(Had their pizza at the ACL Festival Eats booth) I know festival food gets a bad rap, but this lowkey might've been the some of the worst pizza I've ever had (or at least ordered from a restaurant). After I opened the box, a large portion of the cheese fell off the pizza, leaving a soggy crust with bland tomato sauce that was unevenly spread throughout the pizza. The pizza crust was very undercooked with no crispiness, it's possible the ovens they had at ACL weren't sufficient. There was minimal flavor in both the crust and sauce. Hopefully I'll have a better experience if I try their real location one day! read more

My family and I decided to get some pizza last minute for dinner. Since we have been to Austin Pizza before and kind of knew what to expect we decided to order and pick some up. It was simple, my husband placed the order online, drove up, got down and picked up our pizza. We shared the BBQ Chicken Pizza and I decided to get some Ranch Dressing to dip my pizza in. The pizza is good. The crust wasn't thick. The combined ingredients were flavorful. The BBQ sauce on the pizza had a slight sweetness to it. The chicken pieces were small but thick and spread around the pizza. The onions were good and added flavor. The Ranch Dressing was an extra that added a little more flavor. Overall ordering was easy, the pickup process was quick and the pizza is a good go to pizza when looking for something in the Westlake area. read more

I love Austin's Pizza for a carry-out night when I don't feel like cooking. The pizza has always been hot and fresh, the Caesar salad is great as well. They had a great $16 carry-out deal this month for a Large pizza, 2 sodas, and a small salad. The wait to get my pizza was a bit longer than expected when I arrived at the shop to pick up, but was no problem. Friendly staff as well. I love this spot. It has the perfect fenced in back area where you can easily watch the kids play. Whether running around the large turf area or while they play on the fun pirate ship. The thin crust cheese pizza is reminiscent of old school bar style pizza in Chicago, which I love. There are always the same 2 guys working every time we come in and they couldn't be nicer and more accommodating. Love the additions they added as of late, like wine and the outdoor bar. My Italian sausage and pepperoni pizza was great! There were plenty of toppings, and adequate cheese. I chose regular crust, which turned out to be rather chewy, but somewhat firm. This was my first visit here. I asked A LOT of questions! I was the only customer (it was late in the evening), so I was patiently endulged.  It was very easy, actually, and now that I'm familiar I can see how to quickly order calling or coming in again. Walking in you feel like you are in their storage room with the pizza boxes, water cases, and soda stored on display. There is one booth and 3 tables. All the tables and the floor look tired and worn. Outside there is plenty of seating. There is also a pirate ship for kids to play on. Awesome music was playing when I came in: 70s and 80s. The music can be heard outside as well. This would be a good location for families to come have a pizza night when weather permits sitting outside.  Pizza will make everyone happy and the kids can go play pirates. read more

But what I do have to complain about is I placed an order online and had to make an adjustment, so I called the store and got hung up on because I didn't speak Spanish. I did politely apologize and say I didn't speak Spanish and asked if anyone spoke English, too which the man just hung up. I called back 3 times and had the same interaction. Recently, my order was really late and it was very frustrating (bc kids and bedtime). However, this happens. It's just the nature of the beast with restaurants. So while I was frustrated about the issues, I called (second time).. and they were so busy. But they handled the situation with the absolute best customer service. I enjoy their pizzas (The farmer's market with vegan cheese is my favorite). I am only giving two stars because of the delivery service. Unfortunately, I recommend ordering from a different pizza place unless you are OK with a long window for delivery. I scheduled a delivery a day in advance; however, they were still an hour late. The delivery guy said that was normal and to be comfortable with it if you order delivery. We will still get takeout or purchase Austin Pizza frozen pizzas at HEB but will not call when we need a delivery. read more

This store never answers their phone. I've had to call the call center and try to get my call forwarded every time I order and even the call center can't get through. Their delivery is extremely slow, and they use a second party delivery service which triples the time of estimated delivery. Horrible service read more

We went for lunch on New Years Day 2021. Staff was not wearing a mask when I walked in. One guy was wearing a clear "face shield" attached to eyeglasses that came down only to his upper lip. His lower lip and chin were exposed, so his breath was exhaling all over the place. That might comply for some radical COVID deniers, but not for people making and serving my food. 3 times in a row I have ordered and paid for delivery online requesting delivery 1.5 hours from order time. 3 times in a row I've had to drive to the location to find my pizzas have not been started 30 minutes after the delivery time. They do not answer the phone. Each time I've waited for my pizzas, no phone calls are answered. My margherita pizza had no basil; only cheese and tomatoes. No packets of red pepper or parm were provided as they were ordered online. Each of these 3 times I have paid a $10 tip for delivery. I will not be so foolish again. Pizza was delicious- guy who waited on me at the restaurant was great. Call center - another story. I called in an order as I needed to pick up and head back to work pretty quick. Got to the store only to be told there was no order for me. I was there 5 minutes before she told me the food would be ready. I don't know where they sent my order to.... The guy at the location apologized and said that they have has some problems like that since the call center change. I come and go with liking Austin's Pizza. They hit a low point a few years ago, but have been coming back strong. We've been a few times recently and enjoyed the pizza enough that I couldn't quit stuffing my face. This location is fun because it has a huge deck and playground for the kids. It's at the very back of the parking lot, so there's not a lot of traffic and it's pleasant. Did you know you can bring your own alcohol? And there's a Twin Liquor in the parking lot too? Yes. They don't have coke though. The negative to this location is the parking lot though. They share it with a driving school and a pilates studio for the most part. It can get pretty crazy when everyone is coming and going. I eat either here or at Riverhills Pizza. read more

What a find! A place where you can eat pizza/salads and enjoy a nice bottle of wine or beer. This Austin's Pizza is BYOB! I love it! What a great idea. Unlike most other Austin's Pizza this one has more of a restaurant feel with a really cool outside patio. There is even a playscape for the kiddies to enjoy!! I really like this new Austin's Pizza. Austins Pizza now has Gluten Free Pizza. It only comes in medium size but it's very good. You can order most of the toppings but make sure that you are clear when you place your order if you need everything to be gluten free. Some of the toppings may not be. Pricier than normal pizza but very good and it hits the spot when you are craving real pizza! read more

They never get my special request for no cheese wrong (a frequent issue I have with other companies) and the it always arrives promptly, freshly made, steaming warm, with really nice delivery people. Nice place, fairly good pizza. This is a dine-in review as I haven't ordered anything for delivery. Cons: -Food has been kinda mixed, though I've only tried basic pizza. I liked the "white" pizza better with a LOT of parmigiana and red pepper. The veggie-heavy one they offer was meh. It's still better than the big chains. - Could do without the TV. Formerly Flying Tomato, Austins Pizza has moved great pizza offerings into a great location complete with an outdoor patio with adjacent fenced playground. The interior is small but the wood patio has plenty of room as does the grass yard. BYOB is a plus since there is a Twin Liquors in the same parking lot. They offer whole wheat crust and a number of good themed pizzas like the Stubbs BBQ. I prefer a goat cheese, pesto and portobella mushroom on whole wheat. Their pizza is good, nothing fantastic. I like their employees, very chill Austin vibe. But what I give them 4 stars for is the closed in playscape and outdoor tables and BYOB policy. A cool place for a play date dinner, soccer team group outing, etc. There is a big open field on one side kids can play tag or kick or throw a ball and then a big playscape on the other side. When the weather is good, you will find this place packed with Westlake families. Their pepperoni rolls are pretty legit as well. It's not cheap as far as pizza goes, but it is local and the ingredients seem like good quality ones. Check it out if you want to sit outside and byob while watching your kiddos play. read more

Very unprofessional, When I called to order the pizza, my new address was updated in the computer system and told that delivery was no issue. I paid with my credit card over the phone and it was charged. Nearly 55 minutes later I get a panicked phone call from the manager at the Westlake location saying the order had been routed to the wrong store by their operator, and should have been sent to the S Lamar location. She then re-took my order. She told me she doesnt think that my new address is in their delivery zone, but she would break the rules this one time due to their mistake. She told me that there would be no charge for the pizza and to please "scrounge up some tip for the drivers." I get off the phone and promptly start rummaging for cash since I almost never carry any on me. 10 minutes later I get another phonecall, same woman. She says she had misspoken again and that no one at S Lamar has the time to deliver to me. Nice. She told me that if I could just pick up the pizza, it would "definitely" be free. Well, I have a 103F fever right now and can barely move, which is why I ordered delivery in the first place. I have been using Austin Pizza for 4 years faithfully. Today is the last day I will ever interact with their business. Good luck Austin Pizza. My advice is get some personnel training. Service at the chain and this location are slipping. Promised times for online orders no longer seem to be valid. I was quoted 15-20 minutes, and it took 40 minutes to get my pizza. This place has gluten free pizza, which is a huge plus in my book! Also, the BYOB is a nice advantage when eating on premise. The downside is that they are almost incapable of providing an order that is full and correct. I'd say that maybe 90% of the time my order at Austin's Pizza whether on premise, carry out, or delivery is incorrect. They do always issue credit, no questions asked, but that doesn't lessen the annoyance of having a wrong order. read more

Nice patio, friendly staff. Pizza is ok and reasonably priced. Some toppings are sparse but with others they go bonkers (i had close to 20 anchovy fillets on a 10" pizza!)
