Took two cars (well okay one was a truck) and both passed. Service was friendly and quick and they honored the Yelp Discount (don't forget it like I almost did). For older vehicles (like my truck) they run through a full inspection of gas tank, smog, etc. but even with all the extra tests I was there about 15 minutes tops. Newer vehicles like my Accord literally took about 5 minutes. Will definitely be back next year with my truck! Highly recommended! read more

The smog test took about 15 minutes so they are through and efficient. Initial writeup is done before so it is ready as soon as a bay is available. The prices are posted and are the same as other places I had checked with except for those that charge more. The charge for the certificate is a drop less. If you want them to file your registration with the DMV there is an additional charge. read more

One stop shop! Highly recommended! I was able to get my car smogged and for a $19 fee, get my car registered for the year plus get tags on the spot. Worth the $19! Saved me from running around, waiting for the tickets by mail, or standing in line at the DMV or AAA. Plus because I paid with a debit card, I got $5 discount on the $19! I'm sure if you have a mainstream car this place is fine but if you have anything remotely interesting, do NOT go here. They may know how to smog but they don't actually know anything about cars. Brought my car in to get smogged and they chose to fail it because they said I have an aftermarket header. I definitely don't - the heat shield is just removed. Anyone who knows what the inside of cars looks like would know this. The place I ended up taking to afterwards took one look and knew it was stock. And to make things worse, they bottomed out my car HARD when they pulled it out. There's a sharp decline out of their bays and knowing this, they should've been more careful with my car as it clearly isn't a lifted SUV. So essentially, if you love your car and want it to be in good hands whether it's a visit to a mechanic or just a smog check - DON'T BRING IT HERE. It's not worth the free soda. read more

Easy, 15 minutes, on my way just like every one said! As of January 2015: Yes, 20% off with Yelp check in. Yes, fridge with free drinks. Only tip I would offer is that it is hard to turn into. It looks like you would be able to turn directly into the place off Sepulveda, but you can not. Tip: While driving south (coming from the north) on Sepulveda, turn right onto 30th street (a small side street that comes up quick) and then it is an immediate left. Visually you can't miss the place, but because 30th street comes up quick, you can miss the turn and then have to do a big loop back. Good luck passing the big test! read more

Do you know who the Referee is? If you don't, be glad that you don't because for awhile a few years back I was on a first name basis with him! Every smog check place I had dealt with before ACC failed me and usually for some stupid reason that I had to dispute with the Referee. Thankfully that all changed ever since I have been going to ACC to get my car smog checked. I had never passed a smog check before going here with my first two cars, but I have passed every time since with one of those cars and with my current car. ACC is super convenient and quick. Every time I have been here it typically takes less then 15 minutes to get in and out. This is the first and only smog check place that I have been to that isn't a pain to deal with. I highly recommend ACC to anyone that needs to get their car smog checked. read more

This is a great smog center, right across the street from Manhattan Village. There are two lanes for the testing and a small waiting area. One of the best things, is they can do the registration to the state and provide the paperwork on the spot. Quick, easy and extremely friendly. Is there really more you need me to write about? Needed CA plates, blah-blah-blah, backstories aside, I went on a Tuesday around 2pm. A car ahead of me. The entire thing took 30 minutes or so. I will say that I missed the turn the first time around and had to circle back, which was annoying. So turn on 30th from Sepulveda or you will be HOSED! Also, their name is spelled "Chek" - which I found oddly annoying. Are they referring to the city in Kyrgyzstan? Or are they referencing the official Hong Kong English spelling of "", the Hong Kong foot unit of measure? Possibly just hating the "c" letter so much without explanation. So hipster, I love it. The guy was nice who checked my car and warned me of a possible electrical short totally unrelated to my smog check. I loved that he called me over and was offering friendly advice on what to do for it. NOT a salesman but someone that genuinely cares about the customers. Much appreciated! read more

This place was super quick and professional. It was a little pricey; I ended up dishing out $58.change. They do retest for free if you fail on the first try. The nice thing is that they electronically sent in the paperwork. I just had to wait a few hours before I could finish my registration online. No trip to the DMV == YAY! This is my first time having to get a smog check so I really don't have a basis for comparison. All I know was that this was fast, convenient and easy. I just wish it was a little cheaper. read more
