I have been coming here for 9 months now and for me it was a really tough choice as to where to go. I was looking for someone who could accommodate my neck injuries, as well as immune disorder as well as help me strengthen my body! I came to her business with 2 plates as well as screws in my neck and 2 bars in the back of my neck. Melissa was wonderful. she worked with me and was so patient during my struggles. There were times where I just couldn't make it because I was sick or I was just struggling with my injuries because they were that bad. Melissa understood this and explained that investing in yourself takes commitment, so she created a package for me that me and my body could handle. I was scared to try something like this because I spent a year recovering in my bed from these surgeries. I'm so glad I stuck it out and that I was able to find a compassionate instructor who invested in me as much as I invested in her. If you want an instructor that has your best interest at heart and is knowledgeable about how to handled injuries, Then choose Melissa and her place of business. I'm so glad I did.

Long story short I couldn't get into a class for over 2 weeks. Melissa is always confrontational and immediately defensive when you have any kind of concern. I had already paid for a $800+ package so I sucked it up ‍. Fast forward after traveling for work, I cannot book my classes when I should've around 18 left. She states my classes have expired. I start to mention I thought they didn't expire, which is why I signed up... she cuts me off immediately defensively saying all packages expire and bla bla bla. Essentially robbing me $400. As someone with a busy schedule, I wouldn't have paid 800 dollars for something that can expire. I thought small businesses were supposed to be friendly, welcoming people. I didn't argue because it's not worth it, she calls me 10 mins later and says she would give me the remaining classes if I pay for 10 more I tried so hard to like this place because it's 5 mins from my house

I wasn't ready for this commitment and emailed the staff quickly after signing. They explained that I did sign and that's that, although they could cancel the payments for a $100 cancellation fee! That didn't make any sense to me. I was genuine and just wanted to cancel, happy to pay full price for what I had taken. They just wanted my money. The woman I spoke with, very kindly, explained she had mentioned this after the intro class and made sure everyone heard. I admit she probably did! And I must admit there is a lot happening during and after class. My attention at the time was focused on moving through the room to collect my things and leave for the day. My attention was not on her at the time. I decided they can keep my money since I guess they need it more than I do, and I stuck with the classes. With that being said, in the same vein of that disappointing experience, I must say these are FANTASTIC CLASSES and why I've rated 5 star! The women are knowledgeable with their adjustments and assisting the movements, their queuing is specific, the classes are always tough and great for toning/muscle building. The facility is clean and set up nicely. The front desk staff are sometimes instructors too, and like what they do. Another weird money issue I had with them is midway through my few months contract, I had to freeze my account and sent an email to staff. They got back to me quickly, which was helpful, saying that'd be fine and there's a $15 fee for that. I understood, yet it is frustrating as a person who's already paying a good sum of $ for their classes. I know it's corporate to do things like this - have contracts, charge fees, and have lots of disclosures. And I know Pure Barre isn't the only one doing this, it's just discouraging that in order for me to get a good work out it's SO expensive! Overall, my experience with Pure Barre is a toss up. I'd go to another class bc the classes are great as well as the instructors, yet the nuances of payment didn't work for me.

So far I've gotten numerous harassing calls, unending emails and nasty people on the phone when I explain that I didnt come back for any of the 4 classes which by the way cost about $100.00 The bills that they send me for $178.00 do not stop and I have no idea what it is for. When I call I get no answers and they tell me I owe the money. Money for what? I did one free trial class I am forced to now get a lawyer after begging them to stop the harassment Do yourself a favor and do not sign up for anything Its a huge scam. The instructors (Tattiana and Giovanna in particular) are warm, welcoming and super professional, no matter what walk of life you're coming from you'll feel comfortable. Classes are small, I would say average 7 people, but most times less, which allows you to get more individual attention. The barre classes are really what I love about Gold Coast. I was a little intimidated going into the first one, having no dance background and little pilates background. But it was nothing to be intimidated by. Don't get me wrong its hard work and you definitely feel the burn but its totally do able. Within the first two weeks I started to feel changes as far as muscle; I haven't lost any weight from it yet (a little over a month in) but I definitely feel a lot stronger and can do the moves for a lot longer. Pilates studios in general tend to be a little expensive but they offer packages that make it a little easier on your wallet. They also offer a package of 3 classes for $30 for new members which I would totally recommend to try the classes out. You have to go more then just once to give it a fair chance!

The studio is also bright and clean and I was welcomed in by the owner who was friendly and helpful. While other studios let you take reformer class barefoot, they are very strict about their sock policy. My first class I came without since other studios I've never been to a studio with this requirement. Be sure to come prepared with your own or to purchase at the front desk.

I found the best time is 12-2 but even then it's usually still pretty busy. Big ass parking lot and also next to another huge parking lot (with chipotle and açaí bowls) so that's great. Often machines are out of service but they get fixed relatively fast now. Barely anyone cleans the machines so I've resorted to bringing my own Lysol wipes. I will say tho lots of googley eyed men go there so women beware, the gym has no control over that but just as a friendly warning to the women, they lurk

I went in looking for information to potentially sign up so i just moved back to the area after over a decade. Already from the moment I sat down I could tell something was off, he proceeded to show me their different plans and was just barreling through a half asses explanation that was different than the plans shown on their website. Anytime I had a question or brought up a discrepancy in the information he gave compared to their website he seems to get more and more agitated. As I was still trying to decide what the best option might be for me I asked to start with a trial membership and was told no straight up and that he could give a trial membership to a friend or family after I sign up. Again I said that their website had the option and he retorted that I had mentioned being a guest once before so why would I need a trial membership when I've worked out at one of their gyms as a guest before and all of their gyms are the same. I'm sorry but isn't it common to want to try something out before making a big commitment, ESPECIALLY to a gym that is not that cheap. I was very taken aback by his tone and aggressive demeanor and requested to speak with someone else. Again he said "NO". From what I gather his sales tactic is to bombard with information and make you say yes before you know what you've signed up for. Extremely aggressive sales rep and extremely rude. Honestly, I probably dodged a bullet because every review I've seen after that encounter was negative talking about how dirty it is and how the equipment is always broken and how rude, aggressive and pushy the staff is. I would give zero stars if I could. Unfortunate because the location is convenient but I'll have to find a place that has staff customer service skills and is not so run down. DO NOT GO HERE!
