DeSano and its consistent quality across the locations. This is San Genaro pizza and it's delicious. The rim is perfectly charred too. Woohoo

I tried DeSano Pizzeria since I was in the area and although the food was fine, I wouldn't go out of my way to go again. The lunch size Lasagna pizza tasted ok. The crust is great and the marinara sauce is delicious, but overall it didn't wow me. I also got the focaccia bread. It's more flat and dense than what I am used to but it had a nice chew to it, and it came with butter and the delicious marinara sauce on the side. Unfortunately the finishing salt was sprinkled so heavily I had to use a napkin to wipe off the top. The inside of the restaurant is large and customers can see what's going on in the kitchen, which was cool.

I Keto'd my sandwich + side salad (I removed the cranberries). DELICIOUS!!!

Always good! We took it to go and it was delicious. I can't tell you what all we ordered because someone else ordered it but please get the hot honey and the Calabrian chili oil! See my pics.

WOOD-FIRED FOCACCIA BREAD! The best. .... One piece left.

This place is incredible! Wow! We were visiting Austin from Houston, and this was one of our favorite meals. It is some of the most delicious pizza our family has ever eaten. We loved the atmosphere, the ambiance, and the service was really great as well. They were bringing our food to our table as we were sitting down. (How can anyone be that fast?!?!) The focaccia bread is a must with the butter. Don't think you don't need it because you have pizza coming. Trust me... order it with your salad! It is insanely delicious! Great place, and we can't wait to go back next trip.

I stopped by DeSano for lunch this past weekend. The restaurant is quite spacious, with plenty of tables inside and outside. The staff is very kind and friendly. They offer a wide variety of pizzas and drinks on the menu. I ordered the Americana (NY style), which had a lot of cheese and fresh tomato flavor. I also got the Italian hot honey pepperoni pizza, which was my personal favorite. The savory, salty pepperoni paired perfectly with the sweet honey. If you want an extra boost of garlic flavor, highly recommend ordering a side of garlic butter to dip your pizza in. For dessert, I ordered the pistachio cannoli. The shell was very crispy, and the cream was light and fairly sweet. They were generous with the pistachios, which added an addictive crunch. There's a reason DeSano's pizzas attract so many customers. Their crust is thin and deliciously chewy, and their pizzas are flavorful. I will definitely be coming back for more!

The pizza was good, but not spectacular. The salad was okay, but also not something I'll be thinking about. The service was mid, as the kids say. There's a sign that directs you to wait until the register is available. So we waited and read. But, it doesn't take 15 minutes to read the whole menu. In the meantime two ladies were chatting and one guy came to the register and just stood there and looked around- mostly to everywhere, but us. We were contemplating leaving and just dealing with the parking at Home Slice, but then we finally got some attention. We placed our order for a salad, pizza, and two drinks. Pricey for the offerings. The salad was out before I could even blink. It was large, the veggies were crisp and fresh, the cheese was good, but not particularly flavorful. The dressing was pretty good- nice and tangy. The winner was the piece of warm bread. Mmmmm.... And then maybe 30 minutes went by.... The salad was long gone, people that came in after us sat, ate, and were nearly done and nothing. We still has our pager and it was silent. We finally got the attention of the man that took our order. Apparently, our order didn't make it into the system. So they got it through, brought it out, and gave us a canoli as well. The pizza was tasty and nice and chewy. A bit more crunch to hold it up would be nice, but it was good and I was hungry. We took the canoli to go. I'm not a fan of this dessert in general, but the cream was delicious. Would I come back, I don't know. Our go to places in Austin are Home Slice and Pint House. We thought we would try something new, but this was not for us.

Every ingredient is imported from Italy. Amazing pizza and that's coming from a Chicago pizza snob. The gluten free crust is incredible. Friendly and lots of topping options.

Hadn't been to DeSano in a few years and decided to swing by for lunch before an appointment nearby. We ordered the new pizza, hot honey pepperoni and it was perfectly flavored. The hot honey gave it just the right amount of sweet and heat to pair with the little pepperoni circles that had the perfect amount of crisp. As always, the dough was both soft and charred and mouthwatering. I love that they have shredded basil available to top off your pizza with as well. They have large family style seating inside and they also have tables out front to sit at. The staff are friendly and attentive. If you're looking for an authentic spot with fresh ingredients do yourself a favor and give them a visit!

This is a solid napolitan style pizza place. Even by Italian standards this is a good pizza. At lunch there's next to no line so try going earlier versus at dinner. Prices are high but you get a quality that you pay for. There is free basil and garlic and oil avaliable after you order which is an excellent touch. I'd come back any time.

DeSano's is THE BEST pizza in Austin. We drive one hour to come here. Each and every time they are consistent. Their crust is so fresh, perfectly thin, and brick oven toasted. Their sauce is out of this world . They order most of their ingredients from Italy. For the quality of ingredients and the size you get their prices are more than fair. The staff is so friendly. It's fun to watch them make the pizzas in the open kitchen. Our favorites are the Desano and the San Gennaro. I highly recommend the meatballs as an appetizer. We love the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and garlic they keep out as condiments for your pizza. And finally you HAVE to get the cannolis for dessert. Our son won't let us share he loves them so much.

I'm assuming a more authentic experience for Italian pizza. The pizza I got had some form of salted ham? artichoke and mushroom -- of overall packed with great flavors but the ham or slices of meat were a bit too salty. You get punched w the saltiness as it enters your mouth but the other flavors helps balance it a bit. The staff are sweet, welcoming, knowledgeable and it seems like a great spot to have drink with friends or family. I'd come again but try a different type of pizza! Prices are fair.

Casual spot to grab some pizza! The salads are solid and the pizzas themselves are pretty good! They have a lot of interesting flavors, making it kind of hard to make a choice on what you want to eat. But the pizzas are so thin, that you can choose several. I, personally, prefer pizza that is a little thicker and has some chew to it. But yeah, it takes a few more pizzas to get everyone full because they are pretty thin, and I wish there was some more meat and toppings. And so it is on the pricier side. But the food in itself is good!

I've been wanting to try Desano's for the longest time and I'm so glad I finally did. This pizza joint is truly a gem. The restaurant space is very modern with lots of cool displays including a Vespa (how fitting.) The tables are picnic style so it's a great place to bring a group of people to enjoy some mouth watering pizza. We ordered the Lasagna pizza and let me tell you, every bite was a flavorful tastebud party. You can taste the fresh out of the brick oven taste and the crisp it gives the crust and dough. The ingredients were fresh and the portion was very generous. I was too full to try the Nutella dessert calzone but I will definitely be ordering it the next time. Service was fast and easy. We got there an hour before closing and there was no line. You just walk up to the counter to place your order and they bring it out to you. I highly recommend this establishment if you are looking for a delectable Napoletana style pizza. You won't regret it!

I've spent my life chasing the perfect crust, comparing everything from the legendary pie shops in Manhattan to the pristine corner slices in Pittsburgh. I didn't think Austin could pull off truly authentic pizza. I was dead wrong. Baldinucci is absolute sorcery. The moment I took a bite of their Roman-style pizza, I was instantly thrown back to the tiny, narrow pizzerias I stumbled into in Italy. It has that exact, hyper-specific airy crunch that is so incredibly hard to replicate outside of Europe. The dough is clearly fermented with patience. It's light, shatteringly crisp on the bottom, and has those beautiful, irregular air pockets that give it a pillowy structure without ever feeling heavy. Let's talk about the sauce, because that's where most places fail. It isn't that sugary, paste-heavy stuff you find at standard joints. It is vibrant, bright, and tastes intensely of sun-ripened tomatoes and clean olive oil. It is remarkably fresco; striking that perfect balance where the acidity cuts through the richness of the cheese without overwhelming the palate. The vibe inside the West Lake spot is casual and unpretentious, but they take their craft seriously.
