From the get go, Angela was a total professional who gave me terrific service. And when I found the right car, she closed the deal for a great price within a half hour and I drove it home two hours later. What an exceptional service! 10/10! If you're on the fence, hear me out. When I began my search for a new car, I chose this company because, unlike other brokers, they don't accept money from dealerships, which would have been a clear conflict of interest. I was also dissapointed at salesmen giving me incoherent deals (something that I realized after running the numbers down myself). The thought of haggling with salesmen all day drained my soul. I specifically wanted a three row family Japanese-made car because of its best in reliability. I had my eye on a brand-new car ($51k starting msrp) with a limited-time 0 - 0.9% APR offer. Nothing short of amazing. I had a lease that was coming to an end and needed help to end the lease a few months early. The manufacture had some crazy clauses with turning in a lease. In steps Matt, which I call "the guru of used cars". He has years of experience with the use car market. He was able to negotiate an amazing deal. He got them to absorb the remaining payments and got me a residue check from the dealer. Usually it's the other way around. When the buyer turns the lease in early, they pay an early cancelation fee and a lease return fee. Matt turned that process upside down. You can't go wrong with Authority Auto, either at the beginning of the process or the end. I've used their services multiple times over the years and has always been a satisfied client. So I had a stupid idea to buy a car during a pandemic where there were massive issues with supply chains and inflation. Instead of talking me down from that ledge, a friend suggested I try Authority Auto to help lessen the blow of dealer markups and lack of inventory. I was skeptical at first...why would I pay someone $895 to do something that I could do? After running into $10,000 mark ups at all the local dealers, I figured their fee was a small price to pay if they could save me a lot of money. Eventually, it also saved me a lot of time and sanity as well because I hate haggling and negotiating. Within a day of signing up on their website, I was immediately contacted by Vincent D, who ended up becoming my point person for the entire process. I paid the $200 retainer on December 15th and on the 31st, Vincent had found me the exact model, color, and interior that I had asked for...and they were able to negotiate down to only $3,000 over sticker price...for a car that is virtually out of stock throughout the entire country. Throughout the process Authority Auto was very helpful, communication was very thorough, and they even brought in their other experts (shout out to Matt who was awesome!) to help me with my trade in. It was the easiest process ever to buying a car...all I had to do once the car arrived was write a check and sign paperwork. There was a misunderstanding at the end that almost soured the experience, but they boast their integrity and that won out in the end. Just make sure the lines between their car buying service and trade in department don't get blurred. Just got my car a little less than a month ago, and so far so good! I was looking for a pretty common car, but what was uncommon was that I was able to get one with very low miles! I contacted authority auto to have a look. Customer service was exceptional. They ended up knowing my mechanic I took the car to do an inspection before buying. Does it have fancy upgrades and other stuff I would have loved, no, but do I have the surety that the car is in good condition, yes. My trusted mechanic rated the cars condition as a 9/10. I was bummed the issue with the transmission and the damage on the left front bumper wasn't disclosed and only was discussed after we brought it up after our mechanic did some digging around, but again, I was confident in my decision because the mechanic that fixed the transmission is the same person my mechanic takes his own cars to and have known each other for years. Other then that, they were very accommodating to my late night schedule and patient in "holding" the vehicle for me while having a longer then expected time setting up an account with the credit union. Matt and his assistant Mohamed are exceptional and were the icing on the cake. I found another bigger car with low miles that wasn't much more and had all of the bells and whistles, but I trust Matt and in the end purchased my car with them. I'm so happy and confident in my decision that I've referred a couple colleagues who are looking for cars as well. I've just had the best experience buying a new truck I've ever had. I had gone into a local car dealership a few weeks ago to research and test drive a new vehicle and felt like a child thrown into a wading pool filled with great white sharks. Angela was friendly, professional, and supportive. This was by far the least stressful, smoothest car purchase I have ever experienced. You pay them, they work for you....not the dealership. I really don't understand buying a vehicle any other way. Angela got the dealership a significant amount below MSRP, which more than covered the cost of Authority Auto's services. I wish I could have used this service but was never able to. I filled out their online form twice in June (received auto-confirmation that they received the form). I never heard back from them but started to get marketing emails. I called a few times early this month (July) and left a VM but never received a call back. I finally resorted to sending an email and was contacted by Angela via email - I was excited to finally get a response. She asked me about my availability so that she didn't have to play phone tag (I don't want to either). I gave her some time slots to choose from. She replied back that she'd call during a time that was not included in my response - sighs. I replied back that I was not available and restated my availability. She said she would call later that evening but never did. I am over them now and won't be using or recommending their service. I have four associates that are looking to buy new cars and I could have referred this service - no way will I do that now. I can only imagine the frustration of having paid them and dealing with this level of service. Starting to think some of the glowing reviews may not be legit but who knows. read more
