano Asada which is a poblano pepper filled with melted cheese, shrimp, mushrooms, pico de gallo, and chipotle sauce wrapped around carne asada steak. SPICY depending on the poblano pepper. The server will remind you too, which was nice. Ours was SPICY and it was delightful. the steak was a bit dry but spicy from the poblano so it was pretty good, even if you can't eat the pepper, its good. read more

This is our local Mexican close to home. We just moved back to Dacula and have been here several times in the past 3 months. Everything we have gotten has been good. I thought the pastor was a little boring but I just would not order it again. The steak here is very well seasoned. I also loved the steak wrapped Poblano pepper. This was such an amazing meal just typing it I want to eat it again. My usual go to is the fajitas. My son loves the nachos of any kind, especially the volcano ones (barbeque) and he usually gets tacos of some sort. Everything is good and service is good. Several things wrong here lately... First of all, if you pay your check with cash, don't expect to get the correct change back. Management supports servers rounding the amount of change they bring back and servers keeping coins. The manager justified this by saying that many servers don't bring in a bank. Not our problem. They charge a dollar each for the smallest sides of sour cream, tomatoes, and condiments I've ever seen. We ate there last week and ordered 20 wings. We got 18 on our plate. Not sure how tough it is to count wings when you're charging almost a dollar or more per wing. And when I called to speak to the manager about all of these issues, he interrupted me every time I took a breath to speak. I couldn't finish any of my sentences, and he justified every single one of these issues. If you choose to eat here, count your wings, count the change they bring back to you, and be careful of what you order. read more

Had to come back and update my review since I actually dined in this time instead of takeout, and had an amazing experience. This place is so close to my house and I will be visiting often. Prices are fair, portions are huge, drinks are strong, and food is good! We visited around lunch time so we ordered Steak Fajitas, and a speedy Gonzalez combo, pair with some Margaritas! They weren't as busy so service was fast. Although it took them some time to come take our order, after they got it, food came out pretty fast. Everything tasted fresh, and well seasoned. The place in general was super clean and I love their decorations. Everyone wore masks, and we felt safe! This one was a little tougher to rate, I've been coming here for years and they great for the most part; usually a 4-5 star overall, but I have to rate based on each visit. We ordered Cheese Dip w/ Chorizo, Veggie Burrito, Cheese Steak Burrito, Chorizo Taco Pros: Good atmosphere, and service, the beer is always cold and most of the time the food is some of the best Mexican food in the area. The Cheese Steak Burrito & Chorizo Taco were good, the cheese dip was good too but could have used a little more Choizo but that's probably more of a preference. Cons: I ordered the Veggie Burrito and was pretty disappointed. It was all onion & green pepper with a smattering of mushroom & squash; t was supposed to have spinach too (First Ingredient Listed), but they left that out. So, basically it was a meatless fajita burrito. This seems to be common when you order veggie anything at most Mexican restaurants, it usually comes out all onion and bell pepper. My score would be a 2 star for the burrito but 4 star for everything else so I gave them a 3 overall. I'll keep coming back because this place is very good! read more

Customer beware--do NOT order from here EVER! Choose any of the 10 other Mexican restaurants in the area. They don't receive what you put in through the app, and you'll end up with a completely wrong order. We placed an $80 order, and not only did they mess up our items, but they also gave us frozen roasted salsa TWICE. When we called to fix it, the manager, Jordan, hung up on us THREE times, and then insisted that "the cooks poured it fresh" even though it was clearly frozen. He offered to send us a video of the process but then backed out, and when we asked for a refund, he told us we'd have to come back for a THIRD time. The app is full of glitches, and their customer service is a joke. My family will NEVER be back, and the only reason this place isn't a complete disaster is because of Sonya--she's the only one who actually knows how to treat customers. First time here. March 7th. Sat at the bar and ordered wings. Wings were pretty good and the margaritas were good too. We were playing Keno and the bartenders were shorting the game wins.
