    OG Taco / Totchos
    Chandler P.

Strange Taco Bar gets a solid 3/5 from me... and honestly, that's on me. I walked in expecting the kind of tacos you'd get from a gas station taqueria with a lady pressing tortillas by hand and a salsa that could make you rethink your life choices. Instead, I got the $2 Taco Tuesday special and decided to "sample the classics"...chicken, ground beef, and pork. Big mistake. Each one was drier than a group text after a bad joke. I ended up baptizing them in verde and hot sauce just to make it through. Now, the Totchos... completely different story. Crispy, cheesy, loaded with flavor. If the tacos were a misstep, the Totchos were the redemption arc. That bowl alone almost saved the meal. The ambiance was chill though... relaxed vibe, clean tables, cold Coke Zero, and a playlist that made waiting out my food slump bearable. The staff were kind and easygoing, no rush, no attitude. Moral of the story: don't show up trying to recreate your abuela's kitchen when you're clearly in a modern taco bar with craft beer and mango jalapeño margaritas. I'll be back... next time for drinks and something truly "strange."

What a very interesting place oh and name. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. This was my first visit here and I was happy the menu was easy to understand. Although I'm not a taco girl this place was pretty good, with its unique twist on tacos. I ordered the San Antonio and the Al Pastor tacos and they had a pretty good taste to them. The tacos are small so you may want to order a few. We also ordered the street corn which has a unique flavor as well.

10/10! Staff was very friendly and even got to meet the new owner! Food was amazing and such a good variety to choose from. Good vibes all around!

Always a reliable preshow establishment befor a show at the Aurora! Quick service, delicious food and a chill vibe. Seating is inside or outside depending on the weather. Will be back before my next show!

Food was good 4/5. Service was fast, place was clean and nice setting. One thing sucked, the Guacamole was not good, the chips were nice and hot. Also the Nashville Hot chicken was not hot at all it was only honey sauce on it, what happened to the spice? I would return though, good cheap eats.

Came here for a quick bite and was not disappointed. The chips and queso were average, but the tacos were on point. I particularly liked the mushroom taco, although the buffalo taco was not bad either, but not as unique. Basically tasted like a buffalo chicken wrap you'd get at any sports bar. Service is standard fast casual. Inside there's a little spunk in the decor, but it basically feels like a fast casual place.

Love love love love this place! I came here on Taco Tuesday and loved the kind service and the easy sitting and menu. This place is very chill and easy going. The margaritas were just okay, but a great addition to the tacos. The tacos were definitely the STAR OF THE SHOW. My favorite was the taco Al pastor, the pineapple was the perfect addition to the taco and the shrimp taco was amazing. I was pleasantly surprised on the tastiness of the tacos with it only being $3. 10000/10

This place has been on my radar and I'm so glad I finally got a chance to try it! This is very similar in aesthetic to Velvet Taco so if you're a fan of non-authentic tacos you'd really enjoy this place. There is such a wide range of taco options ranging for pescatarian, vegetarian, and even some vegan options which is very commendable for a business. They're solid options too, not just bland boring options. Portabella Mushrooms 7/10 -- decided to try a veggie taco bc the description was just that enticing. I actually really enjoyed the taco and I loved the goat cheese edition. I could actually see myself trying this meatless option. Coconut Shrimp 8/10 -- cannot go wrong with a coconut shrimp option! The pineapples and sauce complimented the taco very well! Southern Pork 9/10 -- this was hands down my favorite taco! Perfect combination of sweet and spicy! Ordered a strawberry frozen margarita. Not strong at all but it was still pretty good to sip on, especially for $8. I think next time I come I'm going to try their 9% canned vodka for the same price.

Quick service. Great tacos. Strong, yummy margaritas. Cute little place with enough seating to eat in.

This is one of my favorite Taco Tuesday spots! $2 tacos are a hit! The OG Taco is my go to order.

My new fave taco spot! I've been twice since discovering this gem, and both experiences have been great! Tacos and margaritas were delish, and the service was good. Indoor and outdoor seating available, very chill!

Been by this place so many times and didn't realize it was even there. I finally decided to check it out. Like the name implies they have some unusual tacos. I had the Buffalo chicken, steak and cheese, and fried green tomatoes tacos. I also ordered the chips and queso. Overall everything was tasty. I will say of the 3, my favorite was the steak and cheese. The chips and queso is a huge portion. Seating is a mix of indoor and outdoor, not a lot of either though. Parking is a bit limited too as it shares a very small parking lot with foggy bottom.

This is a great spot for unauthentic tacos. The food came out quickly and everything was good. They have a great covered patio and inside seating. I got the chips and salsa and I really liked the salsa. It was also a huge portion. I got the OG pork and the southern pork tacos. The southern pork was definitely my favorite, it was so good and the bbq sauce they put on it was delicious. The OG pork was ok but for some reason, the person who took my order assumed that I didn't want onion and cilantro even though I never mentioned that and so it was just pork and a tortilla. Luckily two sauces came with it and those added flavor but I would stick with doing the unauthentic flavors because that seems to be the best. They also had a special chimichurri steak taco that was also great. The biggest issue for me was my server taking things off of my taco without me asking because I definitely wanted the onions and cilantro and the fact that the tortillas were cold. I wish that the were warmed but the flavor was still good. I would go back and try it again if I was in the area.

I ordered about 5 tacos for a corporate lunch about 20 minutes from our office. Unfortunately we had a very unpleasant experience this time. The food we received was burnt and overcooked, as seen in the pictures below. One order of tacos was actually a quesadilla instead. When we proceeded to call the restaurant to inform them they insisted that we drive 20 minutes back with the burnt food and the receipt in order to receive compensation, however due to the distance from us that was impossible for us to do and they could not provide us any other alternatives. The manger we spoke to was also very rude and unapologetic of actions and proceeded to encourage us to dispute the charge via our own bank accounts. Very unpleasant and rude staff which was disappointing considering we order from here multiple times. Would not recommend for corporate lunches and was disappointed in the lack of empathy or apologetic manner from the entire staff.

The facilities were modern, very clean and the staff, very kind and helpful. The food was delicious with the majority of the patrons being from Latino descent. Tasty, moist and flavorful tamales (one chicken and one pork with mild red sauce) as well as delicious tacos (Al pastor and birria). Fries were perfectly cooked and had a tasty seasoning on them. $13-14 breakfast plate: This was ok. It's billed as a scramble but is griddle scrambled and the eggs were very very hard cooked. I would prefer an overdone egg than a soft egg, so that was ok, but I would order them differently if I returned. There were lots of tomatoes, peppers and onions which was nice for flavor, but there were so many that there weren't many "curds" of scrambled eggs if that makes sense. The refried beans might be the tastiest I've ever had. The rice was "ok". The soft corn tortillas were very fresh. If not housemade, these are coming in every day for sure. $13-14 Rajas and cheese tamales: Didn't try these because of the cheese, but they were medium sized and smelled good $4 each Vegan black bean tamales: These come in banana leaves, which I've not had before. I could do without the flavor of the leaf, which is actually pronounced (this surprised me). The masa was lovely and the black bean filling was delicious and well seasoned. I like to pan fry my tamales to reheat and they were stellar the next day. $4 each The staff was friendly and handled accommodations (no dairy, corn tortillas instead of flour) smoothly. I would go again if I was in the area.
