First time trying Thai Massage, got it from Groupon. My masseuse was May, tiny but mighty. Did the deep tissue and stretching massage, it is very good. The massage did cover all areas, even the hidden spots (buttock, inner, outer thighs, triceps, n toes) unlike the regular massage, majority focus on the visible tight spots (shoulder, back, & calves). She also used a "hammer" to loosen some tight areas and special thai ointment? oil? and some cooling ointment - maybe tiger balm (saw it) but not sure if it was used, since it didnt smell like it. Overall the massage was great, but the place is a bit shabby and super TINY! Eventhough the place inside have a claming and relaxing atmosphere. The outside wasnt anything like a spa shop. The entrance area is about 2.5 feet wide (door to divider). Once your in the massaging tables (only 2) area (right after the divider) there is no curtain or anything for undressing. The masseuse stepped outside of the room completely while i was changing, but when we're done she just excuse herself behind the divider. While leaving, the next customer was waiting at the hallway/corrider.

Authentic Thai massage! I haven't been able to find a place in NY that is similar to what I have experienced in Thailand. This place used to be called Dunsee and the owner decided to focus on teaching Thai massage instead of only doing massages. They do fewer massages now but they are just as good. I thought they closed because I couldn't find Dunsee anywhere... I'm so happy to have found them again. I suffer from tension migraines and the Thai massage on the mat helps. This time after hearing about my issues She recommended a table massage. It was incredible. It still involves movement which is what I love about Thai massage. I left feeling a bit better. The space is clean but not very luxurious -- but that's not why you are going here. You are going here to get an incredible massage and leave. The prices are very good. Great way to decompress.

After researching physical therapists near Gramercy, I took a chance on Strive and was not disappointed! So grateful for them! I have had 4 appointments and found these positive attributes: 1) Accept Insurance- such a plus honestly! They will pair medical procedure like acupuncture tire/cupping/ chiropractor with the 30 minutes sports massage. Very transparent with prices and what insurance does and doesn't cover. 2) Always on time and efficient! I've never waited more than 5 minutes 3) I've had 4 separate massage therapists, and each one was great! Not a bad sports massage to date Only negative Ive found is as much as I can see his positive intentions, Xing Xhang LAC acupuncturist seems to rush through his procedures. Specifically with acupuncture, patient is always left with the emergency button and after 3 visits, I finally asked what to do in the event of an uncomfortable needle or emergency and he THEN went and got an emergency button. Wish I could give it 4.6 stars and not just 4 or 5....

They have chiropractors, acupuncturists, masseuses, trainers, nutrition, and physical therapists all in one place at their Midtown East location right out of the 6 train. I personally have been experiencing some lower back pain for almost a year due to improper postures and prolonged sitting. A family friend (who ran 10+ marathons) recommended Total Strive Wellness and Dr. Tiffany and my experiences so far have nothing but spectacular! I saw Dr. Tiffany Gunawardena and her colleagues, Dr. Michael Natal, Dr. Zhang, and have had massages from Christina and Zach for about two months. During my first session, someone from the front desk explained to me how my insurance works. After that, each session was a combo of chiropractic care with either massage, acupuncture and or PT as I progress in my journey. One thing I notice and appreciate the most is that the doctors have their share of/personal experiences with pain before. This makes them great doctors, as they can understand and sympathize with the patients. Coupled with their experiences and expertise, this makes them so exceptional! Dr. Tiffany has helped my back tremendously during the last two months. She has provided tips that made my work from home office ergonomic, improved my sleeping environment, recommended supplements, as well as analyzed what sports (and how much) I should and shouldn't do. Dr. Michael Natal really understands and has had a lot of experiences treating back conditions such as mine. He was able to pinpoint and massaged out my knots and significantly improved my pain, in addition to teaching me the core exercises. After two months, one of the most obnoxious knot that was lingering in my lower right back has dissolved. I woke up this morning feeling like a new person. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for this team's care! To sum: - Go see Dr. Tiffany, Dr. Natal, Dr. Zhang and all the masseuses at this place!! - Trust this team's evaluations - Follow the doctors recommendations, buy their tools and make improvements in your environment - Last but not least, trust the process and do every stretch and exercise they tell you to do Cheers to people feeling better!

You sign in at the lobby, then take an elevator up to the reception. I was running a little late and they were accommodating to start a little after the hour (they do mention when booking if you arrive late you forfeit the time, which makes sense since there may be customers booked after your spot). My masseuse (sorry I forgot her name!) was wonderful, very patient in waiting for me to arrive, asking if I wanted any water or tea, explaining the process and asking if I liked soft, medium or firm pressure. The pressure was accurate to my selection and she really worked on some of those knots! Felt decently sore the next day as I expected. The spaces - reception and treatment room were both set up nicely, clean and comfortable. I will say the bathrooms (which may have been shared with the rest of the floor) were a bit tight and could've been in better shape. It was the coldest day of December and my long, heavy coat was a bit hard to manage inside the bathroom stall. Didn't deduct any stars here since I'm not sure this is something they can control directly in case of a shared facility. *When I originally called to book, I thought it was interesting that they directed me to book on the website giving the reason that they'd need to take my credit card number over the phone if booking via call, versus entering my credit number online. While I appreciate the flexibility and security of passing my cc number over a website this also meant signing up for another website which usually means I'll get marketing emails that I may or may not be interested in at some point or another (aka spam). So I'm not sure if this was a persuasive selling point bc we could all use a few less marketing emails these days.

It starts with the building, which is rough- there isn't even a dedicated lobby. And the bathrooms? Disgusting. That matters more than you'd think, because instead of sheets you lie on one of those thin, cheap white towels. I actually watched a masseuse rinsing one out in the bathroom sink afterward with the hand soap. Not exactly confidence-inspiring. The massage itself was just okay. The room was freezing, and I'm not convinced Nan, who did mine, fully understood what she was doing. I would bet she's not even licensed. I booked a Swedish massage, but "a little more pressure" somehow turned into go-crazy-intense deep tissue. She also spent a strange amount of time on my legs, it felt less like a spa massage and more like the quick rub-down you get at a nail salon. If this were a budget spot, fine. But it's not priced like one. The lack of basic etiquette sealed it. When the massage ended, I hopped off the table and was putting my jewelry back on when Nan knocked exactly once and barged right back in. No water offered. She thrust the card machine at me, and as I went to pay she stepped in so close I had to actually ask her not to hover over me. Nothing about this felt relaxing or professional. There are far better places to spend your money.

Coco was the first therapist who not only heard what I was saying but figured out precisely where my body was failing me. There are plenty of well-trained massage therapists who will deliver the textbook experience, but in over 20 years of various deep tissue, Thai, shiatsu, etc. massages, I can count on one hand the number of therapists with this uncanny ability to find the exact pressure points that need release. Coco is that rare person and I'd recommend her wholeheartedly. I was sore, to be sure, but that night I slept without pain for the first time in months. The booking experience is entirely online (though I suppose you can call). The ambience is chill vibes. Would definitely recommend and repeat if the need arises again.

I had previously seen a physical therapist over 4 visits, to no relief, and never considered sports massage therapy. I booked with Vincent for my third visit after reading reviews about his ability with shoulder pain specifically. After two visits with Vincent over the course of 3 -4 months, my shoulder pain has gone away. Crazy thing is I don't even know when it went away. But I do know that after both visits I felt better circulation. Something, I can't say what exactly, but something always felt better. I did like the first two therapists and felt I was on the right track with sports massage, but I had the best connection with Vincent. One year later, which was last week, I went to see him again for overall upper body health and circulation. Vincent is professional, kind, and is knowledgeable about human physiology.
