Very rude and gave me my car back knowing they damaged my parking brake! It wasn't damaged when I left it! Not only was my parking brake broke my car was towed because the completely damaged my car! They did no diagnostic or anything yet charged me for things that was under warranty! Never said they were going to put on a $600 charge without my permission and never explained why! I was only there because of work that I paid $3000 for the didn't last and I had to take it back and they damaged my vehicle more and won't accept responsibility! I'm from out of town. They were able to determine what parts they would need (and might need) to repair my AC blower. When the parts came in (my Mercedes is 30 years old but getting parts only took a day) I brought it in and they worked me in to get me back on the road as soon as possible. They only charged me for the parts they actually needed. They did a great job and everything works as it should. read more

Great people that I trust on our 23 year old E320 Wagon. You must schedule your service as they have limited parking or storage. They prefer OEM parts and that can cause delays. I have used them several times and will use them again. read more

Brought my car in for some repairs to the gasoline / evaporation system...wasn't entirely sure what was wrong. However, they were able to isolate and fix the problem, and thus enable the idiot light to go off. Very pleased with their service and highly recommend this auto repair shop. read more

Excellent Service! I own a 1988 Mercedes 560SL and couldn't get it to go into reverse but it would drive in forward gears. I was told by other transmission shops that the reverse gear was probably disabled and the repair would be costly. After talking to the people at Auto Benz I felt at ease taking it there for the first time. The next day I received a call and their first words were "good news" the left-front brake caliper was the culprit and costs were minimal. I will definitely be going there for future repairs. I towed my '95 Mercedes C280 here after it made a loud noise, smoked upon start and wouldn't start again. I got a call within 2 hours that all it was were some lines disconnected resulting in an obstructed air flow. They had reconnected everything and didn't charge me for even inspecting the car. I was elated! I decided to leave the car with them and requested their full inspection for $150/hour (they have another for $87/hour) which will give me an itemized list of work needed ordered by priority. This place is family-owned and customer service was very friendly. I chose them based on their website - which I felt was honest and no-nonsense. Rating 1 star as Customer Service has been stated as this shops priority; briefly I would tend to agree if your talking about obtaining discounted prices compared to a dealership with your A/B service. Although being lower on the ticket doesn't make up for the added service provided by dealer of timeliness even w/o the free loaners....Not a true repair center, had my car towed to the shop only to be told sorry I'm booked all week if someone doesn't show up I get you in. Lesson learned on ratings, scheduled service possibly 5 star, real repair required for a daily or semi daily driver 1 star. read more

First I have to admit that I haven't yet brought my car in here for repair, though I plan to. I have spoken to this shop several times on the phone in preparation of some repairs though, and they have been FABULOUS to deal with. Was it a fluke? I doubt it, as there have been a few calls back and forth and I've dealt with more than one employee. I found they've returned my calls promptly, answered all my questions, offered advice, advice that included alternative mechanics and solutions in order to quickly resolve my problem, and never once rushed me off the phone. The best thing about Autobenz, apparently they LOVE older model Mercedes and have a great deal of experience working on them! They seem honest, upfront with their pricing, limitations if any, and even offered a guesstimate diagnosis over the phone and estimated what the ultimate charge for its repair might be! Try finding a shop that will say anything more than, "we can't say anything til we look at the car m'am." Understandable to some degree, but it can be a big help knowing whether you're likely facing a $200 repair or a $2700 repair! At least it is for me. I was originally referred to this shop by someone who has a bit of experience with them. They didn't hesitate to recommend Autobenz and felt they were an "honest" repair shop as well as a highly competent one! I'll be taking my 40 year old Mercedes here for some repair work soon. Have brought my old diesel merc in for regular service, restoration work, repairs, Etc. they always give me options, tell me what I need to fix vs can wait, and are very good at what they do. Here is an example. Headliner was falling down near back window. They suggested we just put some screws into it to hold it up (charged me next to nothing for it) instead of an expensive headliner replacement.
