They responded " cold air intake, or any modifications" paraphrasing.. standard $60, honest and I don't think I was there longer than 20 min. First of all this location is busy on Saturdays! If possible, come during the week and save yourself some time of waiting or make an appointment. Staff is friendly and told me what to replace when my vehicle did not initially pass visual inspection. I went to get the replacement parts and was able to bring the vehicle to retest and pass later on the same Saturday. read more

These guys are fantastic. They are honest and hard working. I went for smog check and my battery died. They did everything possible to get it started and after 30 minutes, they were able to get it going (I drive a German car and it's a pain to jump start) and they didn't charge me any extra. They were having some issues with the smog machine needed to smog my pre-2000 Ford Escort Wagon so I ended up having to wait a few days for their repairman to get the part to fix it before I could get my smog check, but these guys are super friendly and they kept me informed the whole time. Some of the other smog stations I called really seem to price gouge for pre-2000 smog checks and these guys were very reasonable so I stuck it out with them and and they took care of me. Three other local stations I called also had broken smog equipment so they couldn't give me a pre-2000 smog test and they sent me away with no help at all, but these guys went the extra mile to keep in touch with me, get their equipment back in working order, and get my car the smog test I needed. I overheard the technician conversing with another guy that had failed his smog test previously and they seemed genuinely interested in providing him with useful repair advice on what he should do to get his car to pass smog. It seems like they appreciate their customers and really want to help them out and make them feel welcome, not just take their money as fast as possible and kick them out the door. read more

I called Brother's Smog to make an appointment for a star certified smog check. Fabian was really friendly on the phone and told me that I could come in 15 minutes. He also told me that it is attached to the Mobil gas station. There weren't any signs that listed "Brother's Smog" on the building, so it was great that he told me that. There were a couple cars ahead of me, but he asked if I had just called. Because I made the appointment, he took care of me right away. You could just tell that he really enjoyed his job. He was so nice and in such a great mood. He told me that I could walk around and that my car would be done in 20 minutes. I walked to the Dollar General store that was next door and shopped. I came back 20 minutes later, and my car was ready to go. Also, I mentioned that I had found his company on Yelp, and he gave me a discount. Fabian made the ordeal painless and easy. This place was great. At the time I went, about 6 months ago, it seemed that the brothers had recently teamed up on this new smog-check business venture. One of the brothers was there when I arrived and he was incredibly enthusiastic. He offered me reading material and a coke while I waited--- I turned him down, but the gesture was very sweet.
