Ok. I have a transmission issue…read more Brought it in to determine the root-cause. They found an old (not cleared) thermostat problem that I fixed a year ago. It didn't totally close, thus not allowing the Cat o get up to temperature quickly enough. I replaced for $25 and 45 minutes, easy. Check-engine light disappeared. But obviously the code locked in. And also they said I needed a full replacement transmission. Which I don't deny may be required. , sorta. I am 71 years old, done professional car work since 17. The ONLY reason I am not doing this myself is age. But that said, before I would tear down anything I would already know what component is bad. A valve, cam sensor, etc. My symptoms are of a valve-body stuck valve, causing the clutch(s) to not fully engage. Thus I wanted a more concise explanation for why I should give them $5,000 - $6,000 to replace the entire Xmission. I really should have had a talk with the trained mechanic that could go into depth about the detailed reason it is giving me problems. But I got the worker at the register explaining the estimate to me. I have 100% confidence she has ZERO true mechanical knowledge/training past what to say. She should have called the Tech to talk to me. Had that happened I would have set an appointment to have it replaced. But given the weak thermostat ($330) ghost diag, I had zero confidence about the rest of their work. Reminds me of "give a kid a hammer and everything looks like a nail".

Purchased extra hose and try not to turn wheels lock to lock. Given it's a custom piece and no one else has anything close I consider this currently a minor maintenance issue. Since I pull the wheels and do a brake check after every track day it's not much of a hassle to keep an eye on. New Apex wheels don't appear to have as much interference as the oem wheel. May be able to make further adjustment in the future. Braking consistency has improved dramatically so overall a great product.

They'll charge you double what most dealers will charge you for a customer service/doc fee and then they'll charge you another $600 for an MBK package for a coating THEY chose to put on all of their cars which is non-negotiable (last time I checked, the buyer should have that option). They'll also avoid your request to break down the "taxes and fees section" to make it cumbersome to know what you're paying for what. In the end, I was ready to pay more money for a car with merely a different color scheme than a deal I already had on the table (and was ready to make a lengthy drive to get it) all for them to ultimately screw up the deal over $500. $500! They obviously care more about ego than selling cars. And oh, by the way this was all over a 2026 leftover! Honestly, I dodged a bullet, as I imagine I would've been met with more dishonesty once getting onsite. I was essentially lied to. Their word and promises all changed last minute. This dealership does not truly stick to their word or promises and is not honest. I sent a few recent texts today in which I didn't receive any responses or correspondence from so that means I'm being ghosted, which is very rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional behavior. If you have a choice and especially from my recent experience here, do not do business with this dealership because it's not a good feeling what I went through and I'd hate for you to have to go through what I did too. Save yourself the pain and agony. How does someone not stick to their word is truly beyond me. I was not taken care of as I was promised I would be.
