I got a septum done by Alex and she was the best piercer I've ever experienced. She was very comforting and talkative and really explains the whole process to you before she starts the piercing process. The prices are also very reasonable and they offer a large selection of jewelry that you can purchase before starting the process and Alex shows you how the piercing will look on your face and helps you find a correct size. I went in a group of three where one friend got a nostril stud and another got nipple piercings and we all loved our experience with Alex. I'm very happy with my septum and the placement is perfect. It doesn't hang off my nose too low and I can flip it up to hide without it feeling uncomfortable at all. Definitely go to this place for any kind of piercing and book it with Alex! read more

I lucked out in the end when I found this place and my artist Dan. The first thing I noticed about this place was that there was no lame wall covered in stencils. What the walls ARE covered with is original paintings and artwork by the tattoo artists. The place is always buzzing and lively. I have sat for 10 short sessions so far and I have NEVER been the only person in the place getting work done. Consider that I go on weekdays around noon and you will get an idea of the huge following this place has. Good tunes and good people pumping out great work in a bunch of different styles. Most importantly...... No BS. 3 guys I work with, my next door neighbor, my sister, and my girlfriend, have all chosen Authentic Arts for their next tat after seeing my results. They were amazing. I walked in with a friend wanting a lily pad on the water, and when I called other places, the artists had no idea what to do. Jay listened to my description for about 30 seconds, then drew up something amazing. Overall, I love my tattoo - it looks incredibly realistic, while also artistic, and the detail is extraordinary. Emmi is knowledgeable, professional, and well practiced for piercings! The shop has a beautiful selection of jewelry and a separate room for full privacy. Emmi walked me through each step and explained what she was doing. I felt very comfortable and the pain was minimal. The prices are very reasonable (they accept cash and cards) and overall I look forward to returning to have my jewelry changed. Me and my friend went here for tattoos and I'm not complaining about the price of mine but my friend literally got a quarter size tattoo and they charged her $125! I've gotten bigger tattoos than that and was only charged $75! read more

I have gotten 5 of my tattoos done at this location. I am usually a walk in (I'll admit, my tattoos are usually a last minute, drastic decision) and I am always helped immediately in some capacity. I have had a few different artists work on me, Justin has done the most of mine and he is AWESOME. Everyone here is great in my opinion, as my friends have gone to other artists and have also loved their experiences. I find everyone here to be extremely friendly and I do not think I would go anywhere else for a tattoo at this point. Prices are also reasonable, even if they are more expensive I would prefer it because I KNOW they are going to use clean, safe equipment that will not harm me, which is a big deal to me. read more

Funny before I started this review I read some of the other reviews. One complained that you couldn't ask a question or make a comment without the staff making fun of you. That is absolutely true!!!! How can you get a good tattoo when you can't discuss or get professional feed back. Awful! They con their clients if the client isn't happy with the tattoo by only using water to make corrections and then laugh at the client when they leave. The owner should be in the shop because apparently he doesn't know what is really going on when he is not there. read more

I am so unhappy with this place, do not go if you're not looking to spend a ton of money. I went for two cartilage piercings. The shop is nice and clean but they only carry fancy earrings, not normal surgical steel piercings, so you have to buy their more expensive earrings before you get pierced. It came out to more money but at that point I was like whatever. BUT they put these weird backs on the earrings for swelling or something. I have many piercings and have never had that but again... whatever. They told me to come back a month later for new backs. I called a month later and asked if I need an appointment for that or if I can just stop in and the woman on the phone said I can come any time. I drove 25 minutes there and they tell me I have to come back with an appointment. I make the appointment and go back again that night. THEY CHARGE TO CHANGE THE BACKS. I walked out spending another $30 to have backs put on and they are not normal backs. Now I can't get the earrings off at all and one of the backs was so small it embedded in my ear. I have never had this much of a hassle with such a basic piercing. Do NOT recommend. read more

I got my first tattoo done here today, and honestly, I was really skeptical about the places I was going to go to. I saw their website and thought I'd check it out. The staff was extremely friendly, and was willing to accommodate me even though I was a walk in. The store was clean and professional, and they work efficiently. After I explained my idea, the artist that did my tattoo, printed out several sizes of the idea and let me chose which one I felt comfortable with. The whole process of paperwork, drawing things up, re sizing and tattooing took less than an hour. The artist knew it was my first tattoo, so he was very gentle and made me feel comfortable. Before he started tattooing, he showed me that everything he was using was unopened and that everything was covered in plastic to ensure me that it was sterile. So I came here for my first tattoo, and I love it. The artist did a great job and I do not regret coming here for it as I am happy with the work I received. My issue with this place is how rude and unfriendly nearly all of the employees are. I have been here numerous times, for my friends and for myself (tattoo, piercings, friends tattoos etc) and each time I am uncomfortable to even go in there because of the attitude I get every time. (also, was referred by a friend, and later discovered that I had family come to this same shop for there tattoo artwork). just by walking in I could tell this was the place for me.
