Here is the deal- tonight they just lost a loyal customer- I have spent a lot of money with this place over the past 4 years. I love supporting local businesses. Typically I am a pretty understanding person but when I order pepperoni roles at 5pm and you show up at 7pm- I think an apology is the least you can do. Your website specifically says 45 minutes up to 80 minutes for delivery- 2 hours is 120 minutes. Come on- admit when you screw up and make it right. Not to mention the delivery guy gave me attitude- it's not my fault there are only 2 of you working on a Friday night. Oh and half of my rolls were burnt and the cinnamon sticks were terrible. We pig out on pizza every Friday night. I wanted to change up our usual go to and saw this place online. Ordering was easy... Food got here about 40 min later than expected... But this was a situation where that actually worked out better for us. I called the place and the guy said they were slammed... And being out of a truck.. I can understand. The food was uhhh-mazing though. Pizza hit the spot... And so did the wings... And the garlic cheese sticks are a must. Ps... You'll get free dessert with the online order. Ok y'all. It's literally been 3 years since I found a pizza worth talking about. Despite the old and less than favorable reviews, we decided to give this place a shot especially during this quarantine and supporting local spots. Dude was cool and executed our order perfectly including cooking it well done. Here's the thing with pizza...You have to be specific about what you want and don't be afraid to order the pizza the way you like it. Look, I've lived all over Texas and Austin. Tony's is, hands down, the most under-rated pizza place within a 50-mile radius. I've had different pizzas, ordered at different times of the day, and I've had different requests. They've always followed through. They've always been on time, they have always been friendly, and at the end of the day the food is just at a higher quality than any thing else in the area. Ordered (online) the simplest of things on their menu: Two slices of pizza and a drink. How difficult is that?!? When the order arrived, the pizza was cold and marginal at best, and of course, there was no drink. Mind you it's just a drink, but if you pay $3.99 delivery fee and tip your driver, who said she asked the restaurant if a drink came with the delivery, you want the order to be right! Maybe I don't get any sympathy here -- certainly didn't from the restaurant -- because you can easily point fingers at the driver. But how hard is it to do something for the customer. All Tony's (Round Rock location; not South Austin) offered was a free appetizer next time I came in, which will be never because I mostly order online. Unhappy consumer! read more

Placed an order on Christmas Eve, I called several times to make sure before placing my order because most mom and pops like this will more than likely be closed on Christmas Eve, but the website said they were open, and the automated phone message indicates that if they don't answer, they're more than likely helping customers or making orders, and I was desperate to feed our kiddos. I didn't get a confirmation email about my order and ETA. So I gave it 30 minutes, all while still calling the number listed and continue to get the same automated message from before. I arrive, and the food trailer is closed. Its Christmas weekend and I'm certain they'll be closed the remainder of the weekend. I wait to call till they're open the following weekend per their website and call and continue to get the same stupid non-informative message. I drive all the way there again and they're still closed. I finally decide to leave a message since I was charged $50 for less than a dozen rolls in hopes of getting a return call and an apology and never received my order nor an explanation. I drive out there again and they're still closed. WTF Update your website and definitely your phone message for paying customers. I should have stuck to my initial gut and order from Domino's pizza, instead of buying local. pffff It's my hood, but i'll never order from them again. read more

Let me start off by saying that I am From NYC. So if you advertise yourself as "NYC pizza" you better be damn good... this place is not. I spent $80 on pizza, dessert, and a sub. All of the food, except for the sub was edible. The cheesecake was frozen, not fresh. Pizza was stiff and cold. The cinnamon sticks were hard and didn't come with frosting. We called to complain and get our money back (we work in customer service so we know how to own issues from start to finish when we fuck up) and they refused. Husband and I ordered a veggie pizza in person at the truck but were sort of treated like an afterthought by the person working there. He was on a personal phone call and made us wait a long time to order. Well, when we finally got our pizza it smelled and tasted like seafood. So gross. There was no seafood in our order at all. One of the best calzones I've eaten here in Central Texas. It's nice to have a little family-owned and operated place that serves up pizzas and calzones that blow the doors off the terrible, terrible chains we're subjected to in Buda. Fantastic marinara sauce and really good crust combined with what taste like some top-quality ingredients inside. I called ahead to pick up my order from their new trailer location, gave them about an hour's notice. My food was hot and fresh, they knew I was coming around 7:20pm and so I did not have to wait at all. They were actually pulling one of my pizzas out of the oven when I arrived. The guy who took my order on the phone was very nice, very patient explaining to me the actual location (because I am terrible with directions and Siri is a turd sometimes). Being on 1626 made it easy to drive there, not much traffic. We ordered a Maui pizza, a supreme pizza, and a pepperoni calzone. The trifecta made my car smell AMAZING and it was hard not to reach over and snag a slice while I was driving (but I didn't because that's obviously unsafe). I really liked the bell peppers and onions on the Maui, they were cooked nicely. Usually I just think of Hawaiian pizza as simply pineapple and Canadian bacon, but their version was much better than the typical boring Hawaiian. The supreme was loaded with toppings, definitely did not get cheated there. The calzone was okay, but that is just due to me being boring and only wanting pepperoni and cheese. They have like 20 different fillings (you can pick three for the calzone) and I only wanted pepperoni, so that's on me for being lame. I'm sure if I had branched out, it would have been even better. Their whole menu looks delicious, I'm going to try the pizza rolls next time. Or their meatball sub. Probably the Fiesta pizza too, it's hard to find a good "taco pizza" around here. We love Tony's! Their pizza is tasty. Mediterranean and golden pepperoni are my favorite, but we've never had a bad pizza. Their salad is delish. Greek salad is my favorite. I called up Tony's South Austin Pizza this afternoon and was immediately placed on hold which is normally not a big deal. While waiting on hold, the hold message advertised a free dessert for any online orders over $20. When they finally answered the call, I asked if they delivered to my location which they promptly confirmed. I mentioned I was going to order online so I could take advantage of the free dessert promotion. The sales person (who happened to also be the manager) proceeded to tell me the online store would only offer free desserts for $40 or more. I mentioned their hold message offer and the manager said the promotion was incorrect and there was nothing he could do about it. I asked if we could order through him to correct the issue and he said he was not able to honor the promotion. "It is what it is" was his message to me. Fellow Yelpers, that's just plain bad customer service and worthy of a 1-star review. The manager made zero attempt to offer a resolution and didn't even offer an apology for the confusion. We usually like to support local businesses but they just sent my business to their corporate competitors. That's just a shame. read more

Tried to buy my friend a surprise pizza for her and her son. I left very detailed instructions and said to call me if he got lost. I hear nothing 30 minutes after the delivery time and call. He said it was delivered and seemed oddly defensive. I call my friend and she has no pizza. They came to the door and asked for a Bruce!!? Her name is Lenai and mine is Samantha... I told him she may be surprised and to say I ordered her a pizza. Instead he left unable to do the simplest of tasks. I called the office and they say he delivered it implying I'm lying and started to treat me utterly horrible. They are trying to gaslight me at this point with no apology. Hands down the worst food and rudest ppl. Read the others reviews because those are the ones that r accurate. We decided to try it- 50.00, but the food was cold, wings hv no sauce baked into them (not advertised that), the breadstick had 0 garlic and were hard, and the pizza was disgusting. Called the manager who was beyond rude but decided to give us a refund. 1.5 hours later the driver shows up, no mask (even after I told him go put one on), no gloves, and arguing that we enjoyed the food? I had 1 piece and didn't finished that, my sister had 1, and my kids took a bite and refused to finish. No joke-any frozen pizza is better than this. But it was the blatant disrespect for Covid regulations that sent me into anger mode, as guy wanted to argue wearing no mask. We hv our money back, but this is the most disgusting food and irresponsible ppl during Covid. I felt very unsafe and told them never to step foot on our property again. My sister is from New York, and the level of laugher I heard from her saying "you call this New Yawk?, almost was worth loosing the 50.00.
