I used to live in Redding but now live in Idaho and my last manager was stealing money left and right. Although Authority Property Management only manages 9 of my units, I can sincerely say that they act like I'm the only customer they have. They give me the attention I need when I need it and handle the property for me when I want to be hands off. Authority Property Management is the best decision I could have possibly made! I'm a first time landlord and I do not live in the same city as my property. I knew I wanted to have a property manager to look after my home. The home required some updates, repairs, cleaning etc before we were to rent out the property. The worst place possible to rent from. We previously read someone else having the issue of them keeping the deposit after move out so we went above and beyond when we moved out. They took all $1900 except for $42. We repaired all holes, paint matched, cleaned everything and even repaired blinds and did all the landscaping. Was charged for all of that then even the air conditioner. Which I have no idea what was wrong with the ac since it was a swamp cooler. They said they replaced all carpet which was $1500 and that carpet was so old when we moved in. It was an extremely old house that we took pride in and fixed everything that happened as it came. I am very disappointed. Not to mention when it came I had to pay the mailman because they didn't put enough postage stickers on it. I downloaded yelp just for this. I don't leave reviews. read more

It was in July and it was extremely hot about 107' and my AC unit wasn't working. I'm raising two of my grandkids they are both asthmatic, however one is severely asthmatic and he needs the cold air to help him with his breathing, so it is vital a necessity that my AC unit is working properly. It was late so I left a message online for Authority Property and they were on it. In the morning Authority did contact me and a gentleman from a AC company came to fix my AC unit. The blower motor need to be replaced and the part needed to be approved because of the price the next morning the part was being installed and we had our AC unit working agin. DON'T RENT FROM THEM, THEY WILL CHEAT YOU OUT OF YOUR DEPOSIT!!!! When my family moved out, we spent hours cleaning the house, ensuring it was as perfect as possible... We got back 600 of our 1500 deposit, claiming that they required 10 hours of cleaning and had to replace/fix the blinds and light cover in the kitchen... but there WERE no blinds or light covers in the kitchen, except for the ones that WE had bought and used... We're taking them so court soon, hopefully, but DON'T LET THEM CHEAT YOU NEXT!!! read more
