We sat in the back room which is soo cute. So glad we checked this place out! The calamari was soo good. It wasn't overly battered and fried, it was just perfect. And my pasta.. omg.. just try it. Everything we ordered was recommended and everything we ordered was amazing. 10/10 recommend. Also so cute again but they have a gelato and bakery inside as well.. and if you're a "first timer" you get a free gelato! Service was great. Every 10 mins staff was checking in and cleaning away plates! Love it!!

We went in blindly as their menu doesn't share vegan options. While the options are limited, Rudy was awesome, so kind and very helpful pinpointing what we were able to order for him. There are quite a few pasta options. BF opted for the SPAGHETTINI ORTOLANO. Was simple but filled with veggies. The focaccia also does not have dairy/egg he was able to enjoy that with the seasoned olive oil they provide. Overall it was a great experience! Staff is always so friendly at this location. Hopefully they add more vegan options in the future. Or mgmt updates menus to annotate what can be made vegan (e.g sub cheese, etc) But we'll be back

The hamburger patty was overcooked and dry except for the very center. If the hamburger patty was cooked like the center throughout, it would have been perfectly cooked. But it wasn't, so it was very dry. It barely had a piece of lettuce and a slim slice of tomato. Very disappointed with the cheeseburger, good thing it was only $6. The fries on the other hand were delicious. They were wedged cut fries and they were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and seasoned perfectly. They were the best part of the meal. The downside is it was a small portion of fries and they were very overpriced at $4. The ice tea was good. The hostess was welcoming and pleasant. Our waitress was polite and friendly. She asked if I was ready to order and I said i needed a little more time. I was looking over the menu to see if there was anything else I'd rather have than the $6 cheeseburger special. She didn't come back until after about 15 minutes. She took my order and when my order was ready she brought it out. She never came back to the table to see if I needed a refill or if I needed anything else. I had to flag her down to get my check. She was young, so I don't know if she was inexperienced or busy looking at her phone or what. But she definitely needs more training on how to be a good waitress. It was very quiet in the restaurant. That's because I was practically the only customer in there. I think I saw 2 customers in the bar area. I really don't know how this place keeps their doors open. Every time I've been here, they're never busy. The only reason I'm not giving them a 2 star review is because I come here about once a month and this is the first disappointing meal I've had.

February 2026 1. I…read moresearched for over an hour trying to find the Famous Dave's. Turns out, this to-go only counter is located inside CARINO'S. There are no markings on the outside of the building whatsoever indicative that Famous Dave's has any presence in the building. "If you don't know, then you don't know." 2. I got there when it opened at 1115am. The "host" had no clue what he was doing - didn't know how to access the FD system, whether any of the FD food was ready, or how to input my order into the computer. He had to "go ask the manager" 3 separate times what to do. Note: there was a question whether FD ribs were ready bc they normally aren't available until after 330pm. 3. I tried to order online for pickup, but the website said it was too early. But when Host finally figured out how to ring me up, both the pre-tax and post-tax prices more expensive than what i saw online. So, i tried placing the order online again, but it would not let me schedule a pickup time any earlier than 330pm - it was 1130am at the time. I asked what we should do. Host got the manager involved. Note: while Host retrieved the manager, i looked at the CARRINO'S menu, noticing it also has ribs listed as an option but without any connection to FD. When the manager finally arrived, I showed him the pre-tax prices were different. In his most condescending, incredulous, and indignant tone, he shouted "that's BEFORE TAX." So, I showed him the after tax difference - proving i was right and being honest. He exasperatedly acknowledged the difference. Then, acting as if he was doing me the greatest favor, said he would reduce the in-house charge to match the online charge to circumvent the need to order online. Good solution, garbage attitude. 4. Now suspicious, i began asking the Manager about the relationship between CARRION'S and FD. He had no idea how to answer basic questions and became visibly uncomfortable. 5. So, I canceled the whole order. The host was incompetent, the manager was unreasonably offensive, and i got the distinct impression some kind of under-the-table shenanigans are being played here. E.g. I wonder if they were going to give me their in-house ribs instead of the FD version. Is there even a difference? Neither the manager nor host could explain. Final thoughts: FD should pull their license agreement - assuming one even exists - and find a place/partner more suitable for high standards and quality service. I've been a fan of Famous Dave's for over a decade and it's one of my favorite places to go. I hate to see such a great company represented in such a substandard way. I wont be back to this location.

I went in just hoping they'd put a salad in a wrap and they were so accommodating! The manager (I think) even confirmed each ingredient and suggested skipping the croutons which I agreed with. The wrap really hit the spot! Only small complaint was that they panini pressed the wrap which led to some limp lettuce- I didn't know the wraps would be pressed. But this was a small issue and the wrap was satisfying. The husband got a sandwich and said it was good though the bread was cut a little unevenly. All in all I'd come back for the great service alone.

Golden Hour is a cute spot that serves as a coffee shop serving light breakfast and by night, transforms into a cozy spot to unwind with a glass of wine and canapés. Fair warning--if it's your first visit, finding it can be a little confusing. It's tucked inside an apartment complex and shares the outdoor courtyard with the residents. With that being said, since it's creative in its location, it gives a relaxed, neighborhood vibe where you'll find young mothers yapping, corporate employees working and girlies catching up. Unfortunately, if you fall into the corporate employee category like myself, the coveted corner table is the hottest seat in the house since it's the only unique seating with multiple outlets. Otherwise, you'll find sneaky floor outlets at the community table and another a few tables away from the corner seating area. I had the Miso Panela Latte and their signature Breakfast Burrito. While the burrito isn't as "hearty" as other places in size, I thought it was filling enough to share with my partner for a light breakfast. The Miso Panela was delicious and so unique compared to other basic offerings in Austin. NOTE: Happy Hour is offered daily from 4-6 PM where you'll get $2 off wines by the glass, draught beer, and cocktails. In addition, Focaccia by the slice will run at $4.
