I had the unfortunate circumstance of being in an auto accident in my 6-day new car. The first couple of days after the accident I was horrified, upset and stressed about the process of dealing with the accident. The insurance company for the person at fault asked me to drop my car at another collision shop - but after driving by Auto Craft for the last six years on my way to work, something made me think I should go there instead. (Thank you Oregon law!) The day I stopped by I was still pretty emotional about the accident. I was greeted by Zac who was incredible about calming my nerves and letting me know that everything was going to be okay. Since the first day, Zac has been informative and responsive to my questions and requests. He has also gone ABOVE AND BEYOND contacting the insurance company, sending photos and also making sure that my car was getting all the right parts to put it back into its original, beautiful state. (I haven't had to deal with the insurance company at all!) I appreciate the staffs' compassion and patience during my visits to their office. They are professional, humorous and down-to-earth people. Avoid like the plague! I brought my truck here on an insurance claim after hitting a deer. Before I had it towed, I called to see what the turnaround would be, because I needed it back asap. The woman on the phone said "looks like parts are available. We could start repairs next week. My insurance sent them a check. They had my truck 6 months! I ended up towing it back to my house, at my expense, with NO repairs done. They claimed they couldn't find parts (it's a Toyota tacoma, extremely common). I said to just get it drivable and I'll take it from there. It just needed a radiator and a new tire for that. Nope... communication was almost nonexistent. I called multiple times and so and so was away from their desk conveniently and didn't return calls. On top of it all, they said I had to buy the two plastic parts they found because they couldn't return them. "2 less parts you'll have to buy. We'll sell them at cost." Like they're doing me a favor. I found the same capa certified parts online cheaper... I got it, bought a radiator in stock locally and had it on the road the same day. I wish I would've taken it back sooner, I just don't have time between working full time and 3 kids to do the job they were hired to do. read more

I must say that this is a very professional company for all your auto body repairs. I have had the misfortune of needing their services several times over the last few months. It was just by a verbal recommendation that I tried them and was not disappointed from the very first time I walked in the door. Their body work on all four vehicles has met my expectations. If you allow yourself the ability to get to know the staff they are all fun and very nice people. All the staff seem very proud of their company they work for and reflect that in the work they do. Sometimes I know things can happen but I feel confident that if you have any issues they would be more than willing to correct whatever the problem would be. A tree fell on my car, causing the passenger quarter panel to be pushed down by a few inches, leaving a gap in the trunk of the same size. It's currently raining pretty hard out, and I had been told "through the grapevine" that my car was sitting outside, not under cover, and was not protected in any way. So I called the shop and asked them to please, at the very least, wrap the thing in plastic to avoid any water damage to the interior. I also expressed my disappointment that they had just left it out and made zero effort to minimize any damage. To her credit, the receptionist was fantastic. She had it wrapped, and apologized for the oversight. I said thank you, and hung up. This should really be the end of the story, but because of a bald man with glasses called Chris, it is not. Chris decided that it was unacceptable for the buck to stop at his desk, so (and this is absolutely true) he called me to blame ME for my car not being covered at HIS shop. Just take a minute to soak that up. Yes. He blamed me for not having covered my car up before bringing it in. I was absolutely flabbergasted by his accusation. I told him that I'd be by to pick my car up immediately. When I arrived to get my car, it seems as though Chris was confused as to why I was picking it up. I say that because he had the audacity to tell me that "no water had gotten into your car" (which, by the way, is a complete lie, I have eyes Chris, I don't know why you thought I wouldn't look?!). I told him that that wasn't the reason I was removing it from their possession. So here you go: the reason I pulled the plug is because you failed to take responsibility for your actions, and acted in a completely unprofessional, arrogant manner befitting that of a child. The buck stops with YOU Chris. I will not return. There are plenty of auto body shops in town that can do the work, and by the sound of the average reviews here, I'd be willing to bet they'll do it better than AC. read more

Hilariously bad repair job on my Audi. A total nightmare. I returned no less than 4 times. -Body panels grossly misaligned, when pointed out to Chris, the answer I received was "the panel guy thought it looked better this way" regarding the clear 'underbite' of the front panels/grille/headlights -Multiple fasteners from the hood hinge connection completely loose (as in, halfway in) -Clear marks on my leather interior from them storing parts and pieces of my car on the front seats -Overspray drip marks on my finished painted panels -Corners cut on using the correct fasteners for plastic trim parts, instead of using the correct fasteners (which was on the order sheet for parts needed for repair) they came out with a hammer and tried to hammer in some universal plastic expansion fasteners into a threaded hole (I had to point this out and stop them) -Repair took 2 weeks longer than expected (the only excusable part of the repair based on part availability) -Every time I returned with new issues Chris couldn't be bothered to give a single shred of empathy or apologize for my repeated time wasted Owners, please feel free to reach out, I have photos of everything. This is the worst body shop I have ever encountered. I brought my Tacoma in after an accident. They told me they replaced the grill and the radiator, and I found out shortly there after that all they did was zip-tie my old grill into place, and put putty over the leak on the radiator. They also put in a "new" headlight, but the clips on the back were already broken so it would stay in place. The radiator was not fixed so it ruined my head gasket which ruined my motor, causing me to get an entire new motor for my truck. I will never recommend this shop in this life or the next. They are scam artists to say the least. read more

Hello everyone I picked up my car yesterday a Dodge Challenger which is something I am very prideful of when I got my car they pulled up in the "shade" mind you it looked great I drove it over to the house in the (sunlight) and discovered clearly nothing matched! It's looks absolutely ridiculous and the custom striping doesn't even match I called autocraft got the typical run around your stuck with it. Stuck with a custom painted muscle car that now has separation in the paint and striping job due to poor quality work and clearly looks ridiculous to anyone who takes pride in ownership! Recently I brought my wife's Acura into Auto Craft as it had been blindsided by another vehicle. I had heard many good things about them and I now completely agree. The body work and the paint job was fantastic. There was a problem getting one piece for the car and they overcame the obstacle and completed the job and made it look like new. Auto Craft received an estimate via my insurance company with orders to replace the fender, etc. After the repair and noticing some problems they informed they decided to repair the fender because: The ordered part was damaged on arrival. They wanted to get the car done on time They were short handed AM parts don't fit the car Insurance company won't let them buy OEM parts (not true, I contacted my insurance company about this and they state they will) It was quicker to do the repair than replace They don't have to contact me or insurance company to deviate from the estimate (not true; this is actually fraud) They did acknowledge the bumper peeling paint is due to their removal of it. (See pictures) And, that all of my claims could and would be fixed by them if I brought my car back next Monday. Not doing that though. They made a lot of excuses about why the pictured problems existed. They pulled out a walk around and claimed the bumper was a poor fit when I brought it to them. I never completed a walk around with them when I dropped the car off. One of the images posted clearly shows the bumper was a tight fit before the repair. I believe they are committing fraud by repairing rather than replacing and producing a faulty walk around report. I would never recommend this place. They have poor work standards, no quality assurance and overall, my car is in weaker condition than when I brought it in: loose door handle, loose trim and top and bottom of door, loose bumper, peeling paint. And they left my hood ajar so that when I picked it up at end of day and hot the freeway, my hood was bouncing around like a safety hazard. Do not use AutoCraft! Update: My insurance company revised the estimate and made Auto Craft pay them back some money since they didn't follow the estimate. Buyer Beware! No doubt they can pull this same trick on a person paying out of pocket who doesn't have an advocate or a contract with them like the insurance company does. Chris said that the amount would have been the same with the repair but clearly that's not true since the insurance company ordered a payback. My insurance company wanted be to go back to Auto Craft in order to allow them to honor their lifetime warranty on the body work. After calling them to confirm a drop off time, I entered the shop this morning when the owner told me we needed to have a meeting before proceeding. He sat me down in his office with a copy of the above review and was clearly offended. He claimed I was a once a year complaining customer who wanted him to get out scratches that were existing prior to dropping off the car. And that he had "never been accused of fraud", that he wasn't sure about wanting to do business with me. Not reporting a change in the estimate to an insurance company or calling the customer, notifying them that the work has changed on an automobile is fraud. Fixing the walk-a-round report to reflect a mistruth (poor bumper fit) is fraudulent behavior. He essentially did not honor his lifetime warranty on the work and became disgruntled when I got up to walk out. It's amazing that this place can't provide customer service even after acknowledging that the peeling paint on the bumper is their fault. And, the scratched headlight. And the poorly re-installed trim on the driver's door. I don't care about the other scratches and was clear in my explanation that they were pre-existing and I was not asking for those to be fixed, they marred the passenger side with marks that can be buffed. It's not scratched paint, it's just marks they made while it was at their shop. But that's not even a big deal....it's the bumper paint, scratched headlight and shoddy installed trim. The owner is offended at the above review and can't get past it now to make it better. These reviews have an edit button and I could have changed the review for the better if they had cleaned up their mess. read more

Received 3 total bids on other west 11th shops and all were within 1k of each other with Auto Craft being the only shop to solve my time challenge. Not only did they get car and finish in the same week, even dropped the price $200 at time of pickup and did a wonderful job on what was a tricky repair/paint job on newer Ford. Auto Craft saved the day! I had a tree limb punch right through my moon-roof during the latest wind storm. It also put some dents in my hood and fender. Of course it was pouring rain so I had to do something about the moon-roof quickly to keep the water out. I taped up some cardboard as a temporary fix, called my insurance company, and they sent me a list of companies to work with. I chose Auto Craft based on their outstanding reviews (and I remembered they have a sprint car in the front window, very cool!). I took my car straight over there and they did an immediate check of the damage and gave me a quote. They also applied some heavy duty, super strong plastic to cover the hole until they could make the repairs. I really appreciate them going above and beyond with those kind of thoughtful gestures. They got me in relatively quickly considering the parts they had to order and, I'm sure, other customers that were dealing with damage from that wind storm. They had everything fixed within a week of getting my vehicle and their work was fantastic. My car looks great and everything functions as it should. You can't tell there was ever any damage, just like new! Thank you Auto Craft, for being so easy to work with and for doing such and amazing job. If I ever have the need for more repairs (I'm hoping not, but you never know) I will certainly come back. But the mechanics I talked to were so unbearably condescending and rude and made me feel embarrassed and ashamed for even coming in. This place has caused me nothing but headaches. Aside from not having my truck done in the promised time and never calling to update me... the pictures speak for themselves on the type of work they do here. I was told my tunou cover would be replaced when I dropped it off only to get my truck back with it still messed up and not even on evenly. They also decided it was professional to use tie straps instead of investing the time it takes to put it back on the way the dealer had it... the right way... and the safe way! They knew I was going to be driving back to Florida with this and never even bothered to mention it! The back seal doesn't align so basically anytime it rains water will soak the back of the truck!!! The seal that goes on the roof to prevent leaking literally flew off while driving down the road... see picture! And the paint wasn't dried properly on the passenger side door and now has a warped look! ... also see picture! so not only did they have my truck 5 days longer than they promised... it was done so poorly that I will have to take it in to have it fixed somewhere else anyway! Costing me more time money and agitation! The last thing is there is now paint on the back seat where his employees didn't properly cover the interior. I will be filing a claim with my insurance company and want my cover replaced before it flies off and hurts someone! You should really be ashamed of yourself for letting someone drive off knowing that cover was like that!! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!. I originally had taken it there to get fixed after an accident. After the work was "done" I was just handed the keys, no one offered to walk me through the work that was done. I found so many things that were wrong with the repair job , the main thing was that the seat was not even bolted down to the floor. The impact ripped the bolt out of the floor and was not even addressed the first time. Each time we took it in, we found more glass from the impact. There was even glass in the air vents and dash that they made a comment of it being a "pain to get to" and wanting to just leave it there. We did however have a rep that we were dealing with that was helpful as much as possible in regards to addressing problems. He should probably find a new job with a more competent garage. The last time we got the vehicle, they dropped it off with LITERALLY NO GAS to the point were the vehicle started then immediately died and we had to get gas from the nearest station. In the end, we had to take the car back in a total of 3-4 different times to address multiple issues, 2 months later and many headaches later we got our vehicle back and are taking it to a second repair center to verify that the work was done with competence and thoroughly. Conclusion; I wish this experience on no one and hopefully others can learn from my mistakes and go elsewhere to save yourself from headaches and incompetence. read more

I had a fender bender with another driver and this was where his insurance recommended. They got me in fairly quickly and arranged everything with the rental. They found more damage than originally thought and had to keep my car about 6 days longer than they thought. The day my car was ready they didn't call and let me know, I had to call them. My main problem is that I gave them my spare key which was practically brand new. They gave me back a key that looked like it had been run over and that doesn't work properly anymore. Now I didn't realize this until about 10 minutes after I left. When I called to inquire about my key and what might have happened to it Margaret at the reception desk argued with me. Of course nobody is owning up to breaking a $250 key and I was basically accused of breaking it and blaming them. I will not use them again. I'm pretty upset about this. read more

So I was given the number of this business because they work with the insurance who is paying for my car repairs. From the jump there were red flags. First off the lady on the message only listed hours Monday- Friday. When I called I spoke to a man who said they were also open Saturdays. The Saturday hours didn't work for me so I told him I'd drop it by on my lunch hour as I would be getting a rental. He precedes to argue with me that I shouldn't do that because I'd have to pay for the rental. It was none of his business but I assured him that I will have the rental covered and he STILL wanted to argue with me that I'd have to pay. Here's a tip, how about stick to body work and let the insurance agent handle the other things. How rude and bad of a business do you have to be that you turn customers off to service over the initial phone call?!? I decided to go elsewhere. Someone needs retrained. read more

Go to get est. cuz insurance company said if they did est it would speed up getting car fix no matter where I go. get there told we be right with you 20-30 min later they finally are ready to do estimate on car. takes several pics or the back and the dealer tag in door jam and walks 1 or 2 times around the car then asks. where the damage was. Keep in mid the hood was being held down with RED duck tape on a black compact with no other problems other then the front end being smashed in and hood bowed up. Didn't even bother to left hood to see damage underneath. I had to point to things he was missing on the est. Always heard bad things about them and I see why. Even after my last sour dealing 4 years ago there I gave them a second chance doing this est. Never again. Don't waste your time or money there. far better places in this area. read more
