First of all this location is busy on Saturdays! If possible, come during the week and save yourself some time of waiting or make an appointment. Staff is friendly and told me what to replace when my vehicle did not initially pass visual inspection. I went to get the replacement parts and was able to bring the vehicle to retest and pass later on the same Saturday.

Fast and efficient smog check. Recommended by my muffler shop after my catalytic converter got stolen from my Prius. They took care of my meeds and passed without issues. I will see them back next tine.

Best smog check in Orange County! Best prices in town & the service is unbeatable. These guys work very hard and stay late and get it done. Wouldn't go elsewhere. You'll be in great hands ! Owner is one of the most honest people. Give these guys a shot !

He was very kind and knowledgeable on all the cars that would come in for a smog while I was waiting. I was in and out within 1 hour due to having 5 people ahead of me. I was looking for a place to smog an older vehicle (pre OBD2) and I couldn't find any shops near me that were reasonably priced until I called Brothers smog. The employees are very kind and helpful. I was able to get my car smogged quickly, considering my car takes a lot longer than the newer vehicles. I highly recommend Brothers smog for the pricing and customer service. read more

Friendly staff, fast smog check, they inspect my car and I asked why? They responded " cold air intake, or any modifications" paraphrasing.. standard $60, honest and I don't think I was there longer than 20 min. Probably not even 15min, but my car is clean, and 2017.. they are also certified, for the DMV.. read more

I have never done a Smog before so I really can't rate it composting other places. It what I can say is that the Owner Fabian is a really great person. He was very kind and knowledgeable on all the cars that would come in for a smog while I was waiting. I was in and out within 1 hour due to having 5 people ahead of me. I initially drove to Santa Ana to hit up another smog shop, and it was closed early, though it said it was open online. Then, I went to another one down the street that said it was supposed to be open, but it was closed also. Finally, I went to Brother's Smog, and I hit the jackpot. Fabian was very informative, helpful, and thorough. He was good-natured, and he seemed to do a meticulous job of looking at the engine bay. These guys are fantastic. They are honest and hard working. I went for smog check and my battery died. They did everything possible to get it started and after 30 minutes, they were able to get it going (I drive a German car and it's a pain to jump start) and they didn't charge me any extra. I've take a few cars to them for smog and will continue to take my vehicles there. Their service is awesome and the whole staff is friendly and honest. read more

They were having some issues with the smog machine needed to smog my pre-2000 Ford Escort Wagon so I ended up having to wait a few days for their repairman to get the part to fix it before I could get my smog check, but these guys are super friendly and they kept me informed the whole time. Some of the other smog stations I called really seem to price gouge for pre-2000 smog checks and these guys were very reasonable so I stuck it out with them and and they took care of me. Three other local stations I called also had broken smog equipment so they couldn't give me a pre-2000 smog test and they sent me away with no help at all, but these guys went the extra mile to keep in touch with me, get their equipment back in working order, and get my car the smog test I needed. I overheard the technician conversing with another guy that had failed his smog test previously and they seemed genuinely interested in providing him with useful repair advice on what he should do to get his car to pass smog. It seems like they appreciate their customers and really want to help them out and make them feel welcome, not just take their money as fast as possible and kick them out the door. read more

Car needed an emissions test for a SoCal Program and they were able to locate exactly what I needed. They know what they're doing here and double checked a memo they got for STAR testing for specific programs to make sure that they were servicing me correctly. All of this took less than 45 minutes. Good people. read more

I called Brother's Smog to make an appointment for a star certified smog check. Fabian was really friendly on the phone and told me that I could come in 15 minutes. He also told me that it is attached to the Mobil gas station. There weren't any signs that listed "Brother's Smog" on the building, so it was great that he told me that. There were a couple cars ahead of me, but he asked if I had just called. Because I made the appointment, he took care of me right away. You could just tell that he really enjoyed his job. He was so nice and in such a great mood. He told me that I could walk around and that my car would be done in 20 minutes. I walked to the Dollar General store that was next door and shopped. I came back 20 minutes later, and my car was ready to go. Also, I mentioned that I had found his company on Yelp, and he gave me a discount. Fabian made the ordeal painless and easy. I will definitely come here again for my next smog check and will recommend him to others. read more

This place was great. At the time I went, about 6 months ago, it seemed that the brothers had recently teamed up on this new smog-check business venture. One of the brothers was there when I arrived and he was incredibly enthusiastic. He offered me reading material and a coke while I waited--- I turned him down, but the gesture was very sweet. Overall, the guy did my job quickly and efficiently and with an ardent desire to please his customer. What more could you ask for? And he was open late-- hence how I ended up there after passing mulitple closed smog check only sites after work. read more

I took my wife's car here for a smog and I was very pleased with the service and speed of the smog. The gentleman who preformed the smog was very polite and informative. We reached out to Arnold for a pre-purchase inspection. While six other places quoted us $250-$350 for a "comprehensive" inspection, we paid Arnold $100, which was a STEAL for what he did, even more than what the others promised. He spent at least two hours thoroughly checking the vehicle, test driving it and walking us through every detail so we truly understood its condition. We were looking at buying an Audi Q4 e-tron that had a damage report. A reputable dealership told us it was "minor" and offered to take it to the mechanic for our peace of mind. After browsing Yelp and reading the amazing reviews, we decided to come here instead and I'm so glad we did. I had already done my due diligence and familiarized myself with the vehicle and potential issues. I asked Arnold very specific, technical questions that I already knew the answers to. He answered every single one with clarity and confidence and everything I was expecting to hear. My husband stayed the entire time, and Arnold patiently explained everything while inspecting the car. You can tell he was that kid that made the auto shop his playground growing up. He's passionate, meticulous, and GENUINELY cares. What impressed me most is that Arnold will never pressure you. He won't tell you "don't buy it," but he will clearly explain what could go wrong and what it might cost to fix. When I pressed him for his honest opinion, he said he personally wouldn't buy it at the listed price but if we negotiated it lower, then it might be worth considering. That level of honesty is RARE. They are your small local auto shop but I would choose them over any flashy, grandiose service center any day. Their integrity and transparency make them stand out. Love love love Brothers Smog in Santa Ana. Owner Fabian (yup - his real name is Fabian) is so honest, so courteous, that even though we moved to L.A. we still return to Fabian's to get all our cars smogged. They do all the paperwork to DMV so we dont have to do anything. They smog our Prius, Tiburon, Mustang and BMW. We can't wait til he expands to a full repair shop because they seem to know everything about cars. These guys are experts. And fast! read more

Horrible service and overpriced. I don't recommend to anyone, unless you want to get ripped off by this clowns. The guy that runs this business is a complete thief will charge you even if your car doesn't pass the smog check and won't tell you beforehand and wait time is too long since they check every detail in your car to purposely not make you pass and still paid em.
