I got my tattoo done here about 2 weeks ago and I waited to post this so I could show it healed!!! I walked in after seeing the shop while I was downtown and they were so chill and able to get me in for a walk-in. The shop is really modern and cool and clean. He did nice clean work and was very nice and they helped me pick and font and size. It was nice they let me hold up a couple versions to get a good idea even though I wasn't getting anything huge or serious they took it seriously which meant a lot. Amazing Artists!!! I was looking for a place to have a small old tattoo covered up. After a little research I came across Fountainhead. Phil was great. He took my idea for a cover up and created a really great design. I ended up going back a few weeks later to expand on the work he did initially. Now I'm back again to have my calf sleeve completed. I had a great experience at foundationhead. When me and my cousin called to see if we could just walk in last minute and get tattoos they were totally accommodating and were willing to take us in. Once we got there all the staff we spoke with was extremely nice and made us feel comfortable. The artists are all super talented and the building itself is really clean and you can tell they make sanitation a top priority. I am more than pleased with how my tattoo turned out, and overall I have no complaints. I would highly recommend this place. read more

The artwork was really good. I was very happy with how my tattoo turned out. However, I was never told there was a $200 minimum on tattoos. Maybe it's my fault for not asking, but usually it's $100 at other places. So I paid $200 for a one word small tattoo. The place itself was nice and the art was good, but I just wish they would be open about that when scheduling the appointment. read more

i came here friday the 13th because i really wanted a simple tattoo. i called before going in, and they were able to take me as a walk in which was great since i had called a few other people. the place was very clean, nice looking & very modern. i was tattooed by Hunter, and he did great (given it was a tiny tattoo, but his work was amazing). The heart isn't perfect but i didnt want it to be. the only negative thing is their hourly rate is 250, and for a "minimalist" tattoo, it's 200. i wish i would've known before entering.. i definitely could have left but i was already there and felt committed. so i paid all this money for a tiny little heart i could've got elsewhere for a FRACTION of the price. all in all, i had a great experience and i love my tattoo. read more

Today I visited Fountainhead NY tattoo shop in Huntington, NY with my daughter. This was my very first tattoo. When stepping into the shop, I was so impressed on how clean and inviting it was. James greeted us at the front desk and was very helpful in telling me all about the tattoo salon and helped me decide on what design I was getting. We returned back at our appointment time and was introduced to our tattoo artist Matt. Matt has many years of experience and does amazing work. I decided on a small sun on my ankle and he did a great job. He used single needle and the detail came out perfect. My daughter decided on a moon with small stars within the moon. From the outside storefront to the modern unique interior, this tattoo shop is nothing like you've ever seen before. A variety of merchandise from apparel, to hand crafted leather coasters/wallets/hats, and "Good Art" handmade gold and silver jewelry that you can't get anywhere else than here and 2 other locations (in Manhattan). James was so helpful in setting up my appointment and engaged in conversation which made me feel less anxious about the pain I was going to endure. The tattoo stations are all super clean and sanitary and there's plenty of space between stations so you're not on top of anyone else getting tattooed. I saw Matt for my tattoo and the amount of detail that he put into it was far beyond my expectations. He made just an idea I had into reality! He took his time and definitely impressed me with his artistic abilities. I requested Matt based on his large following on social media and art I've seen online. He even sells water color paintings he does on the side. I definitely recommend booking an appointment in advance because he highly in demand for tattoos.
