Duh If you have an upside-down loan and can't pay it off and roll it into a new loan, you won't qualify for as good of a car. Duh. Watch videos on YT about avoiding scams, getting the best deal, and the reality of the car business, and never try to buy a car without thoroughly looking up the history of the make/model and the history of the specific VIN. If you haven't spent at least 2 hours looking up that specific make and model and how to buy a car, you are likely to get ripped off. It is your own fault. Always pay a little to take the car to a mechanic to get their opinion. They won't be able to catch everything since they won't completely disassemble the engine and transmission but they can catch a lot of potential issues. Also, the salesman did you a solid putting you in a Honda, even if said Honda was built in the US. Never, ever, and I mean ever buy a car designed by an American company. No Ford, Chrysler, or any GM make. Not ever and not even once. As an aside, not all Japanese makes are worthwhile. Nissan is the Chrysler of Japan, they suck. Unless you are the type to lease - why would you? - stick to specific models and years of Honda, Mazda, Subaru, and Toyota. What specific models and years? That is part of the reason you spend a long time at home getting advice from good YT mechanics before even thinking of going to a lot. Never buy a used European car unless you want a car that lives in the shop. American-built Japanese-designed cars are inferior to the same models which have VINs that start with "J" but are still better than American-made garbage. American car factories hire Bubba and Cletus to save money and they can not assemble parts or the entire car correctly. I heard an advertisement on the radio "$75 down and get way more than blue book for your trade in". I've been wanting a SUV with a tow package since moving here 3yrs ago. I'm still paying on my car so I know that negative equity would be applied to the price. I was in town and decided to take a look at what they have. The salesman was really nice he listened to me and understood what I was looking for he picked out a 2013 Ford that was under 100,000 miles and was a good price. I loved it. We started talking financing and whoever was doing that asked how much I could put down. This confused me cause the advertisement said $75 down even bad credit. Then I get a storyline saying that the banks won't finance me because I owe more on my car than it's worth. So the salesman, still being very nice, looks for a cheaper one for me. He finds a Honda I test drive it, I don't like it as much so I decided that maybe I would wait for my tax return to look into buying maybe next month. Salesman says well we could get you into the Honda and in six months I could trade it in for something I like better. Sounded good to me so we started talking financing again. Then I was told they won't finance the Honda because it has too many miles on it. So now still stuck in a car I don't like and feeling foolish for believing the advertisement. Truth is it's a lie just to get people in. I was asked over and over if I could put $1000 down. Was supposed to go back to see another vehicle today but the finance guys treated me so bad I didn't go back. If your not going to honor what you advertise you can't be trusted. Shopping for my sons first car. Told them our budget was $6300 and we looked at a $7900 car and was told they would do $6300. We took it to a mechanic and paid $200 to have it looked over. When it came time to do the paperwork they said they would only sell it for $7400!!! He also told us several different stories about what the dealership paid for it and how much they put into it! We spent hours between the dealership and the mechanic not to mention they knew my son was excited. So, they figured we'd pay what they wanted after putting so much time and money into checking it out. We told them that was not the deal in the beginning and made it clear what we could pay. At my initial visit when I bought my car, the car sales men was super helpful and nice and took his time to explain every question I had to me. On my second visit the very next day, I first called and was told curtly that their manger was in a meeting and to call back 30 minutes later before he hung up on me. Now the first salesman was not there and I ended up asking two salesmen for help answering my questions both of witch told me they would speak to their manager regarding my questions. It's been 60 minutes now since I was told the manager would be with me shortly... One of the salesmen I spoke to for help kept looking over my head to watch the Seahawks game, there are currently three salesmen and their manager here who have mastered ignoring us. Don't recommend!!!!!! FIRST OFF! THEY DROPPED MY CREDIT 20 POINTS TWENTY FUCKING POINTS!!!! Came in on ssi and was told they'd work with it to help get me my first car loan. Did the credit check come to find out I can apparently only spend $3000 on this crappy 93 Subaru Impreza with over 220k miles, no service records or anything. Then the guy (forgot his name) says it's actually 4k so he lied about the price and tried getting more out of me, doesn't know any records because he just got it on a trade in for probably $500 and the entire interior was soaking wet cause they "detailed" it and left the car running in 30 degree weather with 220k miles. Then he shows me this crappy caddy in the detail shop and it's a fucking POS. I told him I wanted to wait for my parents to show up to get their opinion and they said fuck no find a different place that's a rip off so I go in to tell him imma take time to think of it and he says "whatever man that's up to you". Do not recommend anyone buying from this place. I bought a truck from them and over the year that I have had it. it has been "fixed" but after it comes back from them and has more problems. I now have an overheating and brake problem that makes it unsafe at times for me to drive anywhere. I can't even have my newborn daughter safely in this truck because it is unsafe. auto credit will not help me get out of it due to them screwing me over and not wanting anything to do with this. a actual ford dealership doesn't even want to work on this thing because it's still not fixed from them. if you want a good car and are willing to go for it then go to a better dealership than auto credit. service and sales are just complete trash and have no idea what they are doing or talking about. Terrible place to do business! Stay away!!! My daughter and son-in-law purchased a vehicle a week ago. On his commute home, a tire blew out and almost resulted in a serious injury. Got the car in for repairs and come to find out there was a boatload of pre-existing conditions that make the vehicle undrivable. It's not safe to drive yet Auto Credit Sales sold the vehicle anyway, and they've refused to offer any help or recourse. HOWEVER. they SUCK at customer service once you've signed all the papers and given them your money. I've tried calling them to set up an appointment over the past few months since I've gotten my vehicle for a general maintenance check but I always sent to voicemail and not single one of them bothered to give a call back. I got annoyed so I went to their store and explained my situation and lo and behold my warranty expired so the maintenance is not covered anymore. When I arrived to look at cars from Auto Credit Sales, three people came in complaining about the car they bought from Auto Sales Credit. One of the customer warned me not to buy from them. When we did try to work a deal or negotiate they refused to budge on $600 for a trade in or reducing the purchase of a car. Then they offered a 6.9 percent interest. We left immediately and went to Jennifer's Auto Sale. It is bad service when they are not willing to negotiate. They only cover up to 2000 when it will cost 9000 for the repair. Progressive sucks too as they can't cover it because it wasn't in a n accident. My wife and I purchased a vehicle a little over a month ago. They were really nice, we found the vehicle we wanted but it didn't have the bench seat we were searching for. They said that wouldn't be a problem they would order it and switch it out. We also knew that was a small problem that was going to be fixed which would only take a couple of days. we signed the paperwork and left. Our vehicle was not ready in a couple of day more like a week and a half. When I called to find out no one had an answer as to what was taking so long when it was just a simple fix. When asked about the bench seat I was told it was going to be in in a couple of days. After a couple of days I get an excuse that what came in was the captain seats I currently had in there. They said they already ordered them and would get a call once they came in. they also lost the remote to unlock the vehicle as well and would order us a new set and would need to call a lock smith. I got tired of waiting and order a new set and programed it myself no locksmith needed. We still have not received a phone call to get the bench seat. They give you a bunch of BS answers to try an make you happy. We did however get the new key but they didn't try to program it. Such horrible service they get the sale and they are done with you.
