My son-in-law went to Big O for an oil change on his 2016 Mazda. He also had a headlight out and even though he had watched a video on how to do it, he decided to have them change the light. When it came time to pay, they charged him 200.00 to change the light, something that takes about 5-10 minutes. They ripped him off. I don't recommend trusting the front office guys at this establishment. They told him that it was a difficult job. They're just not honest. read more

I went in for an oil change and "complimentary" tire rotation. My wheel and tire flew (broke) off of my truck. This happened April 15, 2025. We have had zero communication. I have had to resort to going into the shop to get information. They fixed the hub and a few other things, but now my truck is stuck in limp mode and they've said, it's not their problem! My 79 year old mother took her 2025 Honda HRV with 8,900 miles to this store on 02/09/2026 with a single flat tire. They ended up convincing her that she needed to buy 4 new tires, as well as an oil change, air filter, cabin air filter, coolant exchange, brake fluid exchange, and two different types of alignment, for a total bill in excess of $1,500. This is a senior citizen on a fixed income. And clearly, a 2025 Honda HRV with less than 8900 miles on the odometer would not need four new tires and all of these services. The car was/is still under warranty, but they failed to recommend to take it to the local Honda dealership first. read more

Took my car in for oil change and tire rotation. That all went well, as far as I can tell, although I was not happy with their choose of oil viscosity for my high milage old vehicle. Tip: specify your preference. I just requested an non synthetic but received a syn blend. They furthermore told me that upon inspection, my car would require all 4 brake pads + rotors to be replaced and quoted me the price of $1238. The parts for this job at Big O come to $809. The very same parts at an online warehouse for discount auto parts come to $170. I dare ask: where do they purchase their auto parts? This is my 2nd negative experience at the Cerrillos Road location in less than a year. The 1st one occurred in November, 2024, when I purchased a set of tires. Although I had an appointment, it took them 4 hours to complete the job. The 2nd negative experience occurred yesterday. Again, I had an appointment and even arrived 20-25 minutes prior to my appointed time of noon. This visit was for the tire rotation, balance - part of the agreement when I purchased the tires - & alignment and it took them 3 hours to complete the job and, to add insult to injury, my vehicle was damaged pre-alignment process. Not sure how the accident occurred, but I head a loud crash, followed by a lot of profanity and instinctively, I knew my vehicle was involved but at the same time, hoping I was wrong. Unfortunately, my instincts were on point, especially when the Manager approached me while I was sitting outside and asked me to follow him over to the bay where my vehicle was suspended mid-air. He showed me the damage, apologized profusely & accepted responsibility of making me whole again, either through their in-house repair service or one of my choosing. To his credit, though, he did "comp" the alignment. That being said, had the attending mechanic been focused on the task before him, this "accident" might not have happened. Needless to say, I was hotter than fish grease, but I realized that reaming the Manager would have served no purpose, because the damage was done and the remainder of my day ruined! Even though I am due complimentary rotations for the life of my tires, I will be looking elsewhere for my future tire needs. Oh, and don't bother making an "appointment", because it means nothing. I do, however, strongly advise that you take a lunch and some good reading material, because it's more than likely that you will be there for quite some time!! read more

I made an appointment for a brake exam and to flush and change the brake fluid in my Subaru. When I arrived I asked how long it would take and was told 1/2 hr to 45 mins. I watched through the window as service guys checked my brakes and then left the car with the hood open for about 45 mins then finally backed it out and drove it around back. There were probably 8-10 guys working including the front desk attendants. One of the attendants - the youngest- told me that they were going to inspect my brakes for a 2nd time, and I assumed the brake flush had been done and someone was doing a test drive. After another 15-20 mins I asked another attendant where my car was and he said it it was parked around back and still hadn't been serviced because there was only one "technician" working that day and he would have to do the work. I asked why I wasn't told about this sooner because I had other errands to run. He apologized and said he was sorry and that someone must've "miscommunicated." I said I'm sorry as well, but I needed to leave and that they were losing a customer. A simple explanation by one of the 8-10 guys there could've made all the difference. I left and don't intend to ever go back. I'd been there for tires and alignments in the past. read more

After securing the "doughnut" spare, I was at a loss as to where to take the flat tire. The immediate response from two neighbor was, "Big O Tires!" My car decided to act up when heading back home from the mountains, and they saved the day! I was a walk-in, so I knew to bring in a good sized book just in case they'd be slammed (because they're amazing and of course they're busy and require an appointment to be seen sooner). The attentiveness and services that they provided were spot-on, the attitude of staff was a combination of kind, professional as well as awesome, and I always feel confident with them handling my car. Also, when I spoke badly about my car (which I never do usually because I believe in energy transference), Tony even cautioned me to be mindful of how I am with my car, which was beyond cool. These guys are awesome. I pray everyone who gets their car seen/worked on here, is kind and patient with these fellas. They handle so much all day long. They we're always helpful fixing our flat tires, especially since we had purchased the tires there. Lately though since going to the location on Cerrillos Rd, just to have tire fixed, we have been told (pressured) into having to buy 4 new tires. I pulled in and the guy told me that it would be about an hour. Two and a half hours later and my car still hasn't gone back. Today I went to get a new tire because of a bubble from a pot hole and a nail removed from another tire. My appt. was @ 1 pm and I was told that it would be an hour to complete the job. At 2 pm I get a call from big O asking me where tire key was. I said that I did not know but I just had purchased another tire two weeks ago so they must have had the key to replace the tire. After some time, I get another call. So I walked over there from Wendy's next door and they told me the person that put the new tire two weeks ago must have misplaced the tire key. I asked why they called me at 2 pm to get tire key when my appt. was at 1 pm (obviously did not keep their word about the one hour time wait). They told me to go to BMW to get a tire key and Big O would pay for it. I went to BMW and customer service rep told me they would need to order the key and that it would take a week for the key to get there. I went back to big O and said that I wanted the tire that I had purchased and will have BMW do the work. Now I have to wait a week to have my tire replaced and nail removed. I should not be driving the car, it could blow out, so I will probably have to rent a car for week. I will call the manager tomorrow. read more

Super disappointed to be a customer here. Bought 2 front tires last August, 11,000 miles ago. Tires are shredded and ducked today. No warranty credit, they claimed that because I refused an alignment st the time, that the warranty is void. So here I am again, dropping another 200+ dollars, paying for the alignment that they have now advised me is necessary if you don't want to buy tires every six months. Do you think they could've mentioned that last time? Oh and I am now here an hour and a half still waiting for the work to be done. F*ckin weak sauce. read more

The techs fit us in very quickly. Our tire pressure on one tire was suddenly low and we thought we might have a nail. They visually inspected and then did a dunk test and found no issues. They adjusted the air pressure on all 6 tires on our dually (they had to remove the outer rear tires to access the valves on the inners) and we were done within an hour. The store manager was not wearing ANY PPE during my visit, did not even pretend to wear a mask and was insulted and insulting when I asked him to do so. None of the workers had on any PPE whilst inside my auto changing the oil and rotating the tires, no doubt taking their cue from the manager. As an immune-suppressed senior citizen I was appalled. My hats off to this store manager and crew. Got up this morning and drove over to Big O Tires on 3153 Cerrillos Road in Santa Fe.Spoke to young gentlemen when first arrived explained I was traveling passing thru but had steering issue. This problem started From Big O Tires in Pueblo, CO.on the 10th. Had taken to get alignment before trip. Anyway left on trip and steering was terrible on highway ,constantly pulling hard to left. Anyway BigO Santa Fe got me right in and put my pickup on frontend rack and within fifteen minutes told me that their print out showed front end alignment was way out. So I mentioned it was just aligned by their store in Pueblo CO on previous Saturday. The manger Hugo Miramontes in Santa Fe said no problem they would take care of issue....well let me tell you not only did they take care of issue they didn't recharge me. Now that's why I don't go anywhere else for tires. This store and manage gets 10 stars. Very nice manager and the assistant manager Dennis Miramontes and the young new guy which I didn't get his name along with the alignment Technician. These guys did a top notch job. I'll happily explain my review of two stars. I'm sure there are moments where this location CAN be 5 stars but for me, this time, it was 2. I was grievously misslead to believe that I could purchase a set of brand new shocks and have them replaced at big o tires. So I get in the car, drive 8 miles to them and Uber 8 miles back only to get a phone call 5 minutes after getting home that they couldn't do my car. The best part is, when I arrived with my car I was told I WAS TOLD the car would be taken care of. The level of psychological craftsmanship and aptitude of some of these employees is far below average. Some of these employees (and I won't name names) clearly have no aspiration to complete any level of school, receive a degree of any sort or accomplish life changing goals. As such, their attitude reflects a demeanor that isn't helpful in a professional atmosphere. There's no point in arguing with them. The owner, Keith or Kevin (have forgotten at this point) just so happened to be there while this debacle was going on. He saved this review from 1 Star. He came out and personally apologized to me. That, that alone... is worth a star. But not 3 or 4 or 5. Employees to learn proper demeanor, manners and attention to detail. I'd love to go in there for a week and teach them some psychology!! Big O does a lot more work than tires. They service the entire driveline, brakes, shocks etc. Their work is good.

Highest recommendation! Someone ran me into a high curb on St. Frances and I heard my tire go. I worked the phone to find the tire store nearest me and it was Big O. I'd never heard of them or noticed the store before. The tire lasted just long enough to get me into the parking lot. Hugo - the manager - was conscientious, polite, professional and instantly on it. He didn't have the tire in stock - this was Friday - and kept the car for me until Monday. The tire came in on schedule and Big O put on the new tire and did an oil change all before 11AM Monday. Great service, lovely people - fast and responsible. I'll be going back to them for maintenance and urge you to do the same. read more

I hit an enormous pothole on the way to an event in Santa Fe, and when I called Santa Fe's Big O Tires location, Jose told me that they would do their best to handle a (severely) bent rim and possible blown tire within the remaining 3 hours the store was open, given that I was visiting from out of state, and was staying in Albuquerque, and needed my car pronto. When I arrived about 30 minutes later, they had my car up and ready to hit the road in *an hour*. Jeffrey muscle-hammered out the rim and refilled the tire (not damaged, after all). Honestly, the efforts of Jose and Jeffrey were heroic: Jose simply wanted to make the rest of my day better, and he did: I pulled up to my event and scored a parking spot out front, with 1 hour and 22 minutes left on the meter (in downtown Santa Fe)! It's stunning to me that a hazardous situation can become magical when people help with such excellence and humanity. read more

Incredible customer service at this shop. We had a punctured tire and they welcomed us as walk ins. Very quickly they were able to repair the tire and put it back on our car at no charge!
