Being involved in rescue, I have also had…read morethe opportunity to take shelter-owned dogs to other vets in the area from time to time and have never found a clinic or single practice vet that I would consider more accommodating, more knowledgeable, more communicative and more dedicated than the DVMs and staff at Crago Clinic. I trust them totally with my pets' lives - always have and always will - and I highly recommend them.

They refused to see our cat for nearly 3 months, and now say it's too late to treat her…read more They only reason they even pretended to look at her is that I forced the issue in person, during one of our regular dog visits. (as we have done for decades) December 15 2023 update: negative 5 stars. I am beyond any words, and have given myself a couple of days to settle...this is the best I can explain. Misu may have survived had they not ignored us for months. Now, Blame us for not calling them personally: that's all they got. Finally, after much effort on our part for more than two months, they agreed to see Misu. Vipay said steroidal treatment is indicated from the pictures, but he wanted to do a thorough exam. However, when I brought her in, He and Bancroft REFUSED to look at her tongue beyond a cursory glance. They refused to look at high-res images I had on my phone that showed it's original form when they originally refused to see her. They refused to touch her tongue even. Dr Vipay and Dr Bancroft both concurred that it is likely easinophilic granuloma (as Vipay stated is the likely case last week) or a carcinoma. They said it is TOO LATE to treat for granuloma with steroids because it has progressed too far, having caused separation of the sublingual muscle 2 weeks ago...2 months after they initially refused to see her. The treatment would have been simple in September: steroids. Not a cure, but a mitigation of the spread that could have prolonged her life for years. Now it is months at best and perhaps weeks, per Vipay. BLAME THE Victim: So, they both (especially Bancroft) went into a lecture that we should have contacted them directly, instead of the clinic. However, when I asked for any contact information, they refused to give any. They said the way to contact them is to contact the clinic and leave a message.....like we did when they refused to make an appointment for a decades-long customer. So now they refuse to try even the steroids unless we pay for a $1000 biopsy, which we cannot afford. Maybe if they had allowed us to bring her in 2.5 months ago, she would have survived for 10 more years, maybe only 5, maybe not even 1. We will never know. To be clear, Vipay DID say last time that they WOULD have treated her in September, had they accepted her for treatment, based on the pictures back then, which showed two small ulcers on one side of her tongue only,....a month before the tongue split on the edge and two months before it separated from the sublingual muscle. THE LESSON ABOUT CRAGO IS THIS: If you are a decades-long customer and have an emergency for a cat, then they will ignore you. they will refuse any appointment whatsoever....PERIOD. If you push hard the next time you bring one of your dogs in, they will pretend to care about the cat while they cover their own arses and blame you for their own ignorance. ------ Update from December 4th 2023 We took our dogs to crago as usual and I showed the dentist working there pictures of my cat's tongue and he let me know that it is fatal but that he would like to see her immediately. I said that's great but you all refused to see her in September, to which he expressed slight surprise yet said yeah back then we we're busy... And he said that should not have mattered because we have been long time patrons. So he forced the clinic to make an appointment for next week, and everyone's making every excuse in the book as to why they rejected my cat, but the prognosis would have been much much better according to the dental veterinarian had they accepted her back in September. So now I have mixed feelings. On one hand finally they're going to see her, but on the other hand they refused us and because that she's going to die a lot younger than she would have. Still not even worthy of one star --------------- Below is my original review in September they love money, but not animals. not compassionate in the least. disgraceful, really. or maybe they just hate cats. they have taken our dogs on emergency basis, but refused for both of our cats. I think it's based on how much money they feel they can make from the given procedure. despite Wendy and I having taken our animals for years and spending tens of thousands of dollars, Crago refused an emergency treatment for my cat I was stopped eating and drinking and has lesions on her tongue, or even to make a non-emergency. they are perfectly happy taking money for surgeries and expensive matters, but they definitely have no love for animals. they will take your money for surgeries. but they cannot be inconvenienced for the sake of the health or welfare of an animal in pain and desperate need

Our beloved 9 year old kitty woke up Saturday lethargic and with labored breathing. Off to MedVet…read morewe went. They are open seven days a week, noon 'til 10. Which is nice in an emergency since you aren't going to get in to see your regular vet on a Sunday. They triage patients based on urgency, so your cat with the sniffles will be seen long after the dog that was hit by a car. Totally understandable. Your level of care may vary (see some other reviews) but our experience was positive. BE PREPARED! You're going to have (an extremely uncomfortable) front row seat to animals arriving sick, broken and dying. Fellow pet parents are going to be sobbing over their impending loss. Heart-wrenching. And you're going to have to endure this for 4 to eight hours. (We were there seven & a half). Many of you reading this are going to find this extremely tough to take. We sure did. As an aside, there was an unseen worker in the back coughing her head off for THE ENTIRE SEVEN + HOURS we were there! STAY HOME IF YOU'RE SICK. This is how we wind up with pandemics.

Misdiagnosed kidney failure as "a perfect weight" when I brought in my 2 year old pup, Lyme positive, who had been loosing excessive weight at an alarming rate a d not able to keep any food or water down for about a month. Dr. Allen said "he is not worried about this dog, give him ice cubes for dehydration". When I brought him back to euthanized because of severity and prognosis, he admitted he misdiagnosed and then tried to hide it. If I was you, I would record the entire experience when dealing with this imcompetent doctor. This is exactly why the saying goes, "you want your doctors young". My experience with Ebert Animal Hospital was extremely disappointing.I scheduled a checkup for my…read moretwo cats a rescued female kitten and my adult male cat to begin the process of having them spayed and neutered. During the visit, my male cat received his first rabies vaccination, and my female kitten was prescribed antibiotics for a respiratory infection. During the examination, the veterinarian discovered that both cats had ear mites. Since my kitten was a recent rescue, she had unknowingly passed them to my adult cat. Instead of treating the ear mites during the visit or providing me with the medication, I was told they would order it online and have it shipped to my home because I wasn't able to pay the estimated $600 bill in full. I explained that I only had $200 with me because I believed I was only coming in for a routine checkup. Based on what I was told, I believed the ear mite medication was included and had already been ordered. After waiting an entire week, I discovered that no medication had ever been ordered. I later found out the medication would have only cost around $50. As a result, I had to treat both of my cats myself without any assistance from the clinic, despite already paying $200 for the visit, a rabies vaccine, and antibiotics.To make matters worse, I later learned they intended to charge approximately $400-$467 to neuter my adult male cat, with my female kitten's spay surgery being an additional charge. These costs were never clearly explained during my visit. I eventually contacted another animal hospital that quoted me just $62 total to spay and neuter both cats. My biggest concern isn't just the pricing it's the lack of compassion I experienced. When I explained that I couldn't afford a $600 payment upfront for what I thought was simply a wellness exam, I felt like my financial situation determined the level of care my pets received. Responsible pet owners expect veterinary care to be expensive, but a routine checkup shouldn't come with an unexpected bill of hundreds of dollars, followed by several hundred more per animal for standard spay and neuter procedures.When I called to cancel both surgery appointments after learning the costs, one of the staff members was surprisingly rude and unprofessional. I clearly stated that I wanted to cancel appointments for both cats. However, only one appointment was canceled, and I continued receiving emails about the other appointment. As a pet owner, I was simply trying to do the responsible thing by ensuring my cats received the care they needed. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, misled, and disappointed by what I perceived to be excessive pricing, poor communication, and a lack of empathy. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with little confidence in recommending Ebert Animal Hospital to others. In addition of what I have experienced, I am only giving them one star

My wife and I just brought our Siberian husky dog here today…read more We are visiting family here in Ohio from Florida and he needed a bath/shower because we think we saw a flea in his fur. Anyways we brought him in washed him ourselves and we love it. 50pound dog $14.00, for owners that wash their pet. Well worth it. We used the flea and tick shampoo, they have a different variety of shampoos to choose from. His coat is nice and clean and smells good again. They have towels and really good strong blow dryers to dry ur pets fur. Works really well. And when you are washing them they have leash clip on's to keep them in the tub while you bath them. They have brushes there too for the fury babies. Also she recommended us to use the rake type brush for our hairy baby. They have rubber brushes too to brush them while they are all wet and it worked out well. Both ladies were very kind to us. And they also have aprons to wear. 100% A+. Dar's Dirty Dogs Business is amazing, outstanding, clean, excellent customer service and a wonderful place to bring your dog in for a bath/shower.
