I got recommended to this smog shop by my mechanic. The gentleman doing the service is always busy with clients, which is a really good sign of trust amongst his clients. The shop is small, but well organized. It's a "Pass or Free Retest" shop. Pricing is fair. It's a lot a cheaper than others near the area. He's fast, and efficient with his time. I've been coming here for three years now.

Needed to get my car smogged to renew my car registration so I looked for a place where reviews said it was FAST. The last time I got my car smogged, it took about 2 hours for the wait + the actual test. When I got there, he had 1 person in front of me. He took about 5 mins. When it was my turn, he was very nice, transparent, and quick with the diagnostic. My turn took about 7 mins in total. Will be coming back to him. read more

Bring your car here for your smog. $50 for any size car. The shop is test and Star certified and he offers free retest within 3 months. My heart was full when he let us know the tip we gave him goes towards feeding children. read more

I had such a pleasant experience getting my smog check today. I was greeted with a cold water. The owner was respectful and friendly and with such a positive attitude. He was proud of the fact that he has been able to keep his price the same for years. He shared that when he is sad he looks at his reviews to brighten up his days, which I thought was sweet. You can tell that he enjoys the connections he makes with his costumers and the way he is appreciated. The service was quick and painless. 5 stars isn't enough. Pulled up around 4:30 and was done by 4:40. Dan was SUPER nice and accommodating. He was very helpful, moreso than I would ever anticipate (he asked if I had AAA and reminded me to go to the office to get my tags ASAP - maybe I was a little late getting my smog check) I'll definitely be a repeat customer. read more

Bought a Groupon for Dan's Smog Test and could not be happier. The test took a total of 10 minutes. It was super quick and the father/son were really nice and friendly. They have seats for you to sit in and being a young, blonde girl in a mechanic shop, I felt super comfortable. I brought my dog with me and they didn't have any problems with him being there. The only downside is they charge you for the smog check certification that they submit to the DMV for you. This makese me think this place isn't any cheaper than other places. But I still support this minority family business and will come here again. read more

Went in on a Saturday around 2. Got serviced immediately and it's only took about 10-15 minutes to run the test. The best part was the service attendant was super friendly and offered me advice on which dmv would be the quickest in the area since I am new to the state. Definitely will be back! read more

I came here because it was the only place open early, they open at 8am. I got my smog check done in like 10-15 minutes. I've recommended it to friends and family. On one occasion one of our cars didn't pass, but we just had to drive around and it passed. Tuan is the best! Super nice guy and helps any way possible. Even offered us some water. Also, if you need any car repair done, you can ask Sonny next door. He replaced my battery after my smog check. Overall, I'll be back! read more

Wonderful, personable service. I felt welcomed from the moment I pulled into the garage. I was charged $50 to get my 2000 Toyota Corolla smogged. Just got our smog check done here on our 2006 Honda Accord . The owner is attentive and kind , even handed us some cold water bottles on this hot summer day. I came here twice within 6months. The first visit I was searching around the area for a smogcheck facility and came across Dan's spot. After reading his reviews I did not hesistate. Dan was very helpful and professional. I work 15mins away and I brought another vehicle during my lunch break expecting for it to take long but Dan was done in mins! I found this Smog station on Yelp, and went here based on the time of day. Many other spots were not open, and I live a few blocks a day. It was perfect. I waited just a few minutes, as the owner was helping a customer. I was next, and was given a bottle of water. It hit the spot, since I was very thirsty, haha. Just took a few more minutes, and I was out of there. I will return in 2 years, when DMV requires me to. read more

I made an appointment through their website, very user friendly, and received a confirmation text shortly after. I decided I needed to modify my appointment, there didn't seem to be an option to do it on the website, so I texted the number back and asked to change my appointment, this was done quickly without issues. I arrived to my appointment 10 mins early. Dru was very helpful, friendly and professional. He entered my car's info into the system, and once my car passed the smog check, everything was updated and entered into the system already so that when I pay my registration, the DMV (or in my case, AAA) will see that my car passed the smog test. In case the system isn't updated, I was provided with a hard copy certificate to prove that it passed. My entire appointment took 10mins altogether, can't beat that! Pricing was fair and affordable, depends on the year of your car. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a quick smog check station.

They Hispanic man was making so many racial comments and made me very uncomfortable. 3/6/20 ((I know it's Hard in Torrance for black people)) the first thing he said to me SMFH! He lied to me saying he was not going to complete the test knowing I had to get work done AND STILL DID IT AND CHARGED ME!! Gone a few times. Good place to have smog done. Once my car hadn't passed, saw Sonny the owner of encino computerized auto center next stall over. He looked at my bmw and saw something wasn't connected fixed it and didn't even charge me even though I offerd him money. Honest people, can't judge a book by the cover.
