We were on a trip from VA to Nashville when our car had a mechanical issue just outside of Knoxville. We had the car towed to Beaty, the nearest Chevy dealership, while our friends picked us up and drove us to Nashville. The people at Beaty were soo nice!! It wasn't a major car problem so they were able to fix it right away the next morning. And because we couldn't pick it back up until the Sunday we drove back to VA, they made special arrangements for us so that we could still pick it up even though they're closed on Sundays. If we had to have a car issue on vacation, I'm glad we had it near Beaty! read more

Only had my new Silverado 1500 a couple weeks when I got small crease in the side from a shopping center parking lot. Went to the Collision Center at Beaty and spoke with a gentleman, Danny Ballinger, who happens to be the Collision Center Manager and advised me when to bring it in. My truck was repaired quickly and perfectly. Between Danny and the man that performed the work, these are 2 of the best people I have dealt with at a dealership in my 56 years of driving. I have a 2018 Tahoe that I love until 2 weeks ago when the AC stopped working I live in Newport 60 miles away from Beaty however Beaty offered to get me in now and not in weeks.. Today was my service apt.. a service tech checked out my Tahoe and informed me it was the Condenser and thankfully they had one in stock if i wanted to have it fixed they could go ahead and do so. I had a couple hour wait while my vehicle was being fixed. The shuttle for Beaty offered to take me and drop me off wherever I wanted to go and come back to pick me up when I called. Perfect Service not to mention not one person that came in contact with me walked by without speaking... people checked on me every time they came by. Would leave zero stars if I could for the service department. I have had my oil changes done with them maybe 3 times and every time my appointment is at 8 or 9am but I don't see my car being worked on until 11 or 12!! Then one time my car was leaking inside, so I needed it fixed under warranty. They kept me there from 9-2 until I demanded a loaner to pick up my kids from school. They offered a loaner for a few days to fix the issue. I called them on the day the loaner was due back and they said my car isn't ready and to keep the loaner until they call me. A week goes by and I had to call them to ask if my car was ready!!! Also when I dropped off the loaner (I picked it up from a 3rd party) they told me I could leave it on their lot and they would drive it back. I called the loaner company and asked when I would see my refund for the insurance part(it was like $100). They told me that they don't have that car back. I called Beaty and they said it was still sitting in their parking lot 3 days later. If the 3rd party loaner company wouldn't have charged me I wouldn't have cared but I wanted my money back and I wanted to make sure no one drove it under my name and made something happen to it!! It is so frustrating working with them! After that happened a year ago I started going to Ford for my oil changes and I have had no issues with them. If Zero stars were available, I would choose that. The Beaty Chevrolet Service department is absolutely terrible. No communication from them unless I have made multiple calls, left voicemails, and actually finally driving to the dealership. This is the 3rd time I have had my 2015 Chevy Impala (purchased new by my company at Beaty) brought in for service work, in just over a year. Spent $7600 on a new transmission in May of this year that took them almost 4 weeks to fix. Late September of this year the transmission started slipping again - same issue as prior to the May repair. I dropped it off at the service department on September 27th speaking to service tech Robert Huff, telling him it was transmission issues again. I was informed that their "transmission" guy was off until October 7th, but he would have his shop foreman drive the car first of the week to see what his opinion was of the issue and would call me back. No call that next week. I waited until the week of the 7th when the transmission guy was supposed to return from time off and started leaving messages for Robert, again with no call. I then attempted to call for the service manager Allen Surgenor, where surprise, I get voicemail, so I left a message on 10/10 with no call back. Called the next week and left 2 more messages, again with no return call. Finally, drove to the dealership on Friday 10/18 and was taken to meet the service manager after being brushed off by Robert Huff. Allen then informed me the so-called transmission guy said it was my Michelin tires, which had been replaced less than a year ago at Beaty. I informed him it absolutely was NOT the tires it was the transmission slipping the same as in April. He said he would have the shop foreman drive it and would call me back that afternoon. Allen did call me back that afternoon and informed me I was right; it was the TRANSMISSION. He would have to order it on Monday 10/21 because it was too late on a Friday afternoon to place the order. It should be there by Wednesday and would have my car back no later than Friday 10/25. I waited all week with no communication. I then called Friday morning 10/25 for Allen and got voicemail. He called me back to tell me his transmission guy had a few doctor appointments that week and did not get this work done but he would now provide me with a loaner car until it was fixed. (This is after my company has had to foot the bill for a rental car at $1100 for the first three weeks and I drove a different spare company car for the last week.) Being out of town for the weekend, I told him I would be there Monday morning to pick up the loaner. Arrived Monday 10/28 and was told the car would be fixed Wednesday, so took 45 minutes to get the loaner car - an EV with only 67% battery. No call Wednesday to let me know my car is ready, so I called for Allen, left a voicemail but again no response. Called today, Thursday 10/31 twice so far only to get voicemail both times - and still no return call until 2:38 PM Thursday. Car is being finished up right now and should be available to pick up this afternoon when the service tech calls me. Beaty has had my vehicle now for 5 weeks this time with no regard for me as a customer, as far as communication. In 13 months, this car has spent a total of 12 weeks sitting at this service department waiting to be fixed, because I was a "drop off" and did not wait with the car or have an appointment, as I was told the first time I dropped it off last fall. With the multiple times I have had to drive there just to get someone to speak to me, not once have I gotten even a smile, so sorry for your troubles, how can we make it right, or even witnessed one semi-happy employee in that entire service department. When I did get my car back this afternoon, one would think that as a courtesy for having the car this long sitting outside and in & out the shop, they could have at least washed it and took out their plastic seat covers and paper floor covers but then again, with this low level of service, not sure why I would even think that. I will NEVER set foot on this dealership's property for any reason and will encourage anyone that asks, to avoid Beaty Chevrolet at all costs. Also, until they teach some customer service etiquette to all employees other than maybe the sales force trying to make a sale, they will continue to lose business. I want to thank Scott Atkinson for being so helpful and kind, when the dealership we bought our Chevrolet Colorado wouldn't! He told us to bring the vehicle into Beaty Chevrolet and within 15 minutes knew what was wrong and within an hour or so our truck was fixed! I called and commented to the GM Company itself and told them about 2 dealerships that wouldn't even try but Beaty did step up and help us! I had videos of what the vehicle was doing and showed to all 3 but no one was willing to help till we asked Beaty Chevrolet (Scott)! Terrible customer service from the financial manager Robert Duffey and sales man Dalton L. I purchased a warranty for the interior and exterior with the intent of them installing the coating. I have been up to the dealer since multiple times since the purchase on May 20th.. trying to get my brand new car in to have the protection applied that I paid for UP FRONT.. multiple excuses as to why it can't be done.. With frustration I contacted Mr Duffey via email multiple times who did not respond until I copied a manager on the email. I emailed 4 times before adding a manager I must add. My original call the manager Mr. Nicely said they would refund my money to the next response from Mr. Duffey that it is non refundable and saying I am "refusing" to have it applied.. no I refused to waste any more time, gas and mileage driving out for the 4th time. I then called the warranty company to fact check Mr Duffey to which the nice representatives said that the dealership has to credit it and refund it since they hadn't installed it... I spoke with so far Brett Nicely, Mark Troutman and another manager is who all promised me a call back and yet I've not heard from anyone else regarding this.. it's so funny what they will do for a small portion of commission.. it's honestly sad because the car buying experience was smooth and I planned on buying my sons car there because I was in a terrible accident that a Chevy had saved my life.. I'd stay away from Beaty as they don't have a general manager and they are family owned so if you don't like how things are being handled there is no way to escalate anything just sit around getting robbed of your money and sold false promises.. read more

No one answers the phone in the service department. Finally got in touch with them, scheduled a time to take my truck in, had to wait for parts to get delivered. They called me and said the parts were in. So I took my truck in for a recall and new brakes. They told me "we will have it done by tomorrow" I came to pick up my truck and they said they did not have the parts for the recall. The service department is horrible and unacceptable! read more

ZERO stars. At my recent service appointment, the service employee told me there were recalls on my SUV. When I checked out, no one mentioned that all of the work had not been completed. Last week they called to say my parts were in. Parts? What parts? That's right, all my recall work wasn't done. The advisor, Robert, told me it would take an hour and a half to finish the work when I asked how long it would take. He told me to bring it in today without telling me to make an appointment. Two hours after I arrived, I asked how much longer it would be. They said another 30 minutes to one hour. When I let Robert know how aggravated I was, he apologized (insincerely) and said it was a big recall. I reminded him that he told me it would take "an hour and a half." He shrugged. I told them to just give me back the vehicle despite its state twenty minutes after that (by the way, did I mention that my service advisor left? I watched him get into a truck and leave, but the women at the counter insisted he was there). Suddenly, my vehicle was ready right then. I don't trust the work, especially after hearing from another customer who'd been there longer than I had that her brakes were worn to the metal, despite having regular service performed at Beaty. Another customer who'd been there longer than I had for a scheduled oil change said it took them two and a half hours. There were also two other parties who were there when I arrived and were still waiting when I left. I spoke with the assistant service manager who tried to offer some sort of amends, but I told him I won't return to Beaty for any reason. From being lied to and blown off to having one employee make a smart aleck comment about me while I was on the phone with him during a previous interaction to seeing the same poor customer service for other patrons, I'm done. read more

Our salesperson was Roger Williams. He was awesome, and our son loved him, lol! We didn't have the best credit walking in, and could only offer a fully paid off trade in of a 2011 Chevy Aveo, but Roger and the team at Beaty Chevrolet worked hard to get us into a very nice, low miles, 2017 Kia Sportage with all the modern bells and whistles you could want. Roger really went the extra mile with checking in after we test drove some cars, taking the time to discuss why financing would be a challenge, and making sure we were given every opportunity to test drive whichever cars we liked. Our son can sometimes get overexcited and has lots of energy, but Roger had him loving every minute we were at the dealership. Thank you Beaty Chevrolet, and thank you Roger! Suffering from industry-wide service department lapses. On the surface it appears there are too few staff or service personnel to adequately serve the community. First off, I want to say that our sales guy Dalton was excellent. The whole sale process was professional. I am leaving this review because of the shady finance service I have experienced after the sale. I understand that dealers make commission on extended warranties, however, this experience makes me not want to use this dealer in future. We paid full in cash for our car on March 12th. The sales manager talked us through extended warranties and I admit that at the time we agreed. However, I went home and that evening did more research and realized it wasn't worth it. The next day I called and asked the cancel the extended warranty (Chevy website states you can cancel within 30 days for an immediate refund). The sales manager told me I had to come in to do it. I thought that was strange but figured he would try to make me jump through hoops to save the commission. I went in, the process at the time seemed straight forward. He wrote up a new sales sheet and said our refund wouldn't be immediate because they had to wait for our original check to cash. But once that happened they would send a check straight away (our check cashed that day). Well fast forward 2 weeks and no refund check. No word from the dealership. I have heard this is a common issue with dealerships who don't want to take a hit on refunding extended warranties so they just delay as long as possible. This is a shame because it hurts their sales guys like Dalton who are doing a good job and are going to lose future business because of the practices of their sales managers. read more

Absolute worst service center I've ever experienced. I bought a 2021 Chevy Colorado from Beaty Chevy. Purchasing experience was fine. They sold me on the included oil change package with the purchase. The only thing they didn't tell me was that it is nearly impossible to get oil changes there. Often times they will be booked out several weeks. When I could finally get an appointment it always took several hours at minimum for them to change the oil. One time the oil was changed (which again took 4 hours). They never called me to tell me it was done. When I went back on my own, I found out it was done, got my keys from them, and left. 2 hours later they called me to alert me that my truck, which is now parked in my garage, has been finished. Aside from the terrible oil change experiences, my recent attempt at getting my truck serviced was awful. My check engine light had come on and my fan was running long after I turned the car off. I called the service department multiple times, on multiple days, and left multiple voicemails. I never received a call back. Finally, I found a way through the app to book an appointment. They were booked out 2 weeks, but I still made the appointment. When I showed up 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment, they told me it would be weeks before they would be able to work on my truck. I then asked if I could find out at least what was wrong with it. They told me if I paid them $150 they could take it to the back and "get to it at some point". I asked if they had an estimate how long that would take. The gentleman then looked at his watch and then at me and said "well is 3 o'clock now and we leave at 5:30 so sometime in that range". Unbelievably awful experience. I would never recommend them to my worst enemy for service. I will never be back to them, and I would never buy a car or truck from them in the future. I hope this serves as a fair warning for anyone who is looking to buy a Chevy or use Beaty for their service. read more

I found the used truck I wanted and was informed of the listing price. Once the typical "paperwork" began, I looked the same vehicle up on their website, and discovered it was $2,000 less than the initial quoted price. I immediately brought this discrepancy up to the salesperson, who informed me that I was actually getting a better deal, considering all of the "other costs" that would have been added if I hadn't been paying cash...go figure! I purchased the truck, against my better judgment. However, I discovered they purchased the truck in Illinois for $4,000 less than I paid. Cudos to Beaty Chevrolet for making 4k off of me! On June 16th my wife took my truck to get the tacata airbag recall replaced. I keep all my vehicles in immaculate shape. I take care of the things I own to the point of OCD. We weren't going to get it replaced but got tired of the constant mail. So just for starters you'd think, they put a dangerous part in, even if they break something replacing it, it was their fault that I had the dangerous part, they'll make good on it. That's where I was wrong. We took it to Beaty Chevrolet. The service technician that worked on the truck took pictures of 2 small cracks in the dash. My wife signed off, yes those cracks exist. After the truck came home I took a look and there are now 5 large cracks. The cracks aren't even the best part. I can now LIFT UP THE PLASTICS IN THE DASH AND PUT MY HAND IN. Clearly something I'd have noticed before......... I called Beaty but it was after hours and the nice receptionist said call back tomorrow. I called back the next day and asked for the manager. After leaving a voicemail around 2 days later no one called me. I called back and spoke to Scott who put me on hold. 20 seconds later Paul (I think) answered the phone and said just leave a message we'll call you back. No one called me back. I called the next day and told the receptionist I need to speak to the service manager and she put me through to Stewart's voicemail. You guessed it, no call back. I called the next day and asked for the manager. I was transferred to Josh the sales manager. He said the whole so sorry this isn't normal I'll get Stewart to call you and we'll get this fixed. I called back today and asked for Josh since he's the only person I can find who'll even answer the phone. He said oh yea, I spoke to Stewart about you. He said he's never going to call you because he isn't going to help you. I said please explain? He said we have pictures of cracks and your wife signed off. I said you have pictures ALLEGEDLY of 2 cracks which my wife signed off on. Then I said while on the topic of these pictures please email them to me. That's when the stuttering started. They're ummmm on a mechanic's cell phone. I said well when you find them please email them to me. I have 0 confidence I'll get these pictures that show TWO cracks. He said sir I get that you're angry but if we believed everyone that lied about us damaging their car we'd be out of business. Just an FYI, I am NOT a liar. Calling me a liar is basically declaring war. I asked to speak to his manager and was told that there is no general manager. I got off the phone with Beaty as I realized that this wasn't going anywhere. I called their consumer affairs line. I told them the whole deal of what happened and they said all we can do is send this over to them in a complaint email. I said if there's no manager then what's the point. The sales and service manager are the gods of Beaty. She said, "There is a manager, and this email will go to him." I spent a solid hour with their consumer affairs team and they said they couldn't believe this lack of customer support. They treated me like I was a disgusting piece of trash. I bought my current 2500 HD Silverado from Beaty, So I called Beaty looking to buy a 2022 2500 paying cash money. The sales guy I spoke to confirm the truck was in stock, I ask for a deal sheet to purchase, he said he would email it over. Then I get a call from a "fleet salesman", I said I already had a deal and was waiting on the deal sheet, the "fleet salesman" said the other guy can't sale the truck and started ask all kinds of questions again, I said cant you get the deal sheet from the other guy it has all the answers on it, long story short, the "fleet salesman" was very rude saying "that's not how it works, do you want to buy a truck or not"? Well, I hung up without a purchase. I called and talked to a "sales Manager" about it and all he could do was make excuses and defend his "fleet salesman". We bought an Infiniti QX56 from Beaty a couple of years ago and it has been one problem after another. When we first purchased it, a sensor went out and it had to go back to the service department. They had my vehicle for more than six weeks for a sensor. I had already made my first payment and wasn't even able to drive the vehicle. We also bought the extended warranty for it during the purchase and after the 4th oil change there, I ended up just taking my vehicle over the day before and leaving it because I usually sat there, for an oil change, for 4 to 5 hours. I work and didn't have time to just sit at the dealership all day for the oil to be changed. Then, about 3 months ago, it started making a squealing noise, so I scheduled my oil change and asked them to look at it. When I went to pick it up, they said it wasn't making any noise and sure enough when I started it, there was no noise. That lasted about two weeks and it started again, so I don't know what they done to temporarily fix it. I waited for my next oil change and scheduled my appointment and again asked them to look at it for the noise. I also told the technician that my car was missing. He asked me if the service engine light was one and when I told him no, he said it can't be missing then. I said well, when you drive it, you'll know. I don't care if the service engine light was on or not, my car was missing and burning fuel like crazy. I waited all day to hear from them and no one ever called, so I finally called when it was almost time for them to close. My service technician (Cory) told me that no one had gotten a chance to look at it for the noise, but if I wanted to leave it all weekend, then they would try and get someone to look at it on that Monday, but he couldn't guarantee it. I told him I wasn't doing that and I would just make another appointment to bring it in. This is Wednesday of the week and I called Monday and left a message and never heard from anyone. I called back on Tuesday and was asked to leave another message. I told the lady that I had left one the day before and no one called. She told me they were busy and I understand that, but I also need to schedule an appointment for my car that should have been looked at or fixed a long time ago. So, it's Wednesday now and I called again this morning and this time asked for a manager. I left a voicemail and still haven't heard from anyone. This has been the worst experience for buying a car in my life. I wouldn't go back to Beaty Chevrolet in Knoxville and buy a tricycle from them. Tonight I went to the dealership looking to purchase a truck for myself. I pulled up to the dealer and there was one other customer on the lot. I got out and walked around to many different trucks. I was ready to purchase today with the cash in hand but the only problem is the sales people were so busy talking to one another that they didn't even acknowledge the entire time even as I walked back to my car which they were standing in front of, not a word was said at all.
