I had the best experience with Emmi at Authentic Arts! Let me start off but saying this is NOT your regular piercing shop. They are fully stocked with surgical grade, stunning, high quality, unique jewelry which you can even get pierced with. The jewelry they have is threadless/seamless sort of like a pin, so the piercing won't get micro tears and will heal safety. I'll have these pieces forever! Emmi was so professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. She explained each piece of jewelry to me, and took her time explaining the process for my new piercing. Emmi even helped me to plan and map out future ear piercings! The jewelry you select goes through a sterilization process prior to it being put in your body, you even sign your name on the sterilization test so you can see it passed before they pierce you with it! My conch piercing was quick and painless. Emmi even gave me a care sheet and set me up with a follow up date to put in a shorter post once the swelling goes down. On top of my wonderful experience with Emmi, Authentic Arts is above and beyond equipped for social distancing and COVID-19 safety. You ring a bell, fill out your paper work, and wait outside until a staff member is ready for you. Everyone was wearing masks and shields too! First things first, they were voted "best of long island". If that doesnt catch your eye than i will go into detail. Besides their fabulous art work and technique, they give you an all around great and COMFORTABLE experience, whether youre getting your first tattoo/piercing or you are there for number 50. From the second you walk through those doors you are treated like family. When getting a tattoo, it is important to research no only technique of artists but the cleanliness of a shop. Which i believe is far more important. Tattoos will remain on you for life, and at this shop you can absolutely be assured that they will not only give you an amazing piece, but it will be done in a CLEAN environment. He took the time to listen to my ideas, offered helpful suggestions, and helped me refine the design to make it exactly what I was looking for. His creativity and attention to detail are second to none. What impressed me the most was his precision and speed. Despite being so fast, Connor's hands are remarkably gentle, making the whole process more comfortable than I expected. AMAZING shop, with amazing artists. Their work speaks for itself, and they are all very personable and friendly! Tommy is the man!!! I cant speak enough on how great of a dude he is and the quality of his craft!!! On a side note, I recently purchased Authentic Arts sweatpants. Amazing design and the comfort of these..OH MAN!!! Been free balling in these pants because of how comfortbale they are (yes I wash them...occasionally). Im not one to normally do this, but it feels like youre wearing a cloud. Putting these pants on after a long 9-5 is my paradise. Allows me to really get in that comfort zone.. I have gotten over 10 tattoos done in this shop and have been given nothing but exceptional service every single time. All the guys here are friendly and mean well. If they are giving you their opinion and you don't like it at least you can appreciate the constant honesty. Tommy has done every tattoo of mine except one that Dan did and I love them all. I have 15 tattoos and they have me keep coming back for more! Jimmy and Click are amazing piercers and they make sure you are as comfortable as possible. I just got an amazing tattoo from Tommy at Authentic Arts Tattoo and Piercing. I brought in a very thin, complicated design and, instead of saying "no way", he used his incredible talent to revise it and make it tat-ready. I ended up with exactly what I wanted, and then some! He was incredibly professional, as were the other artists there. Tommy worked quickly, with intense attention to detail. The shop is clean, beautiful, bright, and features body piercing and an art gallery. The vibe is relaxed and classy - perfect! This is the most professional group of artists out there! I got a tattoo from Dan and he truly cares about the work of art. I have been to a few shops on Long Island where the tattoo "artist" cared more about making a quick buck. He really took the extra time to make sure i got exactly what I want. I will never be going to another tattoo shop! Price was awesome, fair and worth every penny. The shop is extremely clean and well taken care of. This is soon to be Long islands Best tattoo shop. The shop is super clean and the decor is very relaxing and homey. The artists were extremely helpful and patient the last time I had gone into a tattoo shop that was not the case. They changed my whole perception on the experience. My sister referred me to this tattoo place, and I was impressed by the overall ambiance when I visited. The staff was accommodating and professional, ensuring I was comfortable throughout my tattoo session. While I appreciate the quality of their tattoos, I feel that the prices are pretty high. Even for a small word tattoo, the cost can be $200. Had an awesome experience at the shop! Made an appt for a navel piercing consultation and Alexandra was super helpful, professional and knowledgeable! Wasn't sure if I had the best navel anatomy to be pierced but she confirmed an inverse navel piercing would work best for me! She was able to pierce me immediately following the consultation. Love this place! Went here for my first tattoo about a year ago and had a great experience. All the tattoo artists are great and my tattoo came out amazing. I go to school up in albany and when i decided i wanted another tattoo I drove the 4 hours back down to this place because of how great my first one came out. My son and I "lucked into" AA after being turned away by another shop (too busy). We met Gary who was great. He did an awesome job with our simple Kanji tattoos. He was careful, precise, had good suggestions and inspired confidence.. He was also an easy-going, good-natured and funny guy. Sebastian was the artist who did my small tattoo. I absolutely LOVE it! My siblings and friends have also gotten work done by Sebastian and Tommy, each piece has been phenomenal. The shop is clean, consistent, friendly and accommodating. Piercings by Jimmy's Beard are also highly recommended. This is by far the best tattoo/piercing place I've been to on the island.
