The place is great. It has always been clean when I have been there and the girls there are great!!!!! They are always very helpful and friendly and it makes you feel very comfortable there (no matter how white you start out to be :), which I was). I have been going for about 2 months now and have a great tan. The only reason for 4 starts instead of 5 is if you come in the evenings you definitely have a wait (usually within 20 minutes you have a bed ready). But the wait will not make me quit going there and you cannot beat the price. read more

I am very unhappy with the customer service at the Campbell location! 1.When I first came in to sign up I showed up on the 5th of the month after the sales person sold me the level of tanning bed I wanted use then started me on the contract ( I told her I only needed 30 days) she didn't explain to me till the end when I was signing everything that I had to pay for two months since I had missed the billing cycle which starts on the first. I had spent so much time there anyways I figured screw it and signed up! 2. The sales girl assured me that they are never booked up (90% of the tme I have to wait 10-15 mins for a bed) and they don't set up appointments either to save customers time. 3. I have wet goggles left on my bed. Which mess up my make up plus thats just gross have something wet on your face! 4.The sales girl told me I would only have to come in a "day or two before I wanted to cancel". I went in a week earlier to let them know I wanted to cancel. They gave me this sheet of paper I was suppose to mail in "14 days" prior to canceling so I had to rush to the post office which made me late for work to send it certified mail! Pissed me off! It's now June 30 and I haven't heard from the Corp office to confirm my canceled contract. 5. Finally I was suppose to get a $10 credit that just got credited to my account a few days ago. A lot of good that does now that I am no longer tanning there! 6. You have to sign a 6 mth contract to get the deal that is $20.00 most people don't tan for that long. If I was forced to say something positive: The beds are nice, you can turn off the face tanning which most beds don't have. All and all this place isn't worth your money or your time! I love this place. I only go to the one in Campbell so I can't say anything abut the other locations but this place rocks. I have been going here for about 2 years and I have never loved any place more then this. I have the most expensive package so I am able to use any of the beds or the Beauty Angel (which I really love). The place is spectacular and clean and they have a ton of lotions if you want to buy one there. The girls are so friendly and remember me whenever I come in. I can not recommend this place anymore. If you have ever gotten that grossed out feeling about a new salon wondering if it clean or not, I ca guarantee you will not be disappointed here. This place is really great. read more

This location has been my tanning salon for about four months now, and I love it! To me, the best part about this place are the girls at the front desk. They are seriously the sweetest, most friendly and helpful ladies ever! When I first signed up, they gave me all the information I needed in order to pick the BEST plan for me (which WAS NOT the most expensive one). They also are really good at remembering who you are, which no matter what anyone says, it makes you feel really good! Especially to someone like me, who isn't great about staying consistent with going tanning. I love their beds, and use the level 3 bed most often. If anyone cares, their room 8 bed and room 3 bed are my favorite! The level 5 bed is awesome too, I just frequented that one less often. I also used their spray tan bed ALL THE TIME! I love it! It's quick and easy, has 3 different levels so you can pick which level you want, and it goes on even. It has a primer and moisturizer it sprays before and after, which is an awesome extra! It lasts awhile too, and I ALWAYS got compliments after using it. I love that it actually does make me dark, and then I can keep it up with going to the regular tanning beds until I need another spray tan again. I also have NEVER seen anything dirty about this location, EVER! The girls are always cleaning while I'm there. If it's not a bed, it's the floor. I always felt as if I was in a very clean environment. Unfortunately, I have recently had to relocate, so I'm bummed that I had to cancel my plan last month. Unlike one of the reviews below, the process was EASY and QUICK. I went into this location, they gave me a slip that I mailed into the corporate office, and within a week I got a phone call confirming my cancellation. There were no tricks or scams or anything. It was easy and the girl who gave me the information at the front desk was SO nice and helpful, even though I was having to cancel. All in all, this location is great and I would highly recommend coming here!! I would love if they opened one in LA! :) read more

I used to love this place. the beds are nice and i've never had a problem with cleanliness... but the cons outweigh the pros. The new monthly structure is horrible. It's great for a base tan but what about the people who don't want to be really dark and leathery? The billing is confusing as well, with 'special deals' that aren't actually specials, and there is lack of an explanation when you inquire. After my month of base tanning is up I'm going to a place that does sessions instead so i don't get overcharged per month for something i'll only use once a week. read more

Ive been with Australian for quite some time now and after all this time, Ive never had a bad experience. The girls at the front desk are always very outgoing and fun and it makes me want to come back daily. They have also been trained very well and know exactly what their talking about, and not making it seem like they are throwing information at you. They are there to give you the best deal based on what your looking for. The last time I went in, I was looking for a lotion that best fit my needs and the two brunettes, i think their names were Ashley and Danielle, were able to match my needs, including expense wise and tanning wise. definitely a 5-Star review read more

Horrible and unprofessional staff!!! The beds are bad too, unless you pay for highest level bed (which is not worth the price). The time before going this particular time, the bed did not seem clean, so I brought some antibacterial wipes to clean myself. It was disgusting how much filth was left on the wipes after wiping down the bed myself. Still was not going to say anything, but I did let one of the girls know that that a couple of bulbs are out. The girl started getting attitude and defensive saying that "that is impossible that there would have been an work order created for it"...so defensive and rude. She was basically calling me a liar! I was just letting them know as an FYI. That was the third time I was treated with bad service. I will NEVER go back! I still have tans left, but would rather lose out on the money than deal with this places rude staff and dirty beds. read more

Australian Tanning Company is THE WORST! I went in because I wanted to do just ONE month of tanning for a special occasion. I told this to the girl who was helping me and she "understood". She explained to me that if I signed up or a certain package it would be cheaper I would be able to cancel at the end of the month by sending in a form to the corporate office and they would call me to confirm. I opened the account the first week of July and had intensions of mailing in my cancelation later in the month so I would not be charged for the month of August and the month I wanted would be over. The girl ASSURED me this was simple, well she was wrong and now I wish I never listened to this girl. Around July 20th I mailed in my cancelation, which they told me would be enough time. I never heard from them to confirm cancelation and I was charged for another month on August 1st. During the time I was really busy with work and traveling so I decided to just let it go and maybe I can tan another month. This time I got another mailing cancelation form and mailed it on August 17th. Once again I never heard from them and was charged for another month on September 1st. Now I am out almost 90$ because I was wrongly informed by staff that this would be a simple procedure. You would think technology as up to date as it is you wouldn't need to send in a form through the post. It is just a scam that makes it impossible for you to cancel your membership. On top of that their staff is highly unprofessional not only miss informing their customers but always talking loudly about their personal lives while you wait to be helped. I should have gone somewhere else, and highly suggest you do too. I followed all directions given to me so I don't understand what all the trouble is. It has become a complete waste of time and money. Planet Beach or Willow Glen tanning never gave me these problems and their beds were much cleaner. read more

Love this place. My sister introduced me and its been awesome. I have only gone in twice but the customer service is awesome and the girls can answer any question. I used to go to Sole De Paradiso in Mountain View and glad I stopped. I went there almost 6 times and barely saw any color in their BEST bed ...only been to Australian Tan twice in their lowest bed and am seeing color already and I do not tan very easily. If its convenient for you to get there I definitely recommend it! read more

I come to this location because it's the closest to my house, even though I live in Los Gatos. I signed up at the Blossom Hill location and the girl at the front showed me all the beds, options, and lotions without sounding like she had said it a million times before. The girls at both locations are super nice and friendly and that makes me always want to come back because I feel welcome. For $65 a month I have all of the levels of beds to choose from and they all look clean and brand new. Although I must say my favorite part about tanning is not only using my JWOWW lotion, but the fact that every single bed has its own radio control and volume so I can blast my KRTY while tanning! If you have never tanned in your life and want to start, this is the place to go because they don't make you feel stupid for never doing it and they are very thorough about how to start tanning and be successful. To cancel the membership for this place besides send via mail the "paper" form and I just found out another ridiculous thing. Not sure if everyone was informed by the employees at the time you signed up or there are so many different kind of memberships to choose from, I was told by the corporate office that the membership cannot be cancel because it is a 12 month term membership. I told her that first of all, my girlfriend and I don't recall anything about it (the membership is for my girlfriend) and second my girlfriend moved to Texas, it would not make any sense for me to pay $70/mo for another 8 months for nothing .... She just said there is nothing they can do about it after over 15 minutes of explanation, at last I just told her that I will inform my bank to stop the payment because of fraud. I simply got robbed by this place with $70/mo for the past 2 months already .. read more

I've been to a crapload of tanning salons throughout the south bay and I've finally found one I can call home. This place is so clean and neat and offer all kinds of amenities and the girl I always see at the front desk (Jessica, I think?) can talk me into buying anything. So friendly, so bubbly. I use their level 3 bed and I love it. A little pricier than I'd like but well worth the price. Their lotions are pricey too but I like them and they smell goooood (a huge selling point for me... sad, I know). The parking isn't great but it depends on what time of day you go. You come out looking bronze, not orange. The first time I went, I mentioned that one of the bulbs in the bed was out and Jessica looked at me in disbelief and assured me they had ordered new bulbs and were expected to be in the following week. The next time I went (the following week), there they were. Shiny new bulbs and a little sign in each bed recommending a shorter tanning time to prevent overexposure. I had high expectations when coming in this past weekend to purchase a tanning package for myself and my boyfriend. Unfortunately we were EXTREMELY disappointed. For starters, when purchasing our packages, right before our credit card was swiped we were told there was an "initiation fee" for each of us. I felt like this fee should have been disclosed upfront. Why are they charging an initiation fee anyway?? I have tanned at many different places and have never been charged an initiation fee to tan! The sales lady was pushy about selling the more expensive packages and eventually convinced my boyfriend to purchase the more expensive monthly package (12 minute bed) when he didn't even have a base tan! He burned very from only being in the bed for 5 minutes! 5 minutes in a 12 minute bed is VERY, VERY different than 5 minutes in a 20 minute bed. The sales lady shouldn't have sold him that package in the more powerful bed-at the very least she should have explained that the 12 minute bed was more powerful. Overall, the sales ladies were not very educated about the packages they were selling or the tanning process in general. NOT IMPRESSED. read more
